summary
Aion 2’s November 4 update introduces the Lutra Sanctuary Raid, requiring an item level of 2,800 for Normal mode and 3,000 for Hard mode. Players can prepare through Audel Energy rewards, dungeon progression, and limited-time events, while those looking to strengthen their characters can also explore options to buy Aion 2 Kina for additional in-game resources. The update also includes Sorcerer bug fixes, potential future class balance changes, reduced dungeon drop rates reported in game data, and 12,586 newly restricted accounts.
Lutra Raid Arrives November 4
The Lutra Sanctuary Raid will introduce two difficulty levels when it arrives on November 4. Normal mode requires an item level of 2,800, while Hard mode requires 3,000. Both difficulties will be available immediately, giving qualified players the opportunity to challenge the encounter without waiting for a later unlock.
Lutra previously disappeared from the global launch schedule after early-access players defeated the boss earlier in progression than NCSoft intended. Its return will include new mechanics designed to provide a fresh challenge.
The Lutra Hunt event also offers additional incentives. The first 20 parties in each region to clear Hard mode can earn exclusive ranked titles, with separate competitions for NA East, NA West, Europe, South America, and Asia. Other players who complete Lutra during the event can still obtain a title, making the encounter worthwhile even without competing for the top rankings.
Preparation Events and Progression Rewards
Players will have several opportunities to improve their characters before the raid arrives. The preparation event begins after the October 28 maintenance, providing two Audel Energy per character each day through in-game mail. The energy can be used for Expeditions and Transcendents to help players increase their item levels.
Additional rewards include:
· A seven-step Lutra check-in event.
· 1.5 million bound Kinah.
· 30,000 Abyss Points.
· Soul Crystals and other progression currencies.
· Twitch Drops offering additional Audel Energy.
· Daeva Bootcamp rewards tied to global dungeon-clear milestones.
Because rewards are available per character, players can also benefit from preparing alternate characters. However, mailed Audel Energy expires after seven days, so players should claim and use it before expiration.
Dungeon Changes and the Path to 2,800 Item Level
The latest dungeon adjustments provide another route toward the Lutra requirements. Hard-mode Conquest dungeons, including Crow Cavern and Draugnir, require an item level of 2,600. These encounters feature a four-minute boss enrage timer and a maximum of three revives per player, making coordination and damage efficiency important.
The dungeons can also drop three unique crafting materials: Rightful Mind, Rightful Will, and Rightful Ego. Philosopher's Stones of Revelation may also appear and can be selected as guaranteed rewards under the relevant system.
A new Aerial Board progression system further connects dungeon farming to the Lutra preparation process. Collecting 100 dungeon-specific Aerial Fragments allows players to obtain one Aerial Crystal, although conversion opportunities remain limited by dungeon.
There is also an unannounced adjustment worth monitoring. Comparisons of game data indicate that Rightful Mind drop rates in normal Conquest dungeons were reduced in the October 21 build. For example, the reported final-boss rate in Crow Cavern fell from 5.4% to 3.6%. These figures come from client-data comparisons rather than official patch notes, so players should treat them accordingly.
