How to Get Distilled Emotions
The primary way to obtain Distilled Emotions is by running maps with a Delirium encounter. These maps can be identified by a small white icon on the endgame Atlas. Upon entering, you will encounter Delirium Fog, and your goal is to remain inside it while eliminating as many monsters as possible.
As you defeat enemies, a reward meter in the bottom-left corner of the screen will fill up. The more rewards you accumulate, the greater the number of Distilled Emotions you will receive at the end of the encounter. To maximize your yield, try to enhance the map with Pack Size, Monster Rarity, and other encounters that increase monster spawns, such as Ritual or Expedition.
For those who prefer not to farm Distilled Emotions, they are also available through trading. You can obtain them via the in-game Currency Exchange, which unlocks after completing Act 3 on Normal difficulty. Simply speak with Finn, Risu, or Alva in any Settlement, open the Currency Exchange, and select Distilled Emotions under the 'I Want' section. How to Use Distilled Emotions
Distilled Emotions serve two key functions in Path of Exile 2: Anointing Amulets and adding Delirium Effects to Waystones.
Anointing Amulets
Anointing allows players to gain the benefits of a Notable Passive Skill without having to allocate it in the Passive Tree. This is particularly useful for endgame builds that need specific passives but lack enough Skill Points to reach them.
For example, if you're running a Stormweaver Spark build, the Icebreaker passive provides Freeze immunity. However, traveling to this node in the Passive Tree would require around ten additional Skill Points. Instead, you can use Distilled Emotions to Anoint your Amulet and gain the same effect without investing extra points.
To Anoint an Amulet, right-click (or press X/Square on consoles) on any Distilled Emotion in your inventory. This will open the Anointing Menu, where you can place the required Distilled Emotions in the bottom slots and your Amulet in the top slot. Once everything is set, click the 'Anoint' button to apply the chosen Notable Passive Skill to your Amulet.
