Season 11 brings one of the largest shake-ups Diablo IV has seen, focusing on clearer progression, reduced randomness, and new end-game systems. The season introduces a major combat and progression redesign with a new passive seasonal mechanic called Divine Gifts, offering small but constant blessings from the High Heavens. These powers work automatically (no setup, triggers, or special gear) and benefit all builds in both combat and exploration.
New Classes
Two new classes confirmed! Paladin will be available with Lord of Hatred pre-purchase. The other one will be launched at Apr.28 2025.
Tempering and Masterworking Reworks
A completely new progression layer arrives with Sanctification, the final upgrade step for gear. Sanctified items gain powerful bonuses such as extra Aspects, Greater Affixes, or even full indestructibility — but once sanctified, they can no longer be modified. Alongside this, both Tempering and Masterworking have been reworked to be less RNG-dependent and more controllable. Defenses have been redesigned under a new stat called Toughness, and Renown has been replaced by a new progression path called Season Rank, tied to the updated Season Journey.
The Lesser Evils Invade
Season 11 also expands gameplay with new activities and enemies. The Tower introduces a structured competitive challenge featuring leaderboards for solo and group play. Meanwhile, Sanctuary’s bosses have been redistributed across activities: Duriel replaces Blood Maiden in Helltides, Belial enters the Pit, Andariel moves into Kurast Undercity, and Azmodan joins as a World Boss.
Capstone Dungeons Back
Finally, progression is now gated through the return of fixed-difficulty Capstone Dungeons, ensuring builds are tested before advancing into higher tiers. The five Capstones are:
● Vault of the Crucible — Suggested level: 30 | Difficulty Tier: Hard
● Hellish Descent — Suggested level: 50 | Difficulty Tier: Penitent
● Enclave of Darkness — Level 60 (Pit Tier 15) | Torment I
● Den of the Apostate — Level 60 (Pit Tier 30) | Torment II
● Breach of Sin — Level 60 (Pit Tier 45) | Torment III
These changes together reshape Season 11 into a more structured, rewarding, and skill-driven experience — making it an ideal season for new players and returning veterans.
