Ethereal Knives (EK)
Why EK Is God Tier
Ethereal Knives received significant buffs in 3.29. It gained two extra projectiles baked into the skill gem, with the quality now providing projectile speed instead. Base critical strike chance increased to 10%, and effectiveness was boosted to 250% with about 200 extra flat physical damage at level 20.
Build Variants
Herald Stacker – Converts 75% to cold and 25% to lightning. Giga-buffs Herald of Ash with buff effect nodes, Herald of the Hive, and Sublime Vision. Headhunter works extremely well since EK is base physical damage.
Chieftain Fire Convert – Uses Avatar of Fire and gloves for 100% fire conversion. Stacks fire resistance for Enmity's Embrace (fire penetration equal to over-capped fire res up to 200%). Chieftain explosions provide 90% all damage.
Blade Blast of Unloading (Saboteur)
How It Works
Blade Blast of Unloading differs from regular Blade Blast by exploding Blade Vortexes on your character instead of blades on the ground. Each Blade Vortex provides 5% more damage and 100% more AoE. Base critical strike chance increased to 10%, similar to EK.
Generating Blade Vortexes
Use Rage Vortex of Berserking with Cast on Crit Blade Vortex. Saboteur's Perfect Crime node helps with trigger generation. Since the damage comes from Blade Blast (not the triggered skill), the less damage penalty from Perfect Crime does not apply to Blade Blast.
Arc of Oscillating (Hierophant)
The Buffs
Arc of Oscillating received a 0.1-second cast time reduction (from 0.7 to 0.6 seconds). The bigger buff is the Pact of Bedet, which grants 35% more damage and six additional chains. This is massive because Oscillating gets significantly more damage per chain than regular Arc.
Why It's Strong

The mechanic involves casting Lightning Orb with extremely low cast speed (using Chill or Grasping Vines), then casting Lightning Warp at the start of the map. Switch to Reverse Chill and movement speed gear to run through the Heist quickly. The long-lasting Lightning Warp persists off-screen and teleports you back to the start.
Winter Orb Power Charge Stacker (Occultist)
How It Scales
Stack max power charges using new ring corruptions, helmet, and shield. Use Sublime Vision (expensive) and Badge of the Brotherhood to set max frenzies equal to max power charges. Ralakesh's Boots negate downsides that remove power charges.
Why It's Strong
Winter Orb is extremely powerful and recommended before it gets nerfed again. Power charge stacking feels smooth and scales damage significantly. It's a zoomer build with strong clear speed.
Kinetic Blast Clustering (Necro or Hierophant)
The Nerf and Why It's Still Good
Kinetic Blast Clustering was slightly nerfed this league but remains a powerhouse. Its strengths include mana stacking, full-screen clear, multiple overlaps, and strong Headhunter synergy (base physical damage).
Necro Advantage
Necro provides Corpse Pack for a ton of attack speed (buffed a league or two ago), making the build incredibly smooth.
Viper Strike Pathfinder
The Bino's Buff
Viper Strike was initially thought to be nerfed, but Bino's Kitchen Knife received a significant buff. It now provides 3 meters of poison proliferation, effectively giving the build full-screen clear.
Legion Synergy
This build excels at Legion content. By killing monsters in stasis over and over, poison proliferates through the entire Legion encounter. The damage comes from the Low Tolerance notable, which grants 300% increased damage on non-poisoned targets. Stack a few of these clusters and the build becomes extremely strong.
Discharge Assassin
Classic Nuke Build
Discharge is a classic build that turns you into a nuke by exploding Power, Frenzy, and Endurance charges. Each charge type grants massive flat damage (Power = Lightning, Frenzy = Cold, Endurance = Fire). Discharge also gains more AoE per charge removed.
Charge Stacking
This league allows more charges than ever thanks to +1 power charges on rings. Badge of the Brotherhood sets max frenzies equal to max power charges. Use Farrul's Fur with Aspect of the Cat to sustain charges.
