Path of Exile 2's third act wastes no time escalating the danger level, and by the time you push through the humid swamps leading into the Jungle Ruins, it becomes clear that step up your play. Enemies hit harder, spawn more aggressively, and appear with a wider variety of threats than earlier areas. Hidden among these dangers are several optional bosses, brutal encounters that reward players willing to take on additional challenges. One of the most notable early in Act 3 is Mighty Silverfist, a towering ape who fights using sheer brute force and a stone pillar ripped from an ancient ruin. Defeating him not only offers valuable rewards but also helps newer players refine their dodging, spacing, and stamina management.

This guide explains exactly how to find Mighty Silverfist, break down his attacks, and defeat him efficiently. If you're looking to farm Act 3 content or collect resources to trade for POE 2 Currency, conquering this optional boss is absolutely worthwhile.
Where to Find Mighty Silverfist
Mighty Silverfist isn't located in a static position. Instead, like many Act 3 encounters, the Jungle Ruins can spawn with different layouts depending on the instance you enter. That said, the boss most often appears near the center of the Jungle Ruins, at a location called the Temple Ruins.
You will usually recognize the area by the heavy stone architecture scattered around the clearing and the packs of jungle-themed mobs roaming nearby. These smaller enemies, while not deadly on their own, can quickly become a distraction during the fight. When entering this region, take a moment to clear all nearby mobs first. Having a stray archer or poisonous lizard nearby can interrupt your dodging rhythm and make a relatively manageable fight far more chaotic than it needs to be.
Once the surrounding area is safe, step toward the center platform and prepare for Mighty Silverfist to leap into the arena and initiate combat.
Understanding Mighty Silverfist's Moveset
Unlike many story bosses in Path of Exile 2, Mighty Silverfist does not rely on elemental damage, special ailments, or magical effects. His threat comes from raw physical damage delivered through wide, sweeping attacks powered by his stone pillar. This makes the fight very readable and fair, but also extremely punishing if you ignore telegraphs.
Here are his primary attacks:
1. Slam
Silverfist raises the pillar high over his head before smashing it straight down in front of him. The impact creates a shockwave of dirt and debris that erupts outward in a small radius. While easy to recognize, this attack hits incredibly hard and can one-shot fragile builds if you are under-leveled.
How to dodge: Move backward or to either side as soon as he lifts the pillar overhead.
2. Slash
If you remain too close to his body, Silverfist performs a quick horizontal swing that covers a small arc from left to right. Without pause, he then transitions directly into a powerful downward smash.
