Spent hours perfecting your FC 27 Clubs build? EA is about to make you allocate those Attribute Points all over again. All 13 Archetypes are affected, with some pace and dribbling upgrades becoming more expensive. Your levels and total AP are safe, but recreating your favorite build may not be as simple as copying the old numbers.

EA announced the reset on October 19, with deployment due by October 22 at 2 a.m. Pacific Time (9 a.m. UTC). If you regularly switch between Archetypes, each allocation you rely on needs checking again. Save screenshots of your current builds before the update reaches you.

For players already frustrated with The Grounds, that is more setup time before getting back to Clubs. EA acknowledged Kickabout matchmaking and slow or unresponsive menus on October 2. This announcement addresses AP costs and a Specialization requirement; it does not announce fixes for those wider complaints.

EA SPORTS FC 27 Is Resetting All 13 Archetype Builds: AP Changes and What You Keep

Which Builds Need a Rethink

The FC 27 Archetype reset returns your allocated points so you can redistribute them under the revised costs. It preserves each Archetype's level and total AP. After deployment, check every Archetype you actively use and rebuild its allocation before returning to matches.

Three changes deserve a check before you try to restore your old ratings:

l Finisher: Acceleration, Sprint Speed and Dribbling all cost more, alongside Agility, Vision and Ball Control. Finishing costs less, but restoring a fast, technical striker could force different tradeoffs within the same AP budget.

l Boss: Strength, Heading Accuracy and Sliding Tackle cost more, with no attributes listed for a reduction. Check what restoring your defensive priorities leaves for the rest of the build.

l Target: Strength, Jumping and Heading Accuracy cost less, while Finishing is among the increases. For a hold-up striker, compare the AP needed for your aerial attributes with what you still need for finishing.

The announcement gives cost directions without publishing the exact revised price at each upgrade level. You can identify which parts of a build need reviewing, but cannot calculate its final budget from this list alone.

What the Reset Keeps

Your Pro keeps the progression you earned in FC 27. The work to redo is the attribute allocation, including any adjustments needed to fit the new prices.

This reset only affects Archetype Attribute Points, not your Ultimate Team currency. FC 27 Coins cannot be used to restore an old build or cover the increased AP costs.

The deadline is a deployment target, so the announcement does not establish that every player will see the reset at exactly that hour. Check your allocation when you next enter the mode after the update reaches you.

These FC 27 changes concern AP prices. An increase in upgrade cost does not itself mean EA is directly reducing that attribute's existing rating or changing its on-pitch behavior.

Marauder players should check their pace-and-dribbling allocation: Acceleration and Dribbling become more expensive, while Stamina and Crossing cost less.

Sweeper Keeper has five increases, including GK Kicking and GK Reflexes, with GK Positioning its only listed decrease. These are reasons to recalculate existing builds before assuming they still fit.

Creator and Maestro need different checks. Creator's Dribbling becomes less expensive while Ball Control and Reactions become more expensive.

Maestro gains lower costs for Ball Control and Long Passing but faces higher Short Passing and Defensive Awareness costs. Decide which passing role you actually play before recreating an old midfield allocation.

Specializations Lose a Requirement

EA is removing Attacking Positioning as an Archetype Specialization requirement in FC 27. For an affected build, that removes the need to allocate AP to that attribute solely to satisfy the Specialization condition.

The change also requires no additional currency. Unlike squad upgrades involving FC 27 Coins in Ultimate Team, adjusting a Clubs Specialization depends on meeting its updated attribute requirements.

Once the update arrives, inspect the requirements of your chosen Specialization before rebuilding. Keep any other requirements in your budget, then decide where the remaining AP helps your role.

Removing one condition does not mean every Specialization unlocks automatically, and the benefit depends on whether your previous allocation needed that investment.

Compensation for Existing Pros

EA says players who previously created a Pro will receive 5,000 Club Coins and one 1.75x AXP multiplier lasting six matches. The stated eligibility is tied to having created a Pro; the announcement does not promise a separate grant for each Archetype you developed.

The compensation is identified as Club Coins, not FC 27 Coins used in Ultimate Team. These currencies serve different modes, so the reward cannot be treated as a Transfer Market budget. Likewise, the AXP reward is a limited multiplier, so plan around six matches rather than an unlimited progression boost.

FC 27 developer post does not specify the exact grant time, a claim procedure, an eligibility cutoff or the multiplier's activation behavior. Check the reward's in-game description when it appears before scheduling matches around it.

Prepare Your Builds before Deployment

Before the FC 27 reset, take screenshots of the full attribute allocation for every Archetype you regularly use. Also record your selected Specialization and the requirements shown for it. Those details give you a reference when the points return.

Mark the attributes in your current setup whose costs are increasing. Then choose what you most want to preserve: for example, your striker's pace or your midfielder's preferred passing setup. Wait for the live prices before deciding which secondary upgrades to trim.

After deployment, compare your level and total AP with your records, check the updated Specialization conditions, and allocate points to your main role first.

Review the completed allocation before playing, then repeat for your other regularly used Archetypes. If the level or total AP appears wrong, keep screenshots for an EA support report.

Older build recommendations can still suggest a playing style, but their point totals need checking against the new costs. A screenshot helps you reconstruct your intentions; it cannot guarantee that the same ratings will fit the revised budget.
