Next, move through Lumbridge Swamp. Kill Giant Rats and Spiders, cook rat meat, then catch 10 Shrimp, one Herring, and one Anchovy. Cook five fish while keeping one raw shrimp.
Mine Clay, prospect a rock, and collect 10 Copper and 10 Tin Ore. These short objectives are worth combining because they save several future trips.

Continue toward the lighthouse and check for the drunken villager. If he isn't there, skip him. Deposit your ores at the Havenhythe Furnace metal bank, then move through the nearby farming and gathering objectives.
Pick five Flax, spin it into thread, search the Hollow Tree, and mine 20 Haven Silver Ore. Complete the nearby exploration and combat objectives before returning to Lumbridge.

Um, Karamja, and Varrock
Visit the Wizard's Tower and enter the Rune Realm, siphon the Fire Sprite, and complete the Yellow Wizard objective. Then progress through Necromancy! and the small Necromancy ritual.
At Um, summon a Skeleton, complete the fusion ritual, and unlock the Um Lodestone.
From there, travel through Karamja and Brimhaven. Collect Seaweed, kill a Snake, grab an Agility Arena ticket, scatter an Imp's ashes, fill Luthas's banana crate, and pick a Pineapple near the dungeon.
Then head to Varrock, mine Iron, unlock the lodestone, kill a Dark Wizard, collect Cadava Berries, steal from the Tea Stall, and feed the stray dog a bone.

Gear Up and Finish the Major Quest Chain

Finish Cook's Assistant, complete Vampyre Slayer, unlock Edgeville, kill a nearby Bandit, and complete the Player Safety Stronghold. Mine Coal at Barbarian Village.
Finally, teleport to Wendwick, plant Potatoes and Marigolds, create a Birdhouse using four Clockwork devices, harvest your Birdhouses, and give a Marigold to Anja at the Archaeology Guild camp.

That's the Day 1 snowball. By combining quests, skills, travel unlocks, combat, gathering, and milestone objectives, you should be ready to claim your T3 relic and first region without wasting your opening hours.
If you picked the Desert, head to Sophanem next and start working through the Pyramid raid. Searching the large golden chests across the rooms should be one of your next priorities.
The key isn't grinding one skill for hours. It's doing several objectives at once and keeping your travel time as low as possible.
