Summary

Bottom line up front: In V1, Aeon Aha (Nihilux) is a heavily offense-oriented sub-DPS, not a support, so if you're planning to pull her and want to buy Honkai: Star Rail Top Up to secure her early, keep in mind that her impact on the current Elation meta varies wildly by unit: Evanescia is the biggest winner, Silver Wolf LV.999 gains almost nothing until high investment, Yao Guang and EMC are at risk of being replaced, and Sparxie unexpectedly gets room to breathe.

Honkai: Star Rail 4.7 Elation Teams V1: Aha Analysis, Best Teams & Unit Changes

1. The Current Elation Meta (Pre-V1)

Before analyzing the new unit, we need to establish the existing damage and support hierarchy.

Peak damage output (assuming a forward eight-cost team): Waven ≈ Silver Wolf LV.999 ≈ Evanescia — all three are close. However, Silver Wolf comes with an asterisk: she only sits at the top if you can consistently extend buffs and play near-perfectly. Otherwise, she drops to third.

Damage floor: Evanescia > Waven > Silver Wolf. Evanescia is nearly impossible to mess up. Waven requires proper Fervor management. Silver Wolf has by far the lowest floor due to her many moving parts.

Support ranking: Yao Guang > EMC ≈ Sparxie. Yao Guang is currently the premier Elation support, offering Elation amplification, DEF shred, and Punchline generation.

2. Aeon Aha (Nihilux): Role and Kit

2.1 Role: Pure Offensive Sub-DPS

Aha is functionally a sub-DPS, not a support. Her trace spread is entirely offensive: Trace 1 makes her Skill's follow-up attack deal more damage and become SP-neutral; Trace 3 grants a massive amount of Elation. She has an offensive Elation Skill, Ultimate, and normal Skill.

This means she can replace either the second or third slot on a team, and she has synergy with Waven.

2.2 Core Loop: Wish Power → Ultimate → Team-wide "Sirene OS"

Aha plays similarly to Sirene — she wants to rush 8 stacks of Wish Power to fire her Ultimate. Wish Power is gained from: her Technique, after she acts, after her Elation Skills, upon reaching 40 Punchline, when she is healed or shielded, and when her marked ally moves.

Her Skill marks an ally as an "Emanator of Elation." That ally gains 20 Elation, and every time they act, Aha gains 1 Wish Power. Because the Elation gain is only 20, you can put this on your fastest ally (like Yao Guang) or your DPS. In practice, most players will put it on their DPS.

At E0S0, the Ultimate generally comes online in about two rotations. A one-rotation Ultimate may exist but remains to be seen.

After Aha ults, every Elation team member gains the equivalent of their own Sirene OS. Crucially, this effect is baked into each Elation character's own kit, not into Aha's — meaning future Elation units will come with their own Aha trigger built in.

2.3 Support Capability: Barely There

Aha's buffing is minimal:

Skill + Talent: 20% Elation to one ally, 24% Crit DMG to all allies

Punchline refund: returns 10% of the Punchline your team consumes

New gimmick Elation Death: 25% of Elation damage dealt permanently reduces enemies' max HP by 10%

Compared to EMC, her support output is "impressively low."

3. How Each Elation Unit Is Affected

3.1 Evanescia: The Biggest Winner (Thanos-tier)

Evanescia gains the most from Aha by far:

Overflow energy: Evanescia often gains too much energy and is forced to Ult before the next Aha Instant, missing up to 65% vulnerability — effectively a 40% damage loss for that Ult. Aha's Ode eliminates this problem entirely.

Extra DEF shred: At low investment, where Magical Girl is your only DEF shred source, Aha's 10% shred is about an 8% damage increase. If you upgrade to E2S1 Aha, that shred becomes a 38% damage increase.

Per 500 Banger: Her next Ultimate gains 50% more final damage (doubled at E2 Aha). This is essentially the Saber Gil interaction — every few Ults, one hits like a truck.

Participant ID advantage: Aha's Participant ID is higher than Evanescia's. This means Evanescia cannot steal Aha's Banger immediately after the Aha Instant, letting Aha keep it for her own attacks. At a rough estimate of 100 Banger stacks, Evanescia deals about 33% more damage than any other option in this slot. The only trade-off is losing Aha's standalone 20% Banger gain.

Verdict: EMC is cleanly kicked out for Aha. There is literally zero downside.

