Compared to the previous game, strategy items are now presented in Madden Ultimate Team 23 in a simple format. For now, there are only three types of strategy items: defensive items, offensive items, and team affinity items. The best thing is that all the strategy items can be auctioned. Players won’t be able to upgrade these items at all. There are three tiers of each strategy item which are given below.

· Let It Rip (QB/OL) – This item is best for passing and running the ball as it features a +3 impact block, +2 deep accuracy, and +2 throw power.
· On The Move (HB/QB) – This is a good option at the start of the game, where you will need running backs and a lot of them. It offers a +2 spin move, +1 break tackle, and +2 juke move.
· Reel In (WR) – For wide receivers, it is a very good option as it offers +1 spectacular catch, +2 catch in traffic, and +2 short route running.
Best Defensive Items
· Ball Hawk (CB) – It provides good coverage in corners and is ranked as the best strategy item for a defensive lineup.
