How to Complete the Water Troubles Quest in ARC Raiders

ARC Raiders May-20-2026 PST

Quests in ARC Raiders often send players deep into dangerous territory, but few early objectives are as confusing as the Water Troubles mission. Given by Celeste in Speranza, this task asks players to retrieve a water sample hidden somewhere within the massive Dam Battlegrounds map. While the objective sounds simple at first, the actual location is surprisingly easy to miss.

Many players spend multiple raids wandering through the area without success because the required item is tucked away inside a location that most people rarely visit. Between hostile ARC machines, enemy raiders, and the sheer size of the map, finding the sample can quickly become frustrating if you do not know exactly where to look. Having plenty of ARC Raiders Coins will be of great help to you.

Fortunately, once you know the route, the Water Troubles quest becomes much easier to complete. Here is everything you need to know about locating the Flood Access Tunnel, collecting the water sample, and safely extracting to finish the mission.

Starting the Water Troubles Quest

The Water Troubles quest is provided by Celeste, one of the vendors located in Speranza. She tasks you with gathering a contaminated water sample from the Dam Battlegrounds region so she can analyze it further.

Before entering the raid, it is important to prepare properly. Dam Battlegrounds is one of the larger and more dangerous maps in ARC Raiders, featuring open sightlines, elevation changes, and plenty of opportunities for ambushes from both players and ARC enemies.

Bringing a reliable mid-range weapon, healing supplies, and enough inventory space is recommended. Mobility tools such as ziplines can also make the journey significantly faster if you spawn far from the objective.

Where to Find the Flood Access Tunnel

The key to completing Water Troubles is locating the Flood Access Tunnel.

This hidden tunnel sits on the eastern side of the Dam Battlegrounds map, near the large red-colored lake. To reach it, players should travel east of the Control Tower and Research & Administration buildings.

If you are spawning from the western side of the map, expect a fairly long trek across the battlegrounds. As you move eastward, you will eventually overlook the Red Lakes area from a higher elevation point.

There are several ways to descend toward the lower section of the map:

Use the nearby staircases around the Control Tower area

Carefully move down the terrain slopes

Use a zipline for the fastest and safest descent

The zipline option is especially useful because it minimizes your exposure to enemy players and hostile ARC units.

Once you reach ground level near the red lake, begin searching the large concrete wall beneath the Control Tower. The Flood Access Tunnel entrance is built directly into this wall and can be difficult to notice from a distance.

The entrance itself has an industrial appearance and blends into the environment surprisingly well, which is one reason so many players overlook it during their raids.

How to Get the Water Sample

After locating the Flood Access Tunnel, the hard part is mostly over.

Enter the tunnel and proceed along the linear path inside. Thankfully, you do not need to explore very deep into the underground area to complete the objective.

As you continue forward, you will eventually encounter a small pool of dirty sewage water with several large pipes feeding into it. The water sample you need is connected to one of these pipes.

Look toward the left-hand side of the room and approach the pipe there. Once close enough, you will receive an interaction prompt allowing you to collect the water sample for Celeste.

After interacting with the pipe, the objective updates immediately, confirming that the sample has been secured.

Safely Extracting With the Sample

Collecting the water sample is only half the mission. Like most extraction shooter objectives, you still need to survive and successfully leave the raid.

This is where many players fail the quest.

Because the Flood Access Tunnel is located in a somewhat isolated section of the map, it can be tempting to sprint directly toward extraction without checking your surroundings. However, enemy players often patrol nearby high-traffic routes leading away from the Red Lakes region.

A few important survival tips include:

Avoid unnecessary fights after securing the sample

Stick to the cover while crossing open areas

Listen carefully for footsteps and gunfire

Save healing items for emergency situations

Use elevation and terrain to avoid detection

If you are carrying valuable loot in addition to the water sample, extracting safely becomes even more important.

Once you successfully leave the raid, return to Speranza and speak with Celeste again. Handing over the sample will complete the Water Troubles quest.

Water Troubles Quest Rewards

Completing Water Troubles rewards players with several valuable crafting materials that can help improve gear progression early in the game.

The rewards include:

3x Simple Gun Parts

3x Steel Springs

3x Mechanical Components

These resources are used at the workbench to craft and upgrade important equipment. While the rewards may not seem flashy, they are extremely useful for maintaining steady progression during the early and mid-game stages of ARC Raiders.

Crafting materials become increasingly valuable as better ARC Raiders BluePrints and armor require larger quantities of components.

Why This Quest Is Easy to Miss

One reason Water Troubles frustrates so many players is that the Flood Access Tunnel sits outside the usual high-loot and combat-heavy areas that most players naturally explore.

Many players focus heavily on the Control Tower, Research & Administration buildings, or central combat zones while completely overlooking the lower eastern section of the map.

Additionally, the tunnel entrance blends naturally into the concrete dam structure, making it surprisingly difficult to spot unless you already know what you are looking for.

The quest objective itself also provides limited guidance, leaving many players confused about where to begin searching.

Final Thoughts

Although the Water Troubles quest initially feels difficult, it becomes very straightforward once you know the exact location of the Flood Access Tunnel.

The biggest challenge is simply navigating across the massive Dam Battlegrounds map while avoiding enemy players and dangerous ARC threats. Thankfully, the water sample itself is located only a short distance inside the tunnel entrance, making the objective relatively quick once you arrive.

With the proper preparation and route planning, you should be able to complete Water Troubles in just a single successful raid and earn some useful crafting rewards in the process.
