Marking the second anniversary of Delta Force, Game Director Shadow released the annual roadmap on Saturday. Key announcements include: the next season's new map will be upgraded to Unreal Engine 5; the all-new "Siege" gameplay mode (codenamed "Valkyrie") is set to launch in early 2027; and the open beta for the new "Detonation" mode begins on September 27. Officials stated that these changes stem from two years of player feedback regarding matchmaking, anti-cheat measures, and the new-player experience. Maps will utilize real-time dynamic global illumination and Nanite rendering technology, allowing explosions, gadget effects, and weather changes to dynamically alter the battlefield atmosphere.
"Siege" is the highlight of this announcement. The gameplay features a massive wall separating the "Inner City"—a hub of technology and wealth—from the "Outer City," a chaotic wasteland of ruins. Shadow explained, "Under current rules, 'Simple,' 'Normal,' and 'Hard' modes are distinct matches strictly categorized by gear value. In 'Siege,' these matches are merged." Players who were previously separated will now enter the same battle, with different rules applying depending on which side of the wall they are on. Players can choose to fill their backpacks in the Outer City and extract safely, or wait for the Inner City's defenses to be breached and rush in amidst the chaos to seize high-value loot, including Delta Force Tekniq Alloy.
The new season launches in November, coinciding with the opening of an upgraded shooting range where players can practice their aim and test various abilities before heading into combat.
