Summary
The Spirit Master is one of the most rewarding classes in Aion 2. As a summoner, it can pump out a crazy amount of damage with the right setup — and Aion 2 Kina buy options can help fund your progression. This complete beginner guide will walk you through everything you need to know to perform well in all PvE content — from your leveling setup to the mid-game transition, including abilities, macros, rotations, specialties, and stigma choices.
Understanding the Core of the Spirit Master
Before diving into abilities and rotations, you need to understand the foundation of the class: your spirits. The Spirit Master has four main elemental spirits:
Water Spirit – Single-target attack
Earth Spirit – Taunt that also deals damage
Fire Spirit – Huge AoE attack
Wind Spirit – AoE attack that also restores HP to the Spirit Master
Key mechanics:
You can only have one active spirit at a time.
When you summon a new spirit, the previous one lasts for 2 extra seconds before disappearing. This means you can briefly have multiple spirits out if you summon them quickly in succession.
Every spirit uses its ability immediately when summoned. This is why you should cycle through your spirits rather than keeping just one out — you force them to use their abilities.
Spirits also have a chance to trigger their ability on auto-attacks:
Water and Fire Spirits: 15% base chance
Earth and Wind Spirits: 10% base chance
Important tip: Always summon the Fire Spirit last. It has the highest overall DPS, so you want it to be the one that stays active after the others disappear.
Early Game Setup (Leveling Phase)
Main Damage Abilities: Cold Shock & Combustion
Your primary damage during leveling comes from two abilities bound to your left click (Cold Shock) and right click (Combustion) . Both have no cooldown, so you can spam them non-stop.
Cold Shock generates MP (mana points).
Combustion consumes MP.
Specialties for Cold Shock:
20% more MP restored – This is usually enough to avoid running out of mana while leveling.
Second perk choice:
Absorb HP – Makes leveling easier and more survivable.
Fourth perk (recommended for damage) – Gives a stacking buff up to 10% more attack. Since attack is the basis for all damage, this increases your overall damage output.
Specialties for Combustion:
Second perk – Deals up to 12% more damage when fewer targets are hit. This means single-target boss fights get the full 12% bonus. Extremely strong.
20% skill speed – Allows you to use the ability faster.
Other Damage Abilities
Dimensional Control
Can be used whenever you summon a spirit.
After that, it's a straightforward damage ability.
Specialty: Take the second perk that deals additional damage after 3 seconds (50% of the original damage). Very strong.
Elemental Fusion
Requires 4 Elemental Stacks to use.
You gain one stack every time a spirit uses its ability.
You don't need four different spirits — the same spirit can contribute multiple stacks.
No cooldown — you can spam it as long as your spirits keep using their abilities.
Specialties:
Damage after 3 seconds on hit – 25% additional damage.
+Elemental Boost on hit – Boosts all elemental damage by 10%. Incredibly strong.
Note: You can make it a charge skill, but testing shows it's currently a damage loss. Stick with the standard version for now.
Joint Strike Curse
Applies a curse (DoT) on the enemy and coordinates an attack with your active spirits, forcing them to use their ability.
Only the currently active spirit(s) will attack — not all spirits you've summoned.
Specialty: Always take Mobile Skill first. Without it, the ability has an animation lock that feels terrible. Mobile Skill makes the class much more fun to play.
Stigma Abilities
Ancient Spirit (First Stigma to Skill)
The fifth spirit — works like the others: uses its ability on summon and has a chance to trigger on auto-attacks.
Can be active alongside your other spirits.
Lasts 30 seconds with a 1 minute 30 second cooldown (reducible).
Why it's strong: Having two active spirits means Joint Strike Curse triggers for both. Ancient Spirit's ability also counts toward Elemental Fusion stacks. It heavily increases all your damage.
Joint Strike Corrode
Works like Joint Strike Curse: inflicts Corrode (increases damage from all spirits toward that target) and forces spirits to use their ability.
Excellent additional damage.
Spirit Benediction
Self-buff that boosts PvE damage and PvE damage tolerance (you deal more, take less), and heals you.
Straightforward and powerful.
Flame Blessing
Self-buff giving your auto-attacks a chance to deal additional damage.
Passives (Early Game Priority)
Spirit Strike – Gives PvE damage boost and perfect chance to you and your spirits. Max this first.
Spirit Destiny – 50% chance to deal additional damage when attacking a target within 10 seconds of summoning a spirit. Since you constantly cycle spirits, this triggers almost 100% of the time.
Corrode – Gives critical hit chance and a chance to deal additional damage on critical hits.
Consecutive Countercurrent – Chance to deal additional damage when hitting a target affected by a damage-over-time effect.
