The FC 27 Max 87 Hero SBC is worth considering when spare untradeable fodder covers most of its 115,000 Item Score requirement and several Heroes would improve your squad.
If completing it would consume the coins reserved for a specific starter, keep those resources. The reward is one random, untradeable Base Hero rated 87 or lower, so an 85-rated result is entirely possible.
Before submitting anything, total your spare inventory, price the remaining score on your platform and compare that expense with a player you can select directly. Decide whether an ordinary Hero would still help your team.

Check before Submitting
Open Ultimate Team, select SBCs, then choose the Max. 87 Base Hero Upgrade. Review eligible items and their displayed contributions. This Simplified SBC accepts cumulative submissions, including eligible duplicates, without arranging an eleven-player formation.
Progress saves between sessions, but submitted players are permanently removed. You receive the main reward only after completing the requirement.
Plan the entire remaining cost before the first submission. If you stop short, those players cannot return to your squad. Review any excess-score warning before confirming.
Should You Complete This SBC?
Use your remaining coin expense and the number of acceptable rewards to choose a route. These are editorial budget guidelines for this FC 27 SBC, not expected-return estimates.
Your Situation | Recommendation | Action before Submitting |
Plenty of spare untradeables; small top-up | Consider completing | Protect reserved cards and confirm several rewards would help |
An extra 40K to 60K required | Depends on squad gaps | Compare a selected starter at that budget; proceed only if several Heroes fit and the expense is disposable |
Starting from zero at roughly 120K or more | Lean toward skipping | Use the latest full-cost quote; preserve funds for a selected upgrade |
Only one Hero improves the team | Skip the gamble | Save toward that player or another known upgrade |
Skip if completing requires selling a starter or sacrificing fodder reserved for a preferred SBC. After an unwanted pull, reassess before another attempt; the earlier expense does not improve the next pack.
Lowest-Cost Completion Routes
Compare Routes on Your Platform
FUT.GG listed a complete-route estimate of 131,900 FUT 27 coins on October 21. The lower totals below are theoretical calculations using a separate platform reference table, not confirmed completion prices. Each assumes sufficient cards at the stated average.Rating | Item Score | Console Coins per Card | PC Coins per Card |
82 | 340 | 650 | 700 |
84 | 830 | 800 | 700 |
86 | 4,100 | 5,000 | 4,900 |
87 | 5,500 | 7,000 | 6,500 |
Route Type | Complete Combination | Cards | Item Score | Console Model | PC Model |
Theoretical lowest-cost route | 139 × 84 | 139 | 115,370 | 111,200 | 97,300 |
Practical alternative: fewer cards | 28 × 86 + 1 × 82 | 29 | 115,140 | 140,650 | 137,900 |
Practical alternative: fewer cards | 12 × 87 + 12 × 86 | 24 | 115,200 | 144,000 | 136,800 |
The 111,200 console figure is an ideal-price total, not a reliable spending allowance. Fewer-card alternatives reduce collection work, without guaranteeing lower prices or sufficient stock. On PC, the 24-card model costs less than the 29-card model.
The 29-card calculation is 28 × 4,100 + 340 = 115,140 score. Its console model costs 28 × 5,000 + 650 = 140,650 coins. A 126,650 total requires the 86s to average 4,500 with the 82 at 650.
Account for Bulk Collection
Spending FC 27 Coins on the 139-card route requires many more market transactions. A low listing for one 84 does not establish the average cost of 139 copies. Track the running average and reprice the remaining cards. If 84 prices keep rising and the remaining 29- or 24-card mix becomes less expensive, switch combinations. Cards already obtained can still contribute; calculate the remaining score before changing route.
From zero, the console model favours 139 × 84 below an average of about 1,012 coins; the PC threshold is about 984. Those thresholds change with alternative prices. For partly filled inventory, compare only the remaining expense.
Calculate Your Inventory Shortfall
Start with unused untradeables in SBC Storage and your Club. Exclude starters, useful substitutes and cards reserved for another challenge. Add the remaining displayed contributions, then subtract that total from 115,000.
If spare inventory supplies 75,000 score, the gap is 40,000. Your coins only need to cover that gap. Using the same platform reference prices above gives these top-up calculations:
Top-Up | Added Score | Console Reference Total | PC Reference Total |
49 × 84 | 40,670 | 39,200 | 34,300 |
9 × 86 + 4 × 84 | 40,220 | 48,200 | 46,900 |
At these prices, 49 × 84 is the lower-cost top-up on both platforms. Count existing duplicates first, then reprice the required quantity; your actual inventory can change the best mix. Untradeable fodder still has an opportunity cost: using it here removes it from your next player SBC.
