Diablo 4: 9 Rarest Items in the Game

May-18-2024 PST Diablo4

Diablo 4 introduces highly sought-after Uber Uniques, which are extremely rare and require both luck and grinding to obtain. Temerity pants are a coveted non-Uber item due to their unique perks and versatility, providing a Barrier and sustainability bonuses. The Uber Uniques, such as the Ring of Starless Skies and Ahavarion, Spear of Lycander, offer powerful boosts to damage, skills, and crowd control, enhancing gameplay for specific classes.

Diablo 4: 9 Rarest Items in the Game

Diablo 4 thrives on its endless, unpredictable bounties of riches, gear, and player-enhancing items to gather throughout Sanctuary. While the game offered several highly-exclusive Unique items from the outset, Season 1 brought the rarest of the rare: the Uber Uniques. These Diablo 4 items remain immensely scarce to the point where even some diehard players have questioned their existence. However, they do exist and require a combination of ample luck and grinding to obtain in Diablo 4. As such, it seems appropriate to highlight all seven highly-scarce Uber Uniques in Sanctuary, along with a few other extremely rare and coveted items.

This list includes the two best World Tier 3-4 Uniques usable by every class (bottom two entries), in addition to the seven Uber Uniques.

9. Temerity (Any Class)

These pants are a survivalist's dream. Like every item featured here, Temerity is a highly sought-after Unique item which can only be obtained in World Tier 3 or higher (Nightmare or Torment difficulty). Players will still want to farm in higher-ranked dungeons and Helltide events for a better chance of finding one; though they're at least not near impossible to obtain like the Uber Uniques.

As far as non-Ubers go, Temerity is coveted quite a bit for its unique perks and its versatility, as it can be worn by any class lucky enough to stumble upon one. Those who use healing liberally will likely want to seek these out, as it rewards players by granting a Barrier up to 40 to 80 percent of the avatar's maximum life, holding for an eight-second duration. They also aid in sustainability in other ways; bumping up the rate of health potion drops, increasing healing received, and increasing all stats a bit.

8. Fists Of Fate (Any Class)

These Unique gloves are among the best in the game - at least for those worn by any class. As its name implies, the player will leave much in the hands of the deities with the gear's erratic stats. Most of its perks and stat boosts are tethered to random chance on some level, though they have a high ceiling in terms of potential.

The gloves lean heavily on the 'Lucky Hit' mechanic, whereby landing one grants various boosts. These include the chance to Daze, heal, Immobilize, and restore health. Attacks will also sporadically deal a given percentage more than the baseline stat, spanning all the way to 300 percent. Those who frequently grind will find the gear rather fun and useful for their build, especially for the Lucky Hit Rogue build.

7. Uber Unique: Ring Of Starless Skies (Any Class)

While it won't revolutionize one's build compared to most other Ubers, the Ring of Starless Skies is still coveted for its damage-boosting and its versatility; being usable by any class. Those who favor Core Skills will want to seek out this gem, as it offers decent bumps in Core Skill damage and brings down the resource cost of succeeding Core Skills, maxing out at 40 percent. It's also quite good at weathering the hostile elements of nature; both fire and cold.

6. Uber Unique: Ahavarion, Spear Of Lycander (Druid, Sorcerer)

One of the most powerful and desired weapons in the game, players will have their work cut out for them when securing this Uber Unique - along with the six other Ubers of its ilk. Not only will players need to hunt in the grueling World Tier 3 or 4, but they and the monsters they face must be level 85 or higher.

The spear thrives on crowd control and staving off waves of foes at once; a common occurrence in the game. Ahavarion grants a generous portion of added DPS (damage per second) in various ways, bumping up attack speed, attacks per second, and raw damage. Lucky Hits also yield a chance to stun targets, and a boost of damage to crowd-controlled enemies is also given. These traits allow players to overpower foes even when vastly outnumbered.

5. Uber Unique: The Grandfather (Barbarian, Necromancer)

This massive weapon serves to complement and enhance the already potent Barbarian class, while giving some needed offense to the Necro too. The weapon is a powerhouse in terms of sheer damage output, while bolstering survivability by boosting maximum health and all stats. Not only this, but it includes the resourceful bonus of disregarding durability loss that comes from dying. Those who find themselves perishing more than they'd like can at least take solace in the fact that they won't lose precious wealth frequently repairing this sword.

4. Uber Unique: Harlequin Crest (Any Class)

While it may not look like much, this ghoulish headdress is appealing for its highly useful perk of bumping all Skills by four ranks. This essentially does the same job of countless leveling up, and instantly enhances the player to an absurd degree. This is supplemented by a moderate boost to all stats, damage reduction, and maximum life. Not only this, but the (relatively) small boost to resource generation and cooldown reduction ensures players can utilize skills more often while wreaking havoc on foes.

3. Uber Unique: Andariel's Visage (Any Class)

Players who spend ample time down in the swamp will want to get their hands on the distinct helm called Andariel's Visage. Not only does it weather the irritating poison DoT (damage over time) with efficiency, but it also goes a step beyond with its great life-stealing feature and the potential to inflict poison damage. This helm also boosts one's overall offensive prowess, with a small boost in every stat as well as attack speed.

2. Uber Unique: Melted Heart Of Selig (Any Class)

Elemental damage can be pesky in Diablo 4, given the subtly dangerous wear-and-tear of DoT they bring. Players bothered by this may want to hold on to the Melted Heart of Selig on the off-chance it's found, as it brings ample resistance to all elements. On the flip side, it enables more elemental damage from players - with decent boosts in resource generation and maximum resource. This is compounded by having players drain resource when taking damage. Needless to say, this is a great Amulet for frequent spellcasters, though it can be used by anyone.

1. Uber Unique: Doombringer

This elegant sword can allow players to deal loads of DPS with its generous damage, critical, and core skill damage. This is topped off with the Lucky Hit feature which grants a chance to hit enemies with hundreds or even thousands in Shadow damage to surrounding foes, while reducing their damage inflicted for several seconds. Add some maximum life and a chance to heal, and the Doombringer truly lives up to its name - while lessening the odds that doom begets the player.
