AION 2 Wings Progression: Which Wings Should You Unlock First After October 9 Update?

AION 2 increased Flight Power of four free quest wings by 500 each during global maintenance on October 9, 2026. Their combined contribution rose from 3,500 to 5,500. The three later quest pairs now provide 1,000 each, giving players more reason to finish collecting them.

Running out of Flight Power while reaching high Hidden Cubes or collecting Empyrean Traces interrupts exploration. After finishing the quest wings, however, another crafted or dungeon pair typically adds just 200 Flight Power. Acquisition costs and additional stats become more relevant to your next choice.

Finish Your Quest Wings First

Your first Daeva wings in AION 2 come from story quests: Power in Lake in Poeta for Elyos, or The Being Beneath Lake in Ishalgen for Asmodians. Ascension quests unlock the next three pairs. October 9 changes apply to both factions.

Recommended levels are separate from mandatory unlock requirements. Check a missing pair's Source tab in Wings. One Who Hears Voice requires a 100% Ascension Gauge and story progress to Daeva in a Dream.

Once eligible, press J, open Journal's Ascension tab, select the quest, and use Teleport at the bottom right to reach Dream Crossroad and speak to Asahr. If the quest is missing, check your gauge and story progress.

Each later quest adds 1,000 Flight Power, matching five new pairs worth 200 each. Complete available quests first.

Owned Effects stack and remain active after switching wings; Equipped Effects apply only to your current pair. Flight Speed controls movement speed, and Flight Power points cannot be converted directly into seconds.

Craft First or Run Conquest?

Choose your next AION 2 wings by inventory and current activities. With 70 featherdown and 10 Pure Odyle, crafting avoids waiting for a random sealed-wing drop. If you lack featherdown but can already run the target Conquest dungeon, keep pursuing gear while looking for wings.

Unenhanced Sealing, Glorious, Kromede, Forest Spirit, and Dark Veil Wings each provide 200 Flight Power. Prioritize additional stats and remaining costs. A dungeon pair still adds 200 after you own a crafted pair, without requiring an equipment change.

For solo exploration, prioritize one crafted pair. If you already have the required Sealed Wings and 10 Radiant Odyle, convert them immediately; gathering 70 featherdown first is unnecessary.

Pure Odyle and Radiant Odyle are different materials, separate from Odyle Energy used to claim dungeon rewards. Morphing a 40-point Odyle Energy refill costs 25 Odyle, five Fine Odyle, one Pure Odyle, and 50,000 Aion 2 Kina. Include that expense when budgeting dungeon runs.

Choose Your First Crafted Pair

Sealing Wings and Glorious Wings each require 70 Sealed Wing Featherdown and 10 Pure Odyle, with one craft per character for each recipe. Their Flight Power gains match:

If materials allow only one pair, choose by missing stats. For long-term equipment use, Glorious also provides 3% MP Cost Reduction; Sealing provides HP +400, Natural HP Regen +200, and 5% Incoming Heal. Compare mana costs against health recovery. If keeping your current wings equipped, prioritize Owned Effects.

Featherdown is bound and comes from one-time solo Sealed Dungeons. Having enough Aion 2 Kina will not let you obtain the required 70 through the market. Open the map's Exploration tab, select an unfinished Sealed Dungeon, and use Travel to reach its entrance.

Elyos can start with Poacher's Den or Mysterious Mushroom Cave. Confirm the completion notification, checklist mark, and inventory rewards afterward.

At two featherdown per reward, starting from zero requires 35 different dungeons; with 50 already collected, you need ten more. Clear nearby unfinished locations without repeating claimed rewards. Both pairs require 140 featherdown, while the 60 Elyos home-region dungeons yield only 120 at this rate. Completing your region does not cover both crafts.

Gather Pure Odyle from airborne Odyle nodes using Essence Extraction. Grades vary, and depleted Flight Power interrupts gathering. Once materials are ready, open Substance Morph from the main menu, craft the chosen pair, and use the finished item to unlock it.

Empyrean Traces cannot substitute for featherdown. If inventory and dungeon counts disagree, check previous wing crafts and the rewards' full names before calculating your shortfall.

Collect Dungeon Wings by Role

AION 2 Conquest suits players pursuing both gear and wings. These pairs give equal Flight Power but different equipped bonuses:

Consider Forest Spirit for PvE boss damage or Dark Veil for general damage. If already farming Fire Temple gear, collect Kromede along the way. If you also plan to craft the dungeon's weapon selection chest, budget 2,000,000 Aion 2 Kina and the other required materials. There is no need to switch dungeons solely for the same 200 Flight Power.

Compare Unique wings against your equipped pair. Ultimate Daeva already provides HP +500, Critical Hit +35, and Penetration +500. Kromede matches its HP and critical hit but changes the remaining stat combination. Keeping quest wings equipped while gaining Kromede's Owned Effects is viable.

Convert the corresponding Sealed Wings ×1 with Radiant Odyle ×10 in Substance Morph. Drops are random, so avoid assuming a fixed run count. Continue pursuing needed gear when wings do not drop; duplicates add no collection bonus.

Check Gains before Investing More

Use AION 2's default Alt+C shortcut to open Wings, then All Applied Effects and All Owned Effects. Four quest pairs contribute 5,500 Flight Power; adding one pair above brings that collection contribution to 5,700. Other owned wings add separately.

Client data includes +10 Wing Enhancement and Kina, Sync Stone, and Enhance Stone costs, but global availability still needs confirmation.

October 9 notice did not announce its activation. Plan around unenhanced gains. Carry Wind Serum and use recovery points for long trips without counting temporary recovery toward your permanent maximum.

While progressing, finish available quest wings, then craft Sealing or Glorious according to inventory. Once running Conquest, pursue dungeon wings within your equipment route. For equal 200-point gains, prioritize a pair that also supports your current progression.
