Start AION 2 alt farming with one character on your main's server. Complete the Expedition unlock around level 22, reach level 45, and begin with 700 Gear Score Conquest.
Consider 1,400 GS after checking its gearing cost, available reward claims and your actual session time. Energy alone cannot establish your weekly income.
With 30-60 minutes daily, finish your main's worthwhile runs first. Add one alt if time remains; expand after it reliably sends Kina home. These dungeon figures concern Global's early tiers.Decide Whether an Alt Pays
A 1,800 GS AION 2 main already qualifies for two-star Conquest and first-stage Transcendence. Use its remaining profitable claims first; an alt requires separate leveling and gearing.
Roster | Best Fit | Stop or Expand When |
Main only | Your main still has worthwhile claims, upgrades or unfinished runs | Spend those resources before starting another character |
Main plus one alt | Your main's useful runs are finished and you enjoy another class | Start at 700; fund 1,400 only if its payback fits your plans |
Main plus two alts | The first alt exports Kina without crowding out your main or free time | Add the second after measuring a normal week of sessions |
For your first farming alt, choose a class you can level comfortably, unlock Expedition early, and aim for 700 GS before committing resources to 1,400 GS.
Best Classes for AION 2 Alts
Choose around the job you can perform consistently. The reward cube pays the same Aion 2 Kina regardless of class, so fewer failed runs and shorter waits matter more than a theoretical damage ranking.
Class | Leveling and Solo Play | Dungeon Role | Investment Priority |
Cleric | Self-healing supports steady questing | Healing with damage between heals | Establish Condemnation's reset setup |
Chanter | Melee damage, sustain and movement | Buffs and support alongside damage | Improve its clearing skills and mobility |
Templar | Durable, but durability alone does not ensure fast kills | Tanking for groups that need one | Learn pulls and survival tools |
Gladiator | A reasonable option for familiar melee players | Primarily damage | Keep skills and weapon adequate for the tier |
These are role-based recommendations. A familiar Gladiator can be a better farming choice than a healer you dislike playing.
Cleric for Reliable Group Support
The damage setup centers on Chain of Torment and Condemnation. Condemnation requires a target affected by Chain of Torment; its skill-level-12 specialization resets its cooldown on a critical hit.
Earth Punishment at stigma level 5 makes Condemnation critically hit affected targets.
Apply Earth Punishment and Chain of Torment, then use Condemnation during the debuff window. Reapply the required effects when they expire, and interrupt damage to heal when needed. Keep Healing Light and Radiant Recovery available for manual use.
Skill level 12 is separate from character level 12. Use Daevanion skill nodes to supplement your ordinary skill-point allocation.
Check that the reset specialization is active before expecting repeated Condemnation casts. This interaction gives Cleric a concrete early investment target without requiring an endgame weapon.
Chanter for Questing and Farming
Chanter is worth considering if you want to progress independently between group sessions. Its mantras and healing complement melee attacks, while Rushing Smash provides a gap closer.
At skill level 12, its specialization resets the cooldown after defeating an enemy, helping you move between quest targets.
Prioritize that practical clearing setup before chasing late-game skill breakpoints. In groups, maintain your support effects and use defensive tools when required. Choose Cleric if you want responsibility for healing; choose Chanter if melee support appeals more. Repeating your main's class also reduces the time spent learning another rotation.
Leveling Your Alt to Conquest
Unlock Expeditions around Level 22
Create the alt on the same server as your main, then follow the story to the Expedition unlock. The relevant quests are Wind Breeze Merchants for Elyos and Daeva in a Dream for Asmodians. Reaching level 22 alone does not complete the unlock.
Open Expedition afterward and check the Odyle Energy counter and recovery timer. Once recovery is running, you can return to your main while the alt accumulates energy. Check back before its bar fills; a parked character stops gaining energy at the cap.
