Plan your FC 27 Pre-Season rewards around your current squad and the players you actually receive. If you are starting your team today, assemble a playable XI before funding a specialist upgrade.
With an established XI, target the position causing repeated problems or keep FIFA coins if no clear improvement is available. The full 60K requires all four Completionist tiers plus Group Reward; playing FC 26 alone does not qualify you for that total.
Follow this order:
1. Check the coins, packs and Player Pick actually credited.
2. Decide whether to wait for Team 2, then inspect the packs you open and resolve the pick.
3. Build your XI around useful reward players and identify its weakest role.
4. Choose market replacements, Xavi Espart with a limited top-up, or saving the balance.
Check Your Completionist Rewards
EA schedules FC 27 carryover rewards for October 16, 2026:
What you earned in FC 26 | Coins | Other rewards |
Each Completionist I-IV tier | 10K | One untradeable 81+ x3 Pack |
Completionist Group Reward | Additional 20K | Tradeable 83+ 1-of-3 Player Pick |
All four tiers and the group | 60,000 total | Four packs and one pick |
Use the same EA Account and platform family that earned them. Budget from the credited balance: the scheduled date does not confirm receipt on every account. These FUT 27 coins are separate from pre-order FC Points.
For missing rewards, restart Ultimate Team and check your earned tiers and account details. EA's general missing-reward guidance allows up to 24 hours. If they remain absent, check EA's issue updates and contact EA Help with the missing content, platform ID and relevant dates.
Redeem earned carryover rewards within EA's one-month redemption window. If you miss the login deadline, you will not receive them; saving already-claimed packs is a separate decision.
Open Packs Now or Wait
If your FC 27 team is usable and you do not urgently need players, hold your packs until Team 2 actually appears and you can compare the selection. EA has scheduled Team 2 reveal for October 16, but the exact pack availability time remains unconfirmed. Check the active pack pool before opening.
Open now if you need players for today's matches or prefer the currently available selection. Neither choice guarantees a special card.
Inspect potential starters before funding the same positions, then resolve your Player Pick before allocating your FC 27 Coins.
Turn the Player Pick into Flexibility
For FC 27 tradeable 83+ 1-of-3 pick, compare the three exact versions by market value and immediate squad use. Select the most useful starter or the strongest sale option after accounting for the market fee. Add the proceeds to your upgrade plan only after the sale completes.
If the pick supplies your intended winger, remove Doku from the plan. If it funds most of Llorente while your right-back is the actual weakness, reassess that single upgrade. Let the reward change the shortlist before committing to a pair you no longer need.
Three Ways to Use 60K
If you are building from scratch, put useful rewards into their eligible positions and establish a club, league or nation core. Fill empty or unsuitable starting roles first. If ST or CDM is the weakest role, allocate your next transfer there before considering an RB.
Preview the resulting Chemistry before confirming changes; do not spend most of the balance on one fullback while several starting positions remain unresolved.
If your developing Academy striker or CAM can fill the attacking role you need, cancel that planned transfer and move its allowance to defence. The free four-stage route targets 85 OVR, with Academy IV scheduled for October 16.
Check availability, remaining tasks and eligibility in-game. Commit only if the previewed attributes improve your starter enough to justify those tasks; a reliable full-route completion-time estimate remains unavailable.
With a usable XI, the market pairs below suit LaLiga/Premier League hybrids needing an RB and wide creator in formations such as a 4-3-3 or 4-4-2. They are conditional examples, not a complete starter squad.
Improve Two Positions through the Market
This route addresses two weaknesses while preserving the option to resell. Prices are October 16 database snapshots for console, not guaranteed live offers; spending limits are editorial recommendations.
FC 27 Players | Reference quote | Suggested maximum | Main reason to select it |
Jules Koundé, 85 gold | 11.5K | 12K | Defensive RB with CB coverage |
Jérémy Doku, 84 gold | 10.5K | 12K | Wide acceleration and dribbling |
Marcos Llorente, 85 gold | 39.75K | 40K | Repeated attacking runs from RB or a CM option |
If either item exceeds its stated spending limit, skip the combination. Recheck the market or consider a lower-cost alternative serving the same role. The 24K and 52K plans apply only when both individual limits can be met.
Koundé plus Doku costs about 22K at those quotes. This suits an existing Barcelona/LaLiga and Manchester City/Premier League core that can support each card's Chemistry separately; the pair does not link through a shared club, league or nation.