3.2 Silver Wolf LV.999: High-Investment Only, Near-Zero Gain at E0

Silver Wolf's Ode looks cool on paper but delivers poorly in practice:

+40% Crit DMG: Base value, nice but minor

MMR overflow: Without Pearl, you never approach the 300 cap — zero benefit. With Pearl, you can hit ~360 MMR at E0, but that likely means using your second Pearl before Silver Wolf leaves her form, resulting in terrible downtime

MMR per 10 Banger gained: Appears to benefit only Silver Wolf herself (subject to correction)

The core issue: you need E2 Silver Wolf + E2 Pearl for the Ode to mean anything. E0 players feel essentially nothing. Aha also has poor mechanical synergy with Silver Wolf — Aha doesn't provide the resources Silver Wolf wants.

V1 verdict: Silver Wolf gets the short end of the stick. Low investment = forgotten. High investment = merely functional.

3.3 Yao Guang: High Risk of Being Replaced

Yao Guang's Ode gains are minimal:

~3–8 extra energy refund per Elation Skill

A minuscule amount of extra MV on her Talent

The energy refund only matters for sustainless Yao Guang or certain S1 users who might hit a three-turn Ult rotation if hit. Otherwise, Aha provides almost nothing for Yao Guang.

In Aha team discussions, Yao Guang is one of the first supports to be cut.

3.4 EMC: Completely Replaced

EMC's Ode only enables a "main DPS Nihilux + sub-DPS Elation MC" comp. For the vast majority of teams, this is useless.

Aha has functionally replaced EMC entirely — everything EMC wanted to do, Aha does better, albeit differently.

3.5 Sparxie: The Brick Finally Gets a Glow-Up

Sparxie is the only support/sub-DPS to receive a meaningful buff in V1.

Ode effects:

+30 Crit to herself

15% DEF shred to all allies

Compared to Yao Guang: Yao gives 20 Elation + 20 DEF shred + 16 Banger. Sparxie gives 15% DEF shred + 80 Crit. If Crit is oversaturated, Yao is slightly better on the amp side.

But Sparxie's Punchline generation far exceeds Yao's:

Yao (four-turn Ult rotation, E0S0): roughly 37 Punchline over 4 turns

Sparxie (extremely conservative estimate: 7 Straight Fires per turn): roughly 84 Punchline over 4 turns; realistically 100–120

Higher Punchline means higher team-wide Banger gain and higher personal damage.

Conclusion: In V1, Sparxie may be interchangeable with Yao Guang, and at E2 Aha, Sparxie pulls further ahead. She also remains the best unit for triggering Silver Wolf's boxes.

3.6 Waven: A "Potential Man" Waiting for Future Teammates

Waven gains from Aha:

Both Trace 2 effects activate when Aha is his only other Elation ally

More Fervor and Punchline per ally attack

Best configuration: Aha + Waven + Ashveil + flex/sustain.

Problem: The current best sustain option, Hyasin, has no place or synergy in this team. Sustainless (e.g., slotting in Tribbie) sounds strong on paper but isn't something most players will attempt. Waven's Ode may only reach full potential with a future follow-up sustain or OG Aventurine's Nova Flare.

4. Pearl's Role: A Resource Amplifier

Pearl's Ultimate now retains a portion of temporary Punchline and Banger, but the amounts are tiny: roughly 6 Banger + 3 Punchline per 2 full rotations at E0.

This is a "rich get richer" mechanic — it only becomes meaningful at E2 Pearl + Aha. At E0, it's negligible.

5. Summary and Recommendations

Unit

V1 Verdict

Core Issue

Evanescia

Thanos-tier, zero flaws

None

Sparxie

Unexpected glow-up, finally viable

Whether she beats Yao remains to be seen

Pearl

Okay at E0, good only at high investment

Resource amplification gated too high

Silver Wolf

Trash before E2, merely okay after

Needs E2 SW + E2 Pearl

Waven

"Potential man," waiting on future allies

No synergistic sustain exists

Yao Guang

High replacement risk

Ode gains are negligible

EMC

Completely replaced by Aha

Ode is nearly useless

Overall V1 assessment: Aha is a "Giga E2S1 merchant" — her value is heavily investment-gated. E0 players get limited benefit, while E2 is where she truly transforms, especially alongside Pearl and Evanescia. V3 may bring changes, particularly to Silver Wolf's Ode, which currently leaves her as "an absolute chud," making Honkai: Star Rail Top Up for sale a tempting but risky shortcut for players frustrated with her performance.
