Unlock Mohgwyn Palace

First of all, if you don't have Mohgwyn Palace unlocked yet, there are two methods to get there.

Method 1: The White Mask Varre Questline

For the first method, head to the First Step Site of Grace. In front of you should be an NPC called White Mask Varre. If he's not here, you might need to progress the game a bit or, if you've killed him, skip to the second method.

1.Talk to White Mask Varre: After talking to him at the First Step, you need to kill Godrick the Grafted. Return to Varre afterward.

2.Message at the Rose Church: After defeating Godrick, a message will direct you to meet Varre at the Rose Church in Liurnia of the Lakes.

3.The Quest at Rose Church: Upon arriving at the Rose Church, Varre will have a quest for you. Ensure you've spoken to the Two Fingers at the Roundtable Hold first.

4.Receive Festering Bloody Fingers: Tell Varre that the Two Fingers didn’t seem right, and he will give you five Festering Bloody Fingers, which are used to invade other players.

5.Complete Three Invasions: Use the fingers to complete three invasions. You don't need to win, just invade.

6.Anointing Ritual: After completing the invasions, return to Varre. He will ask you to soak a cloth in maiden's blood.

7.Find the Dead Maiden: Go to the Four Belfries, use the portal to return to the tutorial area, and find a dead maiden to soak your cloth in.

8.Pureblood Knight's Medal: Return to Varre with the blood-soaked cloth. He will give you a Pureblood Knight’s Medal, which teleports you to Mohgwyn Palace.

Method 2: Alternative Route via Consecrated Snowfield

If you killed Varre early in the game, this method is for you.

1.Reach Consecrated Snowfield: Progress through the main story until you can access the Consecrated Snowfield.

2.Set a Waypoint: Fast travel to a grace point in the Snowfield and set a waypoint at the edge of the map.

3.Embark on the Journey: Travel on horseback toward the designated location.

4.Defeat Invaders: Encounter and defeat two invaders along the way. The first one is relatively easy, while the second is more challenging.

5.Receive Rewards: Defeating these invaders rewards you with a Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone.

6.Find the Portal: Continue along the path until you see a giant log. Near this log, you will find a portal marked with Bloodstains.

7.Enter Mohgwyn Palace: Use the portal to teleport to Mohgwyn Palace.

Mohgwyn Palace Rune Farming

After arriving at Mohgwyn Palace, we can finally start rune farming. There are two main Sites of Grace for farming, one suited for early-game players and the other for endgame players.

Dynasty Mausoleum Entrance

This method is excellent for early-game rune farming.

1.Starting Point: Begin at the Dynasty Mausoleum Entrance Site of Grace.

2.Follow the Path: Head down the path, across the lake of blood, and towards the giant rock wall behind the tree.

3.Climb the Rock Wall: This climb may take a few minutes the first time, but it gets easier with practice.

4.Equip Rune Boosters: Equip the Golden Scarab talisman and use a Gold-Pickled Fowl Foot for extra runes.

5.Perform the Cliff Jump: Double jump off the cliff and keep swinging your sword while falling. After about a minute, you will receive runes.

6.Rune Reward: You can earn over 200,000 runes, making this one of the best early-game farms, though it is time-consuming.

Palace Approach Ledge Road

This method is best suited for endgame players.

1.Required Items: You need the Sacred Relic Sword, obtainable after defeating the Elden Beast and using its Remembrance at the Roundtable Hold. A bow and arrow are optional but recommended.

2.Starting Point: Spawn at the Palace Approach Ledge Road Site of Grace.

3.Shoot the Monstrous Crow: Use your bow to shoot the Monstrous Crow on the other side of the area.

4.Use Sacred Relic Sword: Charge the sword's special ability and use it in a spot that hits almost all the enemies in the area.

5.Rune Reward: This method gives you over 37,000 runes in about 10 seconds. Doing this repeatedly can earn you over 200,000 runes in a minute.
