The 2.2.0 PTR for Diablo 4 has arrived, bringing Boss Powers to the game, the Apparition Incursion event, new items and aspects, and more!

Each Boss Power has a Main and Modifier effect that can be activated depending on the Power Slot you equip it to. You can have up to 1 Main and 3 Modifier Powers active at any time. The details of all Boss Powers are as follows:

Boss Powers Strategy

Main & Modifier Effects: Strategically equipping these will enable flexible builds. Prioritize Boss Powers that synergize with your primary skills or cooldown-dependent abilities.

Event Farming: The Apparition Incursion event is a prime opportunity to gather powerful Boss Powers early. Focus on clearing zones efficiently to trigger Apparition Bosses faster.

Lair Bosses Strategy

Initiate Bosses: These are ideal for early farming to collect Stygian Stones and gather materials.

Greater & Exalted Bosses: Since Lair Boss Keys are now required, farm efficiently by stacking keys during routine gameplay to maximize your farming sessions.

New Items & Aspects Strategy

Barbarian: Aspect of Delayed Extinction paired with Mighty Throw can drastically boost single-target burst damage. Ideal for boss encounters.

Druid: Gathlen's Birthright enhances Nature Magic; consider pairing it with Storm Strike for consistent burst potential.

Necromancer: Sanquivor, Blade of Zir is crucial for a minion-focused build, making Corpse consumption a powerful damage amplifier.

Rogue: Band of Ichorous Rose allows stacking Poison Traps, creating powerful area denial and ambush tactics.

Sorcerer: Hail of Verglas empowers Ice Shards builds; utilize stagger mechanics to maximize chill-induced damage.

Spiritborn: Sunbird's Gorget enables sustained firestorm damage—perfect for AoE-focused builds in high-density encounters.

Optimal Farming Route

Participate in the Apparition Incursion Event to collect Boss Powers efficiently.

Prioritize Initiate Lair Bosses for easy Stygian Stone drops, then shift to Greater/Exalted Lair Bosses for higher-tier rewards.

Utilize your Lair Boss Keys strategically by grouping with other players to collectively open multiple Hoard Chests.
