How to Find Olroth, Origin of the Fall
Olroth is the pinnacle boss of the Expedition content in Path of Exile 2. To encounter Olroth, you need to run Expedition Logbooks of item level 79 or 80.
Logbooks can be obtained by completing Expedition content or purchasing them via trade.
Logbook Layout: When you drop a Logbook into the Show Expedition Map window in your hideout, Dannig will offer the option to open it in one of two layouts.
Chance to Encounter Olroth: The chances to find Olroth are roughly 1 in 8 in Logbooks of level 79 or higher, though this is still based on community data.
Olroth Location: Once in a Logbook with Olroth, you will see a skull with blue eyes on the map. Blow it up to trigger the encounter.
Running the Encounter
After triggering the skull, you'll enter a Kalguuran Tomb. The area leading up to Olroth consists of a bridge, but the actual fight starts when you enter the final area.
Important: The remnants you choose before reaching Olroth will affect the skeleton adds during the fight, but Olroth himself is not influenced by them.
Preparing for the Fight
Bring a Freeze Charm and ensure your Cold Resistance is capped as Olroth deals Cold and Physical damage.
Two Key Mechanics: Olroth and the Triskelion Flame (a rotating disc that deals significant damage).
Strategy: Move around the arena about the Triskelion Flame while dodging Olroth's attacks. Always keep an eye on the flame as it telegraphs some of the most dangerous attacks.
In the higher tiers, Skeleton Adds will appear, and they carry the remnants from your Expedition, which can add difficulty.
Pre-Damage Phase
Basic Attacks: Olroth's basic sword swipes and his Chilling Slam (a cold attack that leaves a frost-bomb effect on the ground) are easy to avoid if you maintain distance.
Phase 1
Starfall Boomerang: Olroth throws his sword, which boomerangs back to him. It deals heavy Cold AoE damage, and being near him when it returns may freeze you. Strafe laterally to avoid it.
Impale: A beam of light shows where Olroth will charge, a basic attack that's easy to dodge.
