Diablo 4 Season 11 PTR Class Ranking: Full Tower Leaderboard Breakdown

Diablo4 Dec-06-2025 PST

The PTR has already given us one of the most chaotic balance previews Diablo 4 has seen yet. Barbarians clearing Tower tier 124, the next closest class at 109, and rogue stuck nearly 30 tiers behind Barb's moon-level scaling-yeah, it's wild. But before you panic or reroll, remember this: PTR numbers never ship untouched, and what we're seeing right now is more of a design intention than final balance.

Diablo 4 Season 11 PTR Class Ranking: Full Tower Leaderboard Breakdown

Today, we're breaking down every class, every top PTR build, and what you can realistically expect when Season 11 goes live.

Why Tower Rankings Matter

For the first time in Diablo 4's life, we have actual leaderboards built directly into an endgame activity. The new Tower uses the exact same tier-scaling and difficulty curve as The Pit, but with one major difference:

we can finally see a ranked list of clears for every class.

It's not perfect on the PTR-some tiers display backwards and placements sometimes bug out-but it gives us a real, data-driven look at class performance instead of relying purely on streamers, anecdotes, or vibes.

Everything below is PTR data, meaning numbers will change, but the rankings show what Blizzard is aiming for-and what playstyles are rising with the new item reworks.

Let's start from the bottom and climb.

Rank 6-Rogue (Tier 94)

Rogue is currently dead last on Tower leaderboards with a max clear of tier 94, and the class is in one of its strangest PTR states ever.

What Happened?

Early PTR testing had Rogue's new Dance of Knives unique absolutely deleting leaderboards-genuinely broken top-tier clears in both Pit and Tower. Blizzard patched it, hard, and now the pendulum has swung the other way. Dance of Knives setups are mediocre, clunky, and nowhere near competitive.

The Current Best Build-Death Trap Rogue

Death Trap once again leads the Rogue pack, not because it's newly powerful, but because the class has defaulted back to its "safe option." The key interaction comes from the reworked Melted Heart of Selíg, which is the most important mythic this season and will be mentioned repeatedly:

Your max resource is increased by 3% per point of your main stat

Damage is taken from resource first

Max Life is reduced by 75%

If you avoid damage for 6 sec, your entire resource refills in 3 sec

For endgame characters with ~3000 main stat, that's 9000+ extra resource, creating insane synergy with Beastfall Boots and Ultimate-to-Core interactions.

However, Selíg is bugged, making survivability weaker than intended, and Rogue suffers more than other classes.

Live Server Prediction

Rogue is almost guaranteed to receive buffs, likely to reverse the over-nerfing of Dance of Knives. Don't count Rogue out for Season 11 launch-PTR isn't the final word.

Rank 5-Sorcerer (Tier 103)

Tied with Necromancer in clear tier but slower by seconds, Sorcerer lands in fifth place-and honestly, this class is having an identity crisis.

Why the Drop?

Sorcerer's Season 10 power depended heavily on:

 Teleport enchantment spam

 Chaos perks

 Cooldown-cheese movement tech

All of that is gone.

Teleport is even worse on live than PTR due to a cooldown bug that's giving Sorc too many teleports on test servers. So movement and speed farming drop significantly.

The Leading Build-Crackling Energy Lightning Spear

Classic, reliable, electrifying. This setup uses:

ESU's Heirloom for crackling energy loops

Galvanic Azerite Ring for bonus crackling spawns

Lightning Spear for mobility and quick clearing

Hydra builds are surprisingly strong this patch, and Frozen Orb may rise further with its reworked unique, but on PTR, Crackling Energy remains king.

Live Server Prediction

Sorcerer will be fine-not top tier, not bottom tier. Think middle of the pack, safe but unspectacular compared to its Season 10 power.

Rank 4-Necromancer (Tier 103)

Necromancer ties Sorcerer but claims fourth thanks to a faster clear time. Like always, Necro is solid, predictable, and quietly powerful.

The Current Best Build-Shadow Blight

Nothing new, nothing flashy-just the classic Shadow Blight synergy returning to the top after Blood Surge and Bloodwave fell from grace with chaos perks removed.

