Summary
After sharing my previous build update at around 7 billion DPS, I've made significant upgrades and pushed this Erika 3 Vendetta setup to nearly 200 billion damage. If you're looking to accelerate your own progression and skip some of the grinding, you can buy Torchlight: Infinite Flame Elementium from trusted platforms to fund your gear upgrades. This guide breaks down exactly what changed, the priority upgrades, and the key mechanics that made the difference.
Overview: The Build at a Glance
Class: Erika 3 (Vendetta Trait)
Current Stats:
Energy Shield: ~75k with all conditions up
Damage: ~200 billion DPS (varies by setup)
Currency Earned: ~7k FE this season
Erika 3 has become a standout build this season due to her lightning-fast teleports between enemies, similar to Path of Exile's Flicker Strike. Her Vendetta trait synergizes perfectly with rapid movement, making her ideal for clearing maps at warp speed .
The Core Damage Combo: Four Medium Slots
The biggest damage multiplier came from combining four medium Destiny slots:
Destiny | Effect | Priority |
Kismets | Core combo damage scaling | High |
Peerless | Extra combo finisher charge | High |
Tiger's Chain | Combo damage scaling | Medium |
Acetic | Combo damage scaling | Medium |
These four together provide easily more than double damage for just four medium Destiny slots. Peerless is the standout - combining it with Art of Anima gives you extra combo points and an additional finisher charge, allowing you to do at least three combo finishers back to back.
If you've played Spectral Slash, you know the combo finisher is where the big damage comes from . With this setup, combo points can spike up to 16 or higher .
Pricing Guide:
Peerless: ~50 FE (varies by liquidity)
Acetic: ~50 FE
Tiger's Chain: ~50 FE
Start with Acetic and Tiger's Chain first, then invest in Peerless when you have the currency.
Critical Damage: The Missing Piece
My previous build had only ~250% crit damage because memories weren't rolled well and gear lacked crit damage. After focusing on this:
Current crit damage: ~600% (plus additional applying only to Fizz)
Priority lines to roll:
Attack crit damage (on memories)
Fizz crit damage (on memories)
Combo crit damage (on memories - though attack speed lines don't work since everything is triggered by Vendetta)
Gear sources for crit damage:
Helmet
Chest
Boots (with crit damage mod)
The Big Swap: Dropping Join Forces for Druid
The most significant build change was swapping from the Join Forces tree to Druid.
Why the swap:
Join Forces flat damage doesn't contribute much since most flat damage comes from Cicada Shell
The tree investment for Join Forces wasn't providing meaningful returns
Druid offers significantly better survivability and damage
Druid advantages:
Massive energy shield regain (great for survivability)
Access to Paralysis if you don't have Red Umbrella (15% damage multiplier)
Percent energy shield and defense nodes
Max energy shield additional multiplier
Improved regain interval
For the weapons:
Rerolled second weapon to have gear attack speed and attack crit local
Now have two weapons with both attack crit local and gear attack speed
Gear Priorities and Upgrades
Defensive Conversion
I changed everything from percent damage to percent ES. This was the same damage output but with significantly more survivability. Once I had enough ES, I swapped gear physical damage to flat strength (for Spectral Slash scaling).
Chest: Priceless Chest
Prioritize finding one with:
T0 energy shield
Gear energy shield
You can roll your own or buy one. Also consider:
Base with +3 max fortify
Fortify on belt
Additional damage per fortify
Boots
Bought a pair with +2 Fizz level. Ideally, you want additional max energy shield, but this is a solid placeholder. Also provides max energy shield while moving - note that this applies when the hit goes off, making it a damage increase.
Weapon Mods
Sequence: Super cheap right now (purple mods ~0.25 FE each). Additional damage on crit is extremely valuable since you're always crit capped.
Vendetta: The Third Hero Trait
You want to get Vendetta to 160% for the third hero trait. This is critical.
Best support links for Vendetta:
Additional attack speed (confirmed to work)
Increased attack speed from Recklessness (works)
Crit strike rating increase (works)
Increased area (works)
Slates: Clean Up and Optimize
I cleaned up my slates and added:
Additional regain interval slate
Regain slate
Setup:
Damage or loss recently
Increased defense from chest with crit roll and life
Additional mod line on defense (armor)
How to shop for slates:
Go to Legendary Slate
Use conditional search: contains >=1 of everything you want
Add defense and look for relatively cheap options
Important: Don't stack the same multiplier multiple times. Mix different multipliers for the most efficient damage scaling.
Current Limitations and Next Steps
The Build's Weakness
Between packs, movement feels slow. I'm still using God of War to carry a bit more damage. This is why I want Blade Dancer boots - they'll help with mobility between packs.
Planned Upgrades
Slot | Expected Gain | Cost |
Priceless Weapons | ~2x damage (multi-mods) | Expensive |
Priceless Rings | ~50% more damage per ring | Expensive |
Helmet (Sealed Comp) | ~20% more damage | Variable |
Borax recraft (1.4) | 15-20% damage | ~1,800 FE |
Belt (priceless or Light Honor) | Variable | Variable |
Alt Setup Consideration
I've seen an interesting alternative using:
Profit (Frostbite effect)
Lightning convert to cold (so at least 2/3 of Cicada's flat damage applies to the element you're scaling)
Mobility Alternative
Drop one link from Vendetta and run Thunder Spike support to turn it into a mobility skill. This is a viable alternative to Blade Dancer boots.
Farming Strategy
Current Setup: Lead Mechanic into Hunting into more maps (Alpha Ghost style)
Why it works:
Wicks sell for quite a lot
Build is tanky enough to run the 20% increased drops quantity modifier
Goal: Build enough DPS to Beacon farm, then blast from there.
Quick Reference: Build Priorities
Priority | Action |
1 | Get Combo Kismets + Peerless + Tiger's Chain + Acetic |
2 | Roll crit damage on memories, helm, chest, boots |
3 | Swap Join Forces → Druid tree |
4 | Reroll weapons to have both attack crit local + gear attack speed |
5 | Convert percent damage → percent ES |
6 | Swap gear physical damage → flat strength/dex |
7 | Get Vendetta to 160% |
8 | Clean up slates with diverse multipliers |
9 | Upgrade to Priceless gear (weapons, rings, chest) |
10 | Consider Blade Dancer boots for mapping speed |
Final Thoughts
This Erika 3 Vendetta build has scaled from 7 billion to nearly 200 billion DPS through a combination of:
Combo Destiny stacking (Peerless, Tiger's Chain, Acetic, Kismets)
Crit damage focus (memories + gear)
Tree optimization (Dropping Join Forces for Druid)
Defensive conversion (Percent damage → percent ES)
Weapon optimization (dual attack crit + attack speed)
Slate clean-up (diverse multipliers)
The result is a build that's tanky (75k ES), high damage (200b DPS), and capable of running increased drops quantity strats. While mapping speed between packs is still a work in progress, the overall package is incredibly strong for the investment. For players looking to gear up without the grind, you can find cheap Torchlight: Infinite Flame Elementium from trusted sellers—MMOEXP is a solid option to consider for fast and reliable transactions. With the right upgrades, this build will carry you through the toughest content the game has to offer.
