Aion 2: Understanding Duty Quests and Their Importance

Aion 2 Dec-19-2025 PST

In Aion 2, duty quests have emerged as one of the most crucial aspects of the game’s endgame content. They are a daily requirement for players looking to progress their characters in both PvP and PvE scenarios. These quests are one of the important ways for you to advance in the game and obtain Aion 2 Kinah and items. In this article, we’ll delve into what duty quests are, where to find them, and why they should be a mandatory part of your daily routine.

Aion 2: Understanding Duty Quests and Their Importance

What Are Duty Quests

Duty quests are daily tasks that you must complete to earn valuable resources and points that are essential for your character’s progression. Completing these quests rewards you with Abyss Points, which are vital for acquiring high-tier PvP gear, as well as other valuable materials that significantly enhance your character's power.

How to Access Duty Quests

To find duty quests, follow these steps:

1. Open Your User Interface: Press the J key on your keyboard. This opens your quest menu, where you can view various quest options.

2. Locate Duty Quests: In the quest interface, navigate to the upper part of the screen labeled "Duty." Here, you’ll see different duty quests available for that day.

3.  Understand the Daily Limit: You can complete a maximum of five duty quests each day. Quests reset at 10 p.m. (Korea) or 9 p.m. (Taiwan).

Why Are Duty Quests Important

1. Abyss Points Accumulation: Each duty quest completed awards you with 500 Abyss Points. Completing five quests daily yields a total of 2,500 Abyss Points. Over the course of a month, this equates to 75,000 Abyss Points—a substantial amount for purchasing high-tier gear.

2. Material Rewards: In addition to Abyss Points, duty quests also grant you various materials, including crafting items and the coveted Aial Traces—fragments essential for crafting the Donian Crystal Ariel.

3. Enhanced PvE Power: The Donian Crystal Ariel is vital for boosting your character's PvE attributes, such as boss defense and attack, which are crucial for enhancing your performance in PvE activities.

Refreshing Duty Quests

If you don’t see desirable fragments in your current duty quest options, you can refresh the list. Each refresh costs Kina, the in-game currency, but it’s worth it to find the best rewards.

1. Choosing Your Quests: When refreshing, aim to select quests that provide Aial Traces. A single quest can yield anywhere from one to nine fragments, contributing towards your crafting needs.

2. Take Note of Quest Types: Duty quests can involve defeating mobs, collecting items, or even tackling mini-bosses in specified areas. While some may be time-consuming, they are generally easy to complete.

Implementing Duty Quests into Your Routine

1. Daily Commitment: Make it a habit to complete your five duty quests every day right after the reset time. This will ensure a consistent accumulation of Abyss Points and beneficial materials.

2. Plan Your Playtime: If certain quests require defeating mini-bosses or specific enemy types, plan your play sessions to maximize efficiency. Aim for the hardest quests when your character is at peak power.

3. Combine with Other Activities: You can take on duty quests alongside other in-game activities, such as gathering resources or participating in PvP battles, to make the most of your playtime.

Duty quests are a cornerstone of the endgame experience in Aion 2, providing players with essential rewards that contribute to character progression. By understanding how to access and efficiently complete these quests, you can significantly improve your character's performance in both PvE and PvP content.