Preview both in your full XI, including manager contributions. Cap the combination at 24K and keep at least 36K. Choose it for a weak RB and a winger who struggles to create separation; omit either transfer if it merely matches your starter.
For wide creation, Doku's 95 Acceleration, 93 Agility and Rapid+ favour beating a defender and creating the next pass. His Winger++ at LW and LM suits that assignment; check the exact role separately if you deploy him on the right. His 75 Finishing and 70 Stamina are reasons to look elsewhere if you need sustained finishing output.
Semenyo's 85 gold item, with a 7.5K-11K reference price, offers 86 Finishing and 84 Stamina. Prefer Semenyo for that finishing role; prefer Doku when beating the first defender is the problem. Those are attribute-based recommendations, not a claim of tested match superiority.
If you want to invest more coins, Llorente plus Doku costs about 50.25K at the reference quotes. Cap the pair at 52K, leaving 8K. The extra expenditure over Koundé funds Llorente's 91 Pace, 93 Stamina and Relentless+ for an attacking fullback workload.
Koundé has 83 Defending against Llorente's 79: select the lower-cost pair if the right-back mainly stays behind the attack. Paying another 28K for forward running makes little sense in that role.
If you already have a reliable RB, skip both right-back changes and address the actual weakness.
For Bundesliga centre-back cover, Schlotterbeck's 87 gold was quoted at 5.5K on FUTWIZ; use a 7K ceiling. His 77 Acceleration and 84 Sprint Speed make him a budget defensive option, but provide no basis to promise that he fixes high-line recovery problems.
Skip an inflated listing or a lateral change from an equally capable starter.
Use Espart Only Where He Wins
Espart's 85 Future Stars item covers LB, RB, CDM and CM. Compare him with the market alternative for the position you will actually use:
Need | Preferred comparison | Decision |
A defensive RB | Koundé at up to 12K | Keep the coin difference unless Espart solves another genuine need |
A creative fullback with LB coverage | Espart; price the full solution before submitting | Consider SBC for his 88 Pace, 84 Dribbling and 87 Short Passing |
An attacking RB with repeated forward runs | Llorente at up to 40K | His 93 Stamina compares favourably with Espart's 75 |
Espart's position flexibility has value if you switch systems or lack a left-back. It does not justify replacing an RB you already trust. His 74 Physical also warrants caution if your intended use is a lone holding midfielder whose main job is winning contact.
SBC requires 34,000 Item Score. Check how much your surplus FC 27 Items contribute before adding coins. SBC solutions cost approximately 32.8K–40.6K Coins depending on the submission route; check the total cost on your platform before committing.
Use a coin top-up threshold of 15K or less when surplus untradeables supply the rest and Espart enters your XI. This is an editorial spending limit. If you must fund the whole solution for RB alone, choose Koundé within his limit and keep the difference; for LB coverage and improved distribution, Espart has a clearer case.
When you open the reward packs, keep starters and useful substitutes first. Set aside the remaining untradeable players for SBCs, then preview Espart's full submission.
Submit them only if he fills an identified vacancy and keeps the coin top-up within 15K. Otherwise retain them for later SBC choices. Check his live expiry timer before committing.
Hold Coins When the Upgrade Is Marginal
Wait through October 22 Season 2 start if your current starters already perform the jobs described above. Holding keeps your options open for new cards and SBCs; the cost is playing the intervening matches without an improvement. It does not establish that today's targets will fall in price.
Spend now to address a recurring failure, such as a winger who cannot beat a defender. Wait when the change offers only a higher rating or a sidegrade. There is no established price trend supporting an October 22 market low.
Scale the Plan to Your Balance
With a smaller FC 27 reward balance, prioritise one weakness before splitting the funds:
Available reward coins | Practical allocation at the stated limits |
20K | Koundé or Doku up to 12K; keep at least 8K |
30K | Both up to 24K if both start; keep at least 6K |
40K | The same pair up to 24K; keep 16K unless one larger upgrade clearly wins |
60K | Lower-cost pair up to 24K, attacking pair up to 52K, or Espart with a limited top-up |
A weak starter team can prioritise two replacements; an established XI with one weakness can concentrate its spend there.
A 15K reserve is optional: it covers another 10K-12K option with some headroom. Keep 36K after the lower-cost pair, or accept an 8K reserve when both parts of the larger upgrade solve clear problems. Set the reserve around your next plausible replacement.
