Summary

MapleStory Classic World has released its Founders Access notes ahead of the October 21 grand launch. The game will feature a level 100 cap, classic and modern controls, controller support, new field bosses, the Beauty Album, and Founder rewards. Players preparing for early progression can also consider their MapleStory Classic World Mesos needs. However, Forgotten Hollow and additional job advancements remain unavailable at launch.

1. Founders Access Confirms the October 21 Launch Setup

Founders will get early access before the full launch, while the official grand launch is scheduled for October 21. Steam players will need the full MapleStory installation to access Classic World, while Nexon Launcher players can launch it separately.

The Founder package will also be delivered through the in-game mailbox, giving players a convenient way to claim their rewards.

Classic World will support both Windows and Mac, with English and Spanish language options.

Players can also choose between:

  • Classic-style keybinds

  • Modern-style controls with WASD movement

  • Full Xbox controller support

  • Full PlayStation controller support

This gives Classic World a more flexible control setup without abandoning its old-school gameplay feel.

2. Level 100 Is the Current Cap With Only Two Job Advancements

The launch version will begin with a relatively compact progression system.

Every character starts on Maple Island before traveling to Victoria Island. The first job advancement happens at Level 10, followed by the second job advancement at Level 30.

There is currently no third job advancement, while the maximum level is capped at 100.

Players can create up to three characters per account. Character deletion also includes a waiting period, so creating characters without planning ahead could become inconvenient.

3. New Field Bosses Add More Reasons to Explore

Classic World is also launching with several field bosses that should give players additional targets while leveling and exploring.

The current lineup includes:

  • Mano

  • Mushmom

  • Shade

  • Zombie Mushmom

  • Junior Balrog

Shade is particularly interesting for longtime MapleStory players because of its connection to the Kerning Subway.

These bosses should make the early-world maps feel more active while giving players additional reasons to travel outside their normal leveling routes.

4. Beauty Album Finally Saves Your Favorite Looks

One of the smaller but welcome additions is the new Beauty Album.

Players can roll Royal styles and save appearances for later use instead of losing track of cosmetic combinations they like.

It is a simple quality-of-life feature, but it makes character customization much more convenient, especially for players who enjoy collecting different looks.

5. Citizenship Rewards Make Early Progress More Valuable

Citizenship remains available starting at Level 12, and players are encouraged to complete it as early as possible.

The system includes daily and weekly quests that can provide useful benefits, including discounts and special items from local stores.

For new characters, completing Citizenship early could therefore provide long-term value rather than being something to ignore during the leveling process.

6. Kerning Party Quest Is Still the Only PQ at Launch

Players should not expect a large selection of Party Quests immediately.

The current launch content only includes Kerning Party Quest. Other familiar activities, including Henesys and Orbis-related Party Quests, will not be available yet.

Orbis and El Nath are also not part of the current launch content, keeping the initial world considerably smaller than the full MapleStory experience.

7. Founders Get a New Check-In Event and Free Rewards

Founders will also receive an additional event running from October 6 through October 20.

After reaching Level 10, players can speak with Maple Administrator to begin collecting daily rewards. Missing a calendar day does not reset progression; returning later simply allows players to claim the next available check-in reward.

The rewards include:

  • Leaf Points

  • Red and Blue Potions

  • Megaphones

  • Atmospheric effects

The total Leaf Point rewards can reach roughly 11,000 across the event, providing Founders with useful Cash Shop currency before the full launch.

8. GM Events Will Keep Founders Busy Before Launch

Founders Access will also feature several GM-hosted activities.

Players can expect events such as:

  • Jump Quests

  • Fitness events

  • Coconut Harvest

  • Up and Up

  • Monster Invasion

These events give Founders additional activities to experience before everyone enters Classic World on October 21.

9. Forgotten Hollow Will Not Be Available Yet

One of the biggest content omissions is Forgotten Hollow.

The area will not be available during Founders Access because the path leading to it has not yet been discovered. More importantly, it will not simply be unlocked with the grand launch either. The developers plan to add it at a later date.

That leaves an interesting question about whether the area will receive balance changes or visual improvements before eventually becoming accessible.

Final

The Founders Access notes give players a much clearer picture of what MapleStory Classic World will actually look like at launch. The Level 100 cap, limited job progression, five field bosses, Beauty Album, Citizenship rewards, Founder check-in event, and GM activities provide a solid starting package, while MapleStory Classic Mesos will also be an important part of the early progression experience. At the same time, the absence of Forgotten Hollow, additional Party Quests, and third job advancement shows that Classic World is launching with a deliberately limited scope. The next major information drop could reveal just how much the developers have changed beneath the surface.
