AION 2 Level 36 Unique gear can reach +15 before an eligible Level 86 transfer, with a modeled 7.31M Kinah enhancement-cost gap. Donor gear, Transfer Stones, and binding reduce net savings. Confirm your target accepts the donor first.
Item Level 36 refers to the equipment's item level, not your character level. Is Level 36 Transfer Still Worth It?
For a compatible, unenhanced target, usually yes if donor and transfer-material costs remain below the enhancement savings. Check the target in Enhancement > Transfer before developing a donor: client transfer data restricts lower-tier sources to a receiving item's first transfer. If the pair is rejected, stop and select another eligible target.
Your Current Gear | What to Do First |
Fresh, unenhanced IL86 Unique | Try the Level 36 route after checking compatibility |
IL86 already at +10 | Compare remaining enhancement cost with the full donor route |
Excellent existing Soul Binding | Assess the lines you would replace or lose |
Target already received a lower-tier transfer | Check whether another eligible source is accepted |
Level 36 vs Level 86 Costs
The following community model includes expected failures after +10. These are planning estimates, not guaranteed bills or official fixed totals.
Cost From +0 to +15 | Item Level 36 Unique | Item Level 86 Unique |
Expected Kinah | 5,314,842 | 12,628,953 |
Expected Enhance Stones | 67,328 | 160,752 |
That leaves an estimated 7,314,111 Kinah and 93,424 Enhance Stones before donor acquisition, binding, and transfer materials. Attempts through +10 succeed in this model; later attempts can fail and increase spending.
Savings at Higher Market Prices
Assume one donor and two spare Unique pieces for two Transfer Stones. All three cost the same amount, the first donor has acceptable lines, and the target is already owned.
Price per Unique Piece | Expected Route Cost | Expected Kinah Saved |
300,000 | 6.21M | 6.41M |
800,000 | 7.71M | 4.91M |
1,200,000 | 8.91M | 3.71M |
1,400,000 | 9.51M | 3.11M |
These are price scenarios, not live server quotations. Totals exclude binding, resets, and any additional recipe costs. Your AION 2 Kina budget must cover those separately.
Use this rule: expected savings = 7,314,111 minus the donor, transfer materials, and extra preparation costs. With three equally priced pieces and no extras, the break-even price is about 2.44M each. A one-stone target needs only two pieces, raising that simplified threshold to about 3.66M.
Keep failed stat candidates if they remain eligible transfer-stone materials. Reusing them avoids counting both discarded donors and separate stone ingredients. Stop rerolling when the remaining savings no longer justify another attempt.
Preparing Level 36 Unique Gear
Sources and Marketplace Access
Look for Wisdom, Fantasy, and Tranquility equipment. The available sources include Wanted Quests, Defend Shugo Merchants, Goldrin's Treasure, and quest rewards. Inspect each reward's actual item level, rarity, and slot; a set name is insufficient.
Check your Marketplace access before planning around listings. Quai Membership requirements can exclude accounts without that access. Quest and event rewards provide an alternative, although obtaining a suitable piece takes time and may offer fewer choices.
Compare the exact donor price with the lowest-cost eligible materials for Transfer Stones. They need not share one price.
Match the Target First
Choose the receiving item before gathering materials. Match weapon type or armor slot, Unique grade, and transfer-group eligibility. Check its transfer history and Soul Binding capacity. An Item Level 86 label does not tell you whether the destination requires one or two stones.
Record donor and material costs separately when planning your AION 2 Kinah spending, especially when weapons cost more than spare armor.
Treat bracelets separately. Belts and amulets also fall outside the ordinary Level 36 donor route.
Level 36 Transfer Step by Step
1. Select a Compatible Donor
Use the AION 2 gear transfer window to check the intended source and destination. If an otherwise eligible donor does not appear, check whether it is equipped, locked, or assigned to a preset. Resolve the displayed restriction before spending on enhancement.
2. Inspect Soul Binding Lines
Soul Bind the donor and inspect its four random lines before enhancing. Set a modest acceptance rule, such as one or two lines that support your current build. A damage build, healer, and PvP setup need different outcomes; avoid chasing a universal perfect roll.
Compare another donor's price with the displayed Reset and Sync costs. Reset rerolls the lines together, while Sync targets individual lines. Neither deserves unlimited spending on preparation gear. Keep the accepted donor clearly separated from pieces intended for stone conversion.
3. Reach +15 on the Donor
Spend Enhance Stones on the accepted Level 36 item. Its lower attempt costs create the saving; the donor itself is temporary. Past +10, allow enough budget for failures rather than assuming the average will be your exact result.
If funds run short, pause. Check your total remaining commitment before continuing, and avoid starting a second donor simply because the first had poor enhancement luck.