These passives deal crazy damage early on, though they fall off slightly later.
Early Game Macro & Rotation
The Macro
Your macro has two lines:
Elemental Fusion line – Prioritizes Elemental Fusion. The macro cycles through your three pets (Water, Earth, Fire) but will never summon a pet if Elemental Fusion is ready. This minimizes wasted elemental stacks. Since Elemental Fusion is your best damage ability, you want it prioritized.
Joint Strike Corrode / Joint Strike Curse line – Uses these whenever they're off cooldown. They force your Fire Spirit to attack (since it's always out), but note: these forced attacks do not generate elemental stacks. Only summoning a spirit or passive auto-attack triggers count.
Dimensional Control placement: You could put it before the Earth Spirit in the macro, but testing shows it's slightly worse overall — you deal more damage with it but lose overall damage.
If everything is on cooldown, the macro uses Compassion.
How to play: Hold LMB and your macro button at the same time.
Rotation
Start with self-buffs: Spirit Benediction and Flame Blessing.
Immediately follow with Ancient Spirit.
Go into your macro.
Important: Don't put self-buffs into the macro. Use them at the right moment — not before a boss mechanic or for trash mobs.
If you use the charged version of Elemental Fusion, you must use it manually — it can't go in the macro.
Mid-Game Transition: What Changes
The main goal in mid-game is progressing your active, passive, and stigma abilities. Leveling active abilities makes a huge difference in damage and how the class plays.
Ability Leveling Priorities
Ability | Target Level | Why |
Elemental Fusion | 16 (ASAP) | New specialty: 25% chance to regain 4 elements — you can use it again immediately. Incredibly strong. You lose the extra damage after 3 seconds, but the level 16 perk is better. |
Fire Spirit | 16 | Increases all Fire Spirit stats by 20%. Huge damage boost. Remove the crit damage perk (keep activation chance — it's essential for Elemental Fusion stacks). |
Combustion | 16 | Gains an additional chain skill. Not insane, but slightly better than the skill speed alternative. |
Rapid Scattershot | 16 | Reduces all cooldowns heavily. Potential to reset Flame's Blessing, Spirit Benediction, and Ancient Spirits after a boss stagger. Very promising (still being tested). |
Note: Cold Shock (LMB) doesn't need level 16 — the perk is useless. Other spirits (Water, Earth, Wind) deal a small percentage of overall damage, so leveling them to 16 makes almost no difference.
Joint Strike Curse: Bring to level 12 for the -2 second cooldown. Level 20 increases curse duration, but the impact is minimal and not worth 8 skill points. Leave it at 12.
Dimensional Control: Level 16 only adds a root — not needed in PvE.
Summary: Focus on Elemental Fusion, Combustion, Fire Spirit, and Rapid Scattershot.
Stigma Leveling Priorities
Joint Strike Corrode → Level 5 – Gives +15% extra damage taken from spirits during Corrode. Very strong. Do this first.
Ancient Spirit → Level 15 – Gives a bunch of good effects. Don't bring to 20 early (costs 40 stigma shards). The Ancient Spirit's value is mostly in generating more Elemental Fusion stacks, not its own damage.
Flame Blessing → Level 15 – Increases damage, duration, and buffs. Quite a bit of a damage boost.
Spirit Benediction → Level 10 – Gives more damage boost from Spirit Strike passive.
Long-term: Bring all stigmas to level 20 eventually, but none are completely insane at 20. Splitting stigma shards between them gives more power overall.
Passive Priorities (Mid-to-Late Game)
Spirit Strike – Max first.
Mental Focus – Increases mental type chance by 29% (helps land fears, not important in PvE) but also increases double chance. On global version, double chance is hard to get, so this is very important.
Element Unification – Increases critical damage boost when a spirit lands an attack (stacks up to 5 times). Percentage damage increases are always excellent late game.
Macro & Rotation in Mid-Game
Nothing changes. Play exactly the same as early game:
Self-buffs (Spirit Benediction, Flame Blessing)
Ancient Spirit
Macro (hold LMB + macro button)
Final Tips & Summary
Always summon Fire Spirit last — it has the highest DPS and stays active after others disappear.
Cycle your spirits to force their abilities and generate Elemental Fusion stacks.
Prioritize Elemental Fusion in your macro — it's your best damage ability.
Don't put self-buffs in the macro — use them manually at the right time.
Level Elemental Fusion, Fire Spirit, Combustion, and Rapid Scattershot to 16 first.
Level Joint Strike Corrode to 5 first among stigmas.
Use Mobile Skill on Joint Strike Curse — the animation lock is awful without it.
