Summary
The latest hotfix has made builds significantly stronger. Five of eight classes have now beaten Pit 150, with only one relying on a major bug. The big change? The "crafted" restriction was removed from Mythics. You can now equip as many naturally-dropped Mythics as you want and upgrade any Unique to Mythic quality. Top leaderboard players now run four to five Mythic items simultaneously, making Diablo IV Items more powerful and versatile than ever before. The Reaper in Zarbanzette also drops more Mythics than ever—I got one after only three kills.
How the New Mythic System Works
Before Season 14, Mythic meant a specific item list. Now, any Unique can become Mythic. Affixes are random but always max-rolled, Unique effects are thirty percent stronger, and items always come as Ancestral.
Two ways to get Mythics:
Natural drops from bosses (no equip limit—wear as many as you find)
Upgrading Uniques through the Horadric Cube (you can only equip one crafted Mythic per character)
Builds that use many Uniques benefit enormously. The more Unique items your build naturally wants, the more you gain.
Warlock – Apocalypse Returns
The Apocalypse build is back. This old build was nerfed when overpower stacking stopped working, but Mythic items now substitute for that missing damage.
The build runs only Hellfire skills. Mawl of Speeding Flame gives thirty-nine percent increased Hellfire damage per skill empowered by Volatility. With Sigil of Lava, every skill stays empowered. With five skills on your bar, that's a massive boost. Scepter of the Three lets you equip all base ultimate skills and gain fifteen ranks, building ultimate damage to two hundred sixty percent. Hands of the World Breaker at Mythic goes from four hundred to five hundred twenty percent bonus damage. With Air of Pedition no longer overpowered, you can use God Crown to pull everything together. Hellfire nuking is back.
Druid – 14 Minutes
Druid cleared Pit 150 in fourteen minutes. The Shred Lightning build remains a monster. Shred into lightning triggers five hundred percent bonus damage and triple cast. Previously, you could snapshot Storm Shepherd for the entire Lightning Storm duration. Now, every lightning bolt has a chance to trigger it. If you never knew snapshotting existed, you became stronger. If you were good at it, you became slightly weaker—but gameplay is now more consistent.
Earthbreaker's Birthright doesn't get meaningfully stronger as Mythic—just more damage reduction. You could swap it for Harlequin Crest for more skill ranks, but you'd lose the pull-together bonus and damage reduction. Tyr's Might is worth considering—it shoots bonus damage beams.
Paladin – Pit 134
Paladin lags behind at one-thirty-four in fifteen minutes. The Clash build was heavily nerfed—it can no longer stack Resolve effectively.
An interesting variant uses Clash only as a damage buff while playing Shield of Retribution. Blessed Shield deals ninety-nine percent increased damage, and casting another skill doubles this bonus for your next three casts while costing less Faith. You pull enemies together and throw shields. You still need to spam Clash periodically to keep the damage bonus active, but at least you're using a different skill.
Necromancer – Pit 139
Necromancer sits at one-thirty-nine. Blood Wave remains the core build—run in, pull enemies together, drop prison, and nuke. The top player doesn't even use Casemi's Legacy at Mythic, suggesting Greater Affix ranks to Blood skills may be more valuable.
A minion build reached one-thirty-one and heavily profits from Mythics. Azeroth, Signate of Pelgane, Blood Moon Breaches, and the Underground (still bugged, giving five to six skeletons instead of four) all provide damage. Litless Wall gives critical strike damage per Bone Storm. The build freezes enemies, minions soak damage, and frozen enemies take permanent scaling damage exploding for trillions. Since crafted restrictions are gone, Tyr's Might is worth trying because every minion triggers it.
Sorcerer – Pit 150 Clear
Sorcerer surprisingly cleared Pit 150. The build is high-APM Firewall spam. Unstable Currents stays active, and set bonuses rain down elemental skills.
Mythic synergies are massive: Vision of the Firestorm (130% damage), Drogn's Anguish (325% burning damage), Ores (32.5% damage per defensive skill not on bar), and Raymond of the Infinite (65% damage reduction).
I preferred Lightning over Firewall. Lightning killed enemies on contact, enabling speed farming. Firewall requires placing walls and waiting. Both play similarly—teleport in, spam skills—but Lightning felt smoother.
Spiritborn – 8 Minutes 23 Seconds
Spiritborn cleared in eight minutes twenty-three seconds. Rushing Claw now requires enemies to activate—you can't dash freely through the world anymore. Mobility is nerfed, but infinite Rushing Claws still works.
The biggest damage boost comes from Harmony of Abuabaka and Ring of the Wthing Moon. However, everyone abuses the Zig Rune, which gives six hundred percent bonus damage to every skill instead of just Concussive Stomp. If Blizzard deactivates it, Spiritborn loses that massive damage entirely.
Barbarian – 13 Minutes 39 Seconds
Barbarian cleared in thirteen minutes thirty-nine seconds. Charge Barb uses Steel Grasp to pull enemies together while charging through them, leaving a burning trail dealing billions. Shattered Vow is required—it executes enemies when damage-over-time exceeds remaining life.
The build runs five other Uniques that become stronger at Mythic. Fist of Fate going from three hundred to three hundred ninety percent is the biggest damage increase. Whirlwind Barb appears in the top fifty, and Leap Barb in the top one hundred.
Rogue – 3 Minutes 40 Seconds
Rogue has the fastest clear at three minutes forty seconds—but there's a bug active. Enemies implode with no clear damage source. The bug seems easily replicable, with tons of Rogue clears at 150. Top Rogues run eight Mythic items and have forty thousand Forgotten Souls.
If you want to play Rogue, research the bug—otherwise you won't see the same results. Try the Rain of Arrows build, which is legitimate and still clears amazingly.
Final Recommendations
For legitimate players avoiding bugs: Barbarian is strongest—fun, bug-free, and uses many Mythics. Druid offers consistent gameplay. Sorcerer has high potential but requires high APM. Warlock provides interesting gameplay with Apocalypse. Necromancer's minion build is viable.
Bug-dependent: Spiritborn relies on Zig Rune abuse. Rogue has a replication bug.
Identify which Uniques your build needs and prioritize upgrading them to Mythic. Balance offense and defense—Mythic items often trade defense for damage. You can only equip one crafted Mythic, but natural drops are unlimited. Farming the Reaper is the most efficient way to gear up, though if you're short on time, you can always buy Diablo IV Items from trusted platforms to skip the grind. For reliable service, I recommend checking out MMOEXP—they offer competitive prices and fast delivery, making it easy to fill gaps in your build without endless farming.
