Extraction players are also getting plenty of new content through a major Layali Grove overhaul.
The familiar map is being expanded with three new zones, while its waterways are being completely redesigned to create additional routes and exploration opportunities. New water vehicles will allow squads to move around the region in different ways.
The update also adds new characters, quests, and activities, giving veteran players more reasons to return to Layali Grove.
Rather than simply replacing the existing map, Season Reorientation appears designed to expand what players can do within it. That could make exploration and route planning even more important during Extraction runs.
Fishing Brings a More Relaxed Side to Delta Force
Perhaps the most unexpected feature in the new season is Fishing.
Instead of constantly worrying about enemy squads and extraction timers, players will be able to head out onto the water and fish either alone or alongside friends.
Fishing isn't being treated as a completely passive activity, either. Players can customize their fishing rods in a system that takes inspiration from weapon customization. This gives the new activity its own layer of preparation and optimization.
For a game built around high-pressure firefights, Fishing provides a completely different pace. Players can use it as a social activity, a break between matches, or simply another way to explore the expanded Layali Grove environment.
Rover and Clover Join the Operator Roster
Season Reorientation will also introduce a new Support Operator duo known as Rover and Clover.
Rather than being a traditional single-character Operator, the pair consists of a human operator and a canine companion. Their abilities are designed around creating opportunities for squads to survive difficult encounters and recover from dangerous situations.
Clover can help detect and track threats, giving the team additional information during combat. Meanwhile, aerosol injectors can remove certain debuffs and anomalies from allies while weakening opponents.
Rover and Clover can also deploy irritant smoke to disrupt enemy vision. This can create valuable time for revives, repositioning, or launching a counterattack.
The unusual Operator design gives players another support-focused playstyle and could make the duo particularly useful for coordinated Extraction squads.
Polaris Patrol Returns With a New Challenge
Players looking for something more intense can also return to the Polaris Patrol play-as-a-boss mode.
The updated experience puts players in control of Security Director Desmoulins and builds on the previous version with a more balanced encounter.
The goal is to create a more rewarding boss experience while still forcing players to adapt to changing threats. Teamwork and strategy will remain essential for squads attempting to survive the encounter.
Delta Force Second Anniversary Rewards
Season Reorientation will serve as the opening chapter of Delta Force's second-anniversary celebration.
As part of the anniversary activities, players will have opportunities to earn up to 3,900 time-limited Delta Tickets. The anniversary campaign is scheduled to begin on September 26, adding another reason for players to return during the new season.
With the new maps, Operator, activities, and anniversary rewards arriving together, Season Reorientation represents a significant content drop for both new and veteran players.
New Battle Pass Includes Netrunner Hackclaw Skin
The new season will also introduce a fresh Battle Pass packed with exclusive rewards.
One of the standout items is a colorful Netrunner skin for Hackclaw, giving the Operator a very different visual style from the game's more traditional tactical designs.
The Battle Pass will be available from the launch of Season Reorientation through November, giving players several weeks to work through its reward track.
