Summary

Ritual can be a powerful way to build currency in PoE 2 0.5.5, especially if you're chasing valuable rewards like Mageblood. The key is to run Ritual quickly and maximize the number of rewards you can see rather than relying on one perfect setup.

Start by pathing through Delirium toward the Ritual points at Karth. Unlocking these points should be an early priority because they give you access to important Ritual passives and allow you to defer valuable rewards.

You'll need to defeat Bodok to unlock the Ritual points. If your build isn't strong against bosses, getting a carry can be worthwhile. To make that process smoother, buy POE2 Currency and secure the gear upgrades.

Prioritize Patient Devotion

The first important node to take is Patient Devotion, which reduces the Tribute cost of deferring favors by 50%. This is extremely important when a high-value item such as Mageblood appears.

Without this reduction, deferring an expensive chase item can cost more than 2,000 Tribute. Since you won't necessarily generate that much Tribute in every map, reducing the cost makes it much easier to secure valuable drops consistently.

After that, take Tainted with the Selection and its connected nodes. These bias Ritual rewards toward belts, which is particularly useful when you're hunting for Mageblood, while also providing access to valuable flasks.

Eventually, you should complete the rest of the Ritual passive tree. The toggle option that provides 10% more Ritual favors can also be attractive because more favors mean more opportunities to find valuable rewards.

Scale Ritual With Pack Size

Once your core Ritual passives are unlocked, pack size becomes one of the main ways to scale the mechanic.

More monsters generate more Tribute, and more Tribute gives you more opportunities to reroll Ritual favors. This becomes especially powerful when your tablets provide additional rerolls.

Search your Atlas passive tree for pack-size bonuses and prioritize them when building your farming setup.

The same principle applies to your maps. High-pack-size maps provide more Tribute and therefore give you more value from your Ritual encounters.

Run High-Pack-Size Maps

For stronger Ritual setups, use six-mod maps with high pack size. The strategy described in the source uses an Alchemy Orb followed by two Exalted Orbs to create these maps.

The drawback is that these maps can be dangerous and leave you with only one portal. Because of this, additional survivability and portal options become particularly valuable.

The setup recommends Doriani for a second life and Stitch the Flesh for an additional portal. Waystone modifiers that increase the effect of existing modifiers can also improve pack size when the map already has a pack-size modifier.

Evolutionary Pressure is another generally useful option.

The source also recommends avoiding Survival of the Fittest and Man Trap for this strategy, with Man Trap being described as bugged because the Rogue Exiles do not spawn inside Essences as intended.

Craft Ritual Tablets Yourself

You don't need to buy expensive Ritual tablets to get started. Most of the tablets used in this strategy can be self-crafted.

Two modifiers stand out above the others:

Ritual favors in your map have 70% increased chance to be Omens

Ritual altars in maps allow rerolling favors 1–3 additional times

The first modifier improves access to valuable Omens, while the second dramatically increases the number of times you can search Ritual rewards.

Tablet Crafting Method

Start by using a Transmutation Orb on your Ritual tablet and then an Augmentation Orb.

Search the modifiers for "omen" to find the increased Omen chance modifier. You can also search for "allow" to identify the modifier that gives Ritual altars additional rerolls.

The additional-reroll modifier is particularly valuable. The source gives examples of tablets with 10 uses and three additional rerolls having significant market value.

If a tablet doesn't hit either of your desired modifiers, use an Alchemy Orb to reroll it and give yourself another chance.

Other modifiers can still be useful, but these two are the primary targets for this farming strategy.

Optimize Freedom of Faith Chains

For the stronger Ritual setup, use the Freedom of Faith unique tablet. The strategy also uses Head of the King, obtained as a guaranteed reward from the Audience of the King boss fight.

Head of the King allows you to interact with purple-highlighted nodes and select a chain.

Build Chains Around Rerolls and Rewards

When choosing a chain, prioritize modifiers that improve the entire chain. Increased favors and additional rerolls are especially valuable early because their benefits continue through the subsequent encounters.

Toward the end of the chain, look for valuable rewards such as Chaos Orbs and Divine Orbs.

If the first available chain doesn't look worthwhile, you can leave and search for another node elsewhere on your Atlas. However, you cannot repeatedly reset the exact same node because its rewards remain the same.

How to Farm Mageblood Through Ritual

Once your setup is ready, the goal is to maximize the number of Ritual rewards you can inspect.

A sample run from the source used one Freedom of Faith tablet and two self-crafted Omen tablets. The setup generated 12 rerolls and 26,000 Tribute while using high pack size as the primary source of scaling.

When a Ritual encounter offers nothing valuable, reroll it. Search for valuable Omens, desirable uniques, and especially chase items such as Mageblood and Headhunter.

Always Defer Valuable Rewards

If Mageblood or another valuable item appears, defer it instead of rerolling it away.

The objective is to keep the item available while reducing its eventual Tribute cost. With the Ritual deferral passives, you can make expensive chase rewards much easier to claim.

However, don't waste Tribute on low-value items. The source specifically recommends avoiding Sacred Blooms for the current strategy unless their value changes later in the league.

Also, don't panic if a rare reward disappears during a reroll. Very rare items may not appear immediately on every refresh, so their temporary absence doesn't necessarily mean the reward is gone.

For unfamiliar unique items, use Exile Exchange 2 to check their current value. PoE Ninja can also help you learn which uniques and rewards are worth targeting.

The Key to Profitable Ritual Farming

The biggest lesson from this Ritual strategy is that volume matters more than having a perfect tablet.

Use a fast build, unlock the important Ritual Atlas passives, stack pack size, craft your own tablets, and prioritize additional rerolls. When valuable rewards appear, defer them correctly instead of wasting Tribute on mediocre items.

Good tablets can improve your chances, but running faster Ritual encounters ultimately gives you more opportunities to hit Mageblood and other high-value rewards. To sustain that pace, POE2 Currency can help you cover the cost of tablets.
