Summary

Diablo 4 Season 15 is shaping up to have a very different meta from previous seasons. The Season 15 PTR shows a clear shift toward Damage over Time builds, largely because of the new Soul Shards and their powerful damage multipliers. This early tier list focuses on the strongest builds seen during PTR testing and leaderboard pushing. The current results already show which classes and builds have the most potential for high-tier Pit content. To gear up and test your build quickly, buy Diablo 4 Gold and grab the essential items without the grind.

Diablo 4 Season 15 Build Tier List

The current top tier is dominated by Warlock, Spiritborn, Rogue, and Barbarian. Necromancer and Sorcerer remain capable of strong clears, while Druid and Paladin are currently further behind.

S-Tier Builds

Warlock: Blazing Stream, Apocalypse, Hellhound/Abodean

Spiritborn: Poison Swarm

Rogue: Poison Pen Shot, Poison Rain of Arrows

Barbarian: Charge Barb

These builds currently have the highest ceiling based on PTR performance.

A-Tier Builds

Barbarian: Whirlwind, Rend, Upheaval

Necromancer: Shadow DoT, Blood Wave

Sorcerer: Ring of Fire and emerging Freeze variants

Spiritborn: Lightning Thrash

Druid: Rabies

Warlock: Hellhound-focused variants

The exact order can change significantly once Blizzard adjusts the strongest interactions before launch.

Warlock: The Strongest Season 15 Class

Warlock is currently the standout class on the PTR. Multiple builds are reaching extremely high damage numbers, with some testing showing extraordinary Pit performance.

Blazing Stream Warlock

Blazing Stream is one of the most powerful Damage over Time builds currently being tested. The build benefits heavily from the new Soul Shards and other damage multipliers.

Its biggest advantage is that it combines tremendous damage with a relatively smooth playstyle compared with some previous Warlock builds.

Apocalypse Warlock

Apocalypse is another top Warlock option built around enormous burst damage.

Some PTR interactions have produced exceptionally high Wrath values, including reported cases involving interactions with Melted Heart. These interactions appear problematic and may be fixed before Season 15 launches.

Even if the most extreme interactions are removed, Apocalypse should remain a build worth watching because its basic scaling is already very strong.

Hellhound and Abodean Builds

Warlock also has easier farming-oriented options. Hellhound-based builds can allow players to move through content while the Hellhound handles much of the killing.

This makes them particularly interesting for players who value simple farming rather than maximum Pit-pushing potential.

Spiritborn: Poison Swarm Remains Elite

Spiritborn is currently one of the strongest classes despite the heavy presence of DoT builds throughout the meta.

Poison Swarm Spiritborn

Poison Swarm is the primary Spiritborn build to watch in Season 15. It combines strong Damage over Time scaling with powerful multipliers from new and existing items.

The build can use multiple new items and powerful damage multipliers, allowing it to reach extremely high Pit performance.

Testing has shown potential for Pit 150 clears, with some reported runs finishing around five minutes.

For players looking for a high-end pushing build, Poison Swarm is currently one of the safest choices to keep on the radar.

Rogue: Poison Builds Take Over

Rogue has also moved heavily toward Poison and Damage over Time mechanics.

Poison Pen Shot

Poison Pen Shot is one of the strongest Rogue builds on the PTR and is considered a serious candidate for extremely high Pit clears.

Testing has already reached around Pit 145, while the available gear still leaves room for improvement. This suggests that the build could potentially push even higher once players optimize their equipment.

Poison Rain of Arrows

Poison Rain of Arrows follows a similar strategy by scaling Poison and Damage over Time effects.

Both builds benefit from the same broader Season 15 meta: powerful DoT multipliers are making poison-based builds significantly more competitive.

Barbarian: Charge Still Leads the Class

Barbarian remains strong, although several traditional builds have been affected by nerfs.

Charge Barbarian

Charge is currently the strongest Barbarian option on the PTR.

