Dark and Darker Season 10 guide: My first impressions of Wizard, Cleric, and the new Wyvern boss
Summary
After jumping into the Season 10 wipe, I can honestly say this is one of the most exciting updates Dark and Darker has received in a long time. I spent hours testing the new Wizard and Cleric abilities, experimenting with different builds, and taking on the new Wyvern boss. Some skills felt surprisingly powerful, others need more testing, but almost every new addition opens up fresh strategies. If you're wondering what to prioritize after the wipe, here are the biggest discoveries from my first sessions.
1. Wizard gains incredible mobility and creative gameplay
Wizard feels more versatile than ever. Transmutation lets you disguise yourself as breakable objects, making ambushes and escapes far more effective. It even drops monster aggro if you stay still, creating unique opportunities to reset fights.
Fly also stands out by allowing access to high ground that many classes simply cannot reach. Combined with Teleport, Wizards can reposition constantly and control fights from angles that opponents rarely expect.
2. New spells make Wizard a serious late-game threat
Several new spells dramatically improve the class. Frost Wave works well as a defensive tool against aggressive melee players, while Meteor Strike delivers massive burst damage if enemies fail to reposition.
Arcane Infusion, Arcane Surge, and Arcane Insight further strengthen different playstyles. Whether you prefer spell casting or hybrid melee builds, these skills provide multiple competitive options for both PvE farming and PvP encounters.
3. Cleric becomes much more than a support class
Cleric received some of the most interesting additions in Season 10. Divine Barrier offers strong defensive utility, Blessed Bread creates valuable healing resources for long expeditions, and Withering Word reduces enemy maximum health, making boss fights and PvP engagements much easier.
Skills like Excommunication and Vow of Silence also create powerful burst combinations that reward proper timing instead of simple healing rotations.
4. The Fire Wyvern is the perfect endgame challenge
The new Fire Wyvern boss is one of the highlights of the update. While its attack patterns become predictable after several attempts, positioning remains critical. Learning when to dodge tail swings, avoid fire attacks, and capitalize on long recovery windows makes the fight much more manageable.
The arena also introduces excellent vertical design, rewarding players who explore the surrounding lifts and alternate routes before engaging the boss.
5. Focus on the new meta for faster progression
Season 10 rewards players who adapt quickly. Wizards now excel at mobility and burst damage, while Clerics provide stronger healing, utility, and offensive pressure than ever before. Learning these updated builds and mastering the Fire Wyvern encounter will give you a significant advantage during the early wipe and help you gear up much faster than the competition.