Prepare Your Skills and Gear
Continue the AION 2 main story toward level 45. When an Ascension requirement blocks progress, complete the activities needed for that requirement, then resume the story. Avoid clearing unrelated side content simply because it is available.
Equip quest upgrades and inspect empty accessory slots. Spend Daevanion Crystals on useful nodes, including the skill levels your class setup needs. At level 45, open Krao Cave or Draupnir in Expedition, select Conquest, and check the 700 GS requirement.
If 1,400 GS is within reach before your energy fills, save the energy for that tier. If gearing will take several sessions, use enough at 700 GS to prevent overflow. You can earn currency while building the alt without committing its entire reserve to lower rewards.
Conquest Dungeons by Gear Score
For AION 2 Kina farming, select Conquest deliberately. Exploration rewards serve character progression and pay bound currency. The following Global figures assume a complete boss clear, one 40-energy claim, and no weekly Kina reduction.
Gear Score | Conquest Dungeons | Kina per Claim | Kina per 80 Energy |
700 | Krao Cave, Draupnir | 200,000 | 400,000 |
1,400 | Urugugu Canyon, Vakron Sky Island | 300,000 | 600,000 |
2,100 | Fire Temple, Ferocious Horn Den | 400,000 | 800,000 |
Start at 700 GS
Use Krao Cave or Draupnir Conquest while the alt is still developing. Form or join an appropriate group, defeat the bosses that contribute to the reward, and claim the Odyle Energy Cube before leaving. Skipping a contributing boss reduces the payout.
Favor the dungeon your group finishes consistently, including recruitment and failures in its time cost. If clears repeatedly fail, fix the missing healing, skill setup or mechanic knowledge before chasing another GS milestone. Count rare tradeable drops only after they sell.
Move to 1,400 GS Selectively
Urugugu Canyon and Vakron Sky Island add 100,000 Kina per full-value claim over one-star dungeons.
A concrete starting sequence is to enhance the story's Spiritforged weapon to +10, complete the story for its guard, then enhance that guard to +10.
Finish missing quest accessories, improve the belt and amulet through their scroll-based Substance Morph upgrades, and spend available Daevanion Crystals. Recheck GS after each step; stop further investment once the target tier clears reliably.
For a hypothetical 3-million-Kina investment, the 100,000 increase repays it after 30 two-star claims: about 2.14 weeks at 14 weekly. Use this more conservative comparison, before materials, consumables and setup time.
The optimistic 1.07-week scenario also counts seven extra one-star claims, assuming their 280 energy would otherwise earn nothing.
If that character qualifies for Transcendence at 1,600 GS, compare the alternative rewards before counting those claims as extra income. Additional clears also cost time.
Push to 2,100 GS Conditionally
Fire Temple and Ferocious Horn Den add 100,000 Kina per claim over the 1,400 tier. Continue only when regular, reliable clears justify the gearing bill. Compare complete sessions: higher income per energy can still mean less Aion 2 Kina per hour. Keep the lower tier available when you lack a suitable group.
Odyle Energy and Weekly Income
Manage Recovery and Extra Energy
Global AION 2 client data lists recovery at 15 energy every three hours: 840 weekly before overflow. Storage caps are 560 free and 840 with membership. Membership permits a second claim and raises storage, without accelerating natural recovery.
Use existing energy before adding paid refills. The October 14 shop increase to 20 energy items per character is temporary during transfers. Planet's Call ends at the October 28 maintenance; compare attainable remaining rewards with its Kina-equivalent cost before committing.
Estimated Weekly Kina
840 energy can fund 21 claims; it does not guarantee eligibility for 21 rewards at your preferred tier. Before budgeting, inspect the dungeon's reward eligibility and timers. If counters are shown, record the general allowance and the shared count for the same-star pair; switching between that pair does not create more shared allowance.