The Big Surprise-Golem Necromancer

PTR introduced Gravebloom, a new unique that fundamentally changes golem viability:

Replaces your single golem with three mini-golems

 60% standard damage

 +30% attack speed

 Golems can strike twice

 +2 to Golem Mastery

This is the first time in Diablo 4's lifespan that Golem builds look genuinely meta-capable, with clears reaching Tower 100.

Live Server Prediction

Necro remains the safest pick in Diablo 4.

Never broken, never bad-always viable.

Rank 3-Druid (Tier 105)

Druid takes third with a tier 105 clear, powered primarily by Cataclysm snapshotting, but PTR bugs make its future uncertain.

Why Cataclysm Is So Strong

Cataclysm snapshot builds stack buffs before activating the ultimate, causing all buffs to "lock" onto the long-duration skill.

What makes it explode on PTR this season is Selíg's resource scaling combined with the Ancestral Guidance legendary paragon:

1% increased ultimate damage per spirit when cast

Selíg easily gives Druids 10,000+ spirit

 Snapshotting locks that bonus in

Damage numbers become absurd.

But There's a Catch

Every other resource-scaling effect in the game has a 500-resource cap.

Ancestral Guidance does not… yet.

Expect this to be capped before launch.

Live Server Prediction

If the cap hits:

Upper-middle tier

If it doesn't:

Potential #1 contender

Other strong options: Poison Pulverize, Boulder, Shred speed farming.

Rank 2-Spiritborn (Tier 109)

Spiritborn arrives as Season 11's newcomer and immediately stakes a claim as a top-tier class. The top clear-tier 109-comes from a surprising build:

The Top Build-Evade Spiritborn

This build may be suffering from defensive bugs granting near-immortality on PTR, but even without the bug, damage is exceptional due to:

 Unyielding Commander legendary aspect

Armor rework making it easy to hit absurd armor values

Weapon damage scaling tied to that armor

The build hits the cap effortlessly, freeing up gear for more multipliers.

Other Strong Spiritborn Builds

Using the powerful Rod of Kheel, Spiritborn has multiple high-tier options:

 Quill Volley

 Crushing Hand (Gorilla form)

 Rake (Jaguar core skill)

Payback / Touch of Death converted into core skills

Spiritborn has the most build diversity of any class right now.

Live Server Prediction

Spiritborn stays top-tier.

Fast, strong, versatile-players who loved it in Season 10 will love it again.

Rank 1-Barbarian (Tier 124)

The undisputed, completely broken PTR king:

Barbarian cleared Tower tier 124, 15 tiers beyond the next class.

The Build-Hammer of the Ancients

And yes-this will absolutely be nerfed.

Why Barbarian Is So Far Ahead

Barb has the highest potential main stat of any class due to:

 Four weapon slots

 Two of them being two-handers

This means Barb gets the most out of Selíg's resource scaling.

But that's just the start.

Two Uncapped Interactions Are Breaking the Game

1.Ramaladni's Magnum Opus

2.Multiplicative damage per resource

3.Selíg gives thousands of resource

4.Damage skyrockets into absurd territory

5.Furious Enhancement (HOTA)

6.Bonus crit damage and crit chance per 10 resource

7.No cap

8.Scales into insanity when you have 8000–12,000 resource

This combination is why Barb is 15 tiers ahead and why Blizzard will cap everything to 500 resource before launch.

Live Server Prediction

Barb will still be strong-likely top or near-top-but not this strong.

Possible strong alternatives in Season 11:

 Lunging Strike builds

Leap Barb (new Chain Scourge Mail pants)

 Classic Mighty Throw

Final Thoughts-Season 11 Looks Promising, But Not Finished

The item rework is meaningful.

Tempering and Masterworking are cleaner.

Build variety is wider.

But enchanting is now significantly more RNG-heavy, and some reworked affixes make finding a usable item base harder than ever.

We will continue to monitor information about each season of Diablo 4 and provide services such as Diablo 4 Gold and Diablo 4 Items to help players experience better game content.