The build benefits significantly from the new Soul Shard mechanics, particularly the ability to increase Damage over Time output. Because Charge can take advantage of powerful damage scaling while maintaining strong mobility, it remains a top-tier option.

Current testing suggests that Charge Barbarian could potentially reach around Pit 150.

Whirlwind Barbarian

Whirlwind remains one of the best Barbarian builds for farming.

However, changes to Ramaladni have created Fury-management problems. Players choosing Whirlwind will need to solve their resource generation before attempting high-end content.

Despite the nerfs, Whirlwind remains an attractive choice when fast farming is more important than maximum Pit progression.

Rend and Upheaval

Rend has become more interesting because of changes to its mechanics and the new Soul Shard scaling.

Self-cast Rend can provide a more ranged-oriented Barbarian playstyle while maintaining strong damage against bosses.

Upheaval is another viable option, although both builds currently sit below Charge in terms of overall potential.

 Diablo 4 Gold

Necromancer: Shadow DoT Gains Ground

Necromancer received buffs on the PTR, and the class is increasingly moving toward Shadow Damage over Time builds.

Shadow DoT Necromancer

Shadow DoT is currently the strongest Necromancer direction.

The build takes advantage of powerful DoT scaling and new damage multipliers, allowing it to compete with other high-end builds.

Blood Wave

Blood Wave remains a solid option and should still be capable of strong Pit clears, although current testing places it below Shadow DoT.

Necromancer is therefore viable for Season 15, but it does not currently appear to have the same ceiling as Warlock, Spiritborn, Rogue, or Barbarian.

Sorcerer: Strong but Too Dependent on DoT

Sorcerer has a less impressive PTR showing.

Ring of Fire

Ring of Fire remains the dominant Sorcerer build despite receiving nerfs.

The build continues to benefit from the Season 15 damage-over-time environment and powerful damage multipliers.

There is still hope for Freeze-based builds, but current leaderboard results remain heavily concentrated around Ring of Fire.

Druid and Paladin Need More Buffs

Druid and Paladin currently appear to be the weakest classes among the major Season 15 contenders.

Rabies Druid

Rabies is one of the more interesting new Druid options. It uses DoT scaling and can take advantage of several powerful multipliers.

However, Shred has been heavily nerfed, and the overall Druid class appears to have lost considerable power compared with its previous position.

Paladin

Paladin is currently struggling with scaling.

Several sets and mechanics do not provide enough skill-rank scaling, which limits the class's ability to take full advantage of powerful Charm bonuses.

Until Blizzard provides additional scaling or buffs, Paladin is difficult to recommend for serious Pit pushing.

How to Choose Your Season 15 Build

For Maximum Pit Pushing

Start with Warlock, Poison Swarm Spiritborn, Poison Pen Shot Rogue, or Charge Barbarian if your priority is pushing the highest possible Pit tiers.

For Fast Farming

Whirlwind Barbarian and simpler Warlock builds are attractive when clear speed and low-complexity gameplay matter more than maximum Pit progression.

For a New Playstyle

Rend Barbarian, Rabies Druid, and the emerging Shadow DoT Necromancer offer alternatives to the dominant meta builds.

 Diablo 4 Gold

Final Season 15 Tier List

The current PTR picture is clear: Warlock is the class with the highest overall potential, while Spiritborn, Rogue, and Barbarian form the next group of elite options.

The strongest builds are increasingly centered around Damage over Time, Soul Shards, and powerful damage multipliers. However, these rankings should be treated as a pre-launch draft. Several broken interactions and balance issues are likely to be changed before Season 15 begins.

For now, the safest builds to prepare for are Warlock Blazing Stream/Apocalypse, Poison Swarm Spiritborn, Poison Pen Shot Rogue, and Charge Barbarian. To gear up these builds quickly, Diablo 4 Gold can help you acquire the key uniques and materials needed for each without the farming grind.
