Chris Roberts explained that Cloud Imperium Games originally planned to release the single-player campaign around the 2026 Intergalactic Aerospace Expo, but decided that early 2027 would provide a better launch window because of the enormous attention surrounding GTA 6.
CIG has also confirmed a hands-on opportunity for selected original backers and long-time content creators on October 9-10. More information about the release plans and a specific date is expected around that event.
Alpha 4.10.2 Enters Evocati
Meanwhile, Alpha 4.10.2 has entered Evocati testing. CIG's PTU system uses Evocati as an early testing group before wider waves, allowing developers to identify bugs and stability problems.
Early reports and leaked testing information point to a new Stanton in-system event, alongside stability fixes, persistence improvements and VR-related changes. However, much of the Evocati build remains under NDA, so leaked details should be treated as unconfirmed until CIG publishes official patch notes.
Orison Relief Support Is Live
For players jumping into the Live game, Orison Relief Support is currently the main activity. Alpha 4.10.1 introduced contracts covering combat, salvage, crafting, resource gathering and hauling as players help rebuild Orison after the Nine Tails attack.
The event runs until October 7, giving players limited time to complete its activities and work toward the SecondWind reward set.
