1. Begin on Zephras Isle
The Skyborne adventure starts on Zephras Isle, where players experience the race's history and culture. Thousands of years ago, exiled elven nobles formed a pact with elemental wind spirits and established a civilization in Skywall, one of the elemental planes.
The wind spirits eventually disappeared, leaving Zephras Isle in crisis. Ancient structures are beginning to collapse, settlements are becoming isolated, and the Skyborne are divided over their future. The level 1-12 starting area combines classic Warcraft aesthetics with elemental-inspired architecture and introduces players to the race's story.
2. Choose Your Faction and Class
During character creation, Skyborne players choose either the Horde or Alliance. This decision determines several class options and represents two different approaches to their heritage.
Horde Skyborne are known as Windshapers. They maintain strong connections to elemental traditions and can choose Druid, Hunter, Rogue, Shaman, or Warrior.
Alliance Skyborne are known as High Ascendants. They focus on recovering ancestral arcane knowledge and can choose Druid, Hunter, Mage, Rogue, or Warrior.
Both factions share Druid, Hunter, Rogue, and Warrior. Skyborne Druids also receive unique forms designed around their culture and connection to Zephras Isle.
3. Skyborne Racial Abilities
Windshapers have four key racial abilities. Skystride lets them glide downward through the air for 10 seconds. Skyward Vision increases movement speed by 10% through elemental blessings. Wind's Blessing increases melee, ranged, and spell haste by 1%, while Elemental Insight increases damage dealt to Elementals by 5%.
High Ascendants also gain Skystride, Wind's Blessing, and Elemental Insight. Their unique ability, Leyline Attunement, activates a leyline and increases health and mana regeneration by 100%.
4. Customize Your Skyborne
Skyborne offer thousands of cheap WOW Forever Gold appearance combinations. Players can customize facial features, skin tones, hairstyles, hair colors, eye colors, ears, eyebrows, facial hair, vision options, feathers, facial tattoos, and body tattoos.
Both body types provide extensive customization, with additional accessories and jewelry available for certain options. Appearance changes can also be made later at a barber for a fee.