Timer tables describe a general counter recovering once every eight hours, capped at 21, and tier-pair counters recovering twice daily, capped at 14. Another Global farming report instead budgets 21 two-star claims from energy alone. Check your client's enforced counters. The table models the stricter scenario, not a confirmed universal cap.
Character or Roster | Modeled Weekly Claims | Estimated Weekly Kina (Gross) |
One 700 GS character | 14 one-star | 2.8 million |
One 1,400 GS character | 14 two-star + 7 one-star | 5.6 million |
Main + one alt, both 1,400 GS | 28 two-star + 14 one-star | 11.2 million |
Main + two alts, all 1,400 GS | 42 two-star + 21 one-star | 16.8 million |
These single-claim budgets assume spent reserves, natural energy and unreduced rewards. Stored allowances can change an individual week. Gearing, consumables, refills and rare drops are excluded. Totals include the main; one 1,400 alt adds 5.6 million gross under this model, or two add 11.2 million.
At 700, 14 claims use 560 energy, leaving 280 outside this Conquest budget. At 1,400, the mixed route uses 840. Record counter changes after one claim; test the second separately with membership. Energy cost per claim stays the same.
Watch the Shared Weekly Reduction
Weekly Cumulative Play Reward is a separate system. Global reports place full Kina within the first 84 Conquest clears and 56 Transcendence clears across your characters on that server; later bands reduce Kina to 80%, 60%, 40% and 20%.
A double-claimed clear advances the play counter once; guaranteed-reward progress counts two claims. Creating an alt does not reset shared reductions. At 20%, a 300,000-Kina claim pays 60,000, making a 100,000-Kina energy refill a direct currency loss before other loot. Inspect both eligibility and the reward percentage before spending.
Transfer Kina and Upgrade Resources
Move Tradeable Kina through Storage
In AION 2, use Server Storage to move eligible resources between your characters on the same server:
1. On the alt, open storage at a Storage NPC and select Server Storage.
2. Deposit tradeable Kina and eligible items.
3. Switch to your main on that server.
4. Withdraw the resources and confirm the currency balance.
Inspect each item's storage restriction. Equipment that can enter Server Storage may still be Soul Bound to another character and unusable by the alt. Quest equipment and the Spiritforged weapon and guard do not follow the general dungeon-equipment transfer route.
Spend Bound Kina on Eligible Upgrades
Bound Kina stays on the character that earned it. For main-character equipment that permits server storage, move the item to the alt, use ordinary Enhance with the alt's bound Kina and its own Enhance Stones, then return it.
An alt can enhance eligible equipment it cannot equip. Keep Soul Binding resets out of this process because they can change the item's binding. Confirm the storage permission before moving valuable gear, and leave enough materials for the alt's own farming setup.
Shared pets and Genus Insight provide another benefit. Spend an alt's eligible local resources on the shared board when worthwhile; do not count already shared pets as a fresh collection reward for every new character.
Fit Farming into Your Day
For a limited-time AION 2 routine, budget for recruitment, travel, failures and character switches. Compare total session minutes and Kina sent home after expenses with your main's return.
Time Available | What to Do | When to Stop or Skip |
30 minutes | Finish the main's priority run; otherwise check the alt's energy and reward eligibility, then attempt its highest reliable profitable tier | Skip the alt if recruitment leaves insufficient time for a complete clear; stop after the first run if time is tight |
One hour | Finish main priorities, then use eligible two-star rewards on the alt; switch to one-star when two-star allowance is exhausted | Stop when energy, eligibility or remaining session time runs out |
Weekend block | Check each character's energy and stored counters; use eligible higher-tier claims first, then lower-tier claims that fit the budget | Take breaks between runs; stop refilling when claims are unavailable or reduced rewards no longer cover costs |
Free energy caps after roughly 4 days 16 hours from empty; a full week of weekend-only play loses recovery. Make a midweek check if you want the full weekly energy budget. Carry enough energy to claim before entering: leaving rewards unclaimed can consume a separate shared allowance and eventually block entries.
