Aniimo's latest Windchaser's Departure update has added Irisalis, a new Legendary Aniimo, alongside a brand-new Transmog system for changing Legendary Aniimo appearances. The event is live from September 25 to December 10, 2026, and Irisalis can be obtained by collecting Iris Petals and crafting the Legendary Aniipod.
The important part is that you do not need to spend money to work toward Irisalis. The event contains several weekly sources of Iris Petals, Aniimo Boosting and knowing how those resets work can make the grind much easier.
How to Get Irisalis Petals in Aniimo
The first major mistake is waiting until you have 99 Iris Petals before paying attention to the event.
That is actually backwards.
The Memory: The Faded Rainbow activity provides a recurring weekly source of Iris Petals. Current guides report that the reward can be claimed twice per weekly cycle, with each claim providing 3 Iris Petals alongside other rewards. That works out to 6 Iris Petals per week from this activity alone. The weekly cycle resets on Monday at 4:00 a.m. according to current community tracking.
The event shop provides another important source. Breezy Mission Letters can be exchanged for Glimmers and can reward an Irisalis Flower containing 5 Iris Petals. Five purchases per week can therefore provide another 25 Petals.
There is also a weekly Petal option in the Stamp Shop, adding another 4 Petals per week.
Together, those three recurring sources can provide up to 35 Iris Petals per week:
6 from Memory: The Faded Rainbow, 25 from the event shop, and 4 from the Stamp Shop.
That completely changes how long the Irisalis grind feels. Instead of treating 99 Petals as one enormous target, think of it as a weekly progression system that you should keep collecting throughout the event.
Don't Stop Farming After You Get Irisalis
Getting the 99 Petals needed for Irisalis is not necessarily the end of the Petal economy.
The current event also offers the Floral Rainbow Feather for 30 Petals. Community guides identify this as a major reward because its core effect increases damage dealt by summoned clones, which is especially relevant to Irisalis' clone-focused gameplay.
The event also gives players access to Transmog-related resources, meaning extra Petals can continue to matter after you have acquired the Legendary Aniimo.
Officially, befriending Irisalis is also what unlocks its exclusive Transmog ability.
How Aniimo's New Transmog System Works
Aniimo's new Transmog system allows players to customize Irisalis' appearance without changing its combat performance.
The system currently has five visual categories:
Color, Wings, Headwear, Body, and Effects.
Current Transmog guides confirm that the system gradually unlocks additional appearance parts as players accumulate Transmog progress.
A Transmog roll generates a new combination for the appearance slots that are available. Players can then decide whether to keep rolling or preserve specific pieces once the paid currency system allows locking.
The key point is that Transmog is cosmetic. It does not increase Irisalis' stats, skills, or combat effectiveness.
Glimmering Driftshadow vs Radiant Dreamshadow
This is probably the most important part of the new system for free-to-play players.
Glimmering Driftshadow is the more accessible Transmog currency. Current guides report that it can reroll the early appearance slots, including Color, Wings and Headwear, but it cannot be used once you have locked an appearance slot.
Radiant Dreamshadow is the premium Transmog currency. It is the currency used for the more flexible rolls, including situations where appearance pieces have been locked. Current item data identifies it as a Legendary currency used specifically to change an Aniimo's appearance.
This creates an important resource decision.
For early rolls where you are still experimenting, the cheaper Glimmering Driftshadow is much more appropriate. Once you start locking specific pieces, you move into the more expensive part of the system.
Why You Should Be Careful With Transmog Rolls
The expensive part of Transmog is not simply the initial roll.
The problem comes when you decide that one particular appearance piece is worth keeping.
Community testing indicates that locking desirable pieces increases the cost of subsequent rolls, while Glimmering Driftshadow can no longer be used when a part is locked.
That means free players should not approach Transmog as though every roll is equally valuable.
A better approach is to use your free Transmog resources while the system is still open, experiment with different looks, and avoid locking pieces until you are certain that the appearance is worth protecting.
The exact amount of money required to chase a specific complete combination can vary heavily because the system is randomized. Community reports include very different spending outcomes, so large spending estimates should be treated as player experiences rather than guaranteed costs.
The Best Way to Approach the Irisalis Event
For most players, the priority is straightforward.
First, collect the weekly Iris Petals from every available source. Do not wait until you are close to 99 Petals before starting.
Second, craft Irisalis as soon as you meet the requirement and unlock its exclusive Transmog system.
Third, use Glimmering Driftshadow for early cosmetic experimentation rather than rushing into premium rerolls.
Finally, remember that the Transmog system is optional. Irisalis itself can be progressed through the event without buying premium cosmetics, Buy Aniimo Boosting while Transmog changes appearance rather than combat stats.
Aniimo's new Irisalis event therefore has two very different progression paths: free gameplay progression toward the Legendary Aniimo and optional cosmetic customization through Transmog. Understanding that distinction is the easiest way to avoid wasting your weekly resources-or spending premium currency before you know exactly what you are chasing.
