Paragon leveling is faster than ever this season, with players reaching Paragon 300 within the first week. The biggest reason is that you now have several efficient ways to farm experience, allowing you to choose the method that best fits your build and available resources.
This guide covers the three fastest Paragon XP methods: Helltides, the Undercity, and Infernal Hordes. It also explains the War Plans nodes and Splinters that make each method more effective.
Before getting into the main methods, there is also a temporary experience opportunity worth using. The current Tree of Whispers event greatly increases the value of Whisper Caches, making Whispers particularly useful for leveling alternate characters. 1. Helltide Paragon XP Farming
Helltides are the easiest of the three methods to start because they require zero War Plans nodes and no special Tribute setup.
The main requirement is having the right Splinters socketed into your jewelry. For this strategy, use Splinter of Wise and Splinter of Damnation.
Splinter of Wise provides a 25% experience increase, but it also weakens you and makes you more vulnerable. Splinter of Damnation provides another 25% experience increase and increases Monster Power whenever you kill an Elite Pack.
Focus on Elite Packs
The key to this method is maintaining the Damnation effect.
After killing an Elite Pack, the increased Monster Power effect lasts for 25 seconds. You therefore need to find another Elite Pack before the timer expires.
This makes movement speed extremely important. Rather than slowly clearing everything around you, move across the Helltide as quickly as possible and prioritize Elite Packs. The more Elite Packs you kill during each 25-second window, the longer you can maintain the experience-focused farming cycle.
You can also use Splinter of Terror to improve movement speed. With the required reputation progression, its Shrine effect lasts longer and provides a substantial movement-speed boost.
If you already have Enigma, teleporting around the map is another effective way to reduce travel time.
The basic Helltide loop is therefore simple: move quickly, find Elite Packs, kill them, and keep the Damnation effect active.
2. Undercity Paragon XP Farming
The Undercity provides a much more structured experience loop. For this method, you only need one important War Plans node: Jade Epiphany.
Jade Epiphany causes experience orbs to drop whenever you increase your Attunement rank.
You receive one orb at Attunement Rank 1, two at Rank 2, three at Rank 3, and four at Rank 4.
Use Destruction Primeval Power
Destruction Primeval Power is highly recommended for this strategy because it increases the number of experience orbs you receive while also increasing Monster Power.
However, there is an important detail: the experience orbs appear where your character is standing, so you need to physically pick them up.
It is easy to rush through the Undercity and leave experience behind. Pay attention whenever you increase your Attunement and make sure you collect the orbs before continuing.
Use Pathfinder to Rush the Boss
After Jade Epiphany, the other major War Plans node for this method is Pathfinder.
Once your Attunement reaches Rank 4, Pathfinder gives you a portal directly to the boss. This means you should not continue clearing monsters after reaching maximum Attunement.
Instead, activate the necessary beacons, increase your Attunement to Rank 4, take the portal, kill the boss, leave the dungeon, and immediately start another run.
The goal is to minimize downtime. You do not want to spend extra time killing mobs after reaching Rank 4, and you should avoid unnecessary time in town between runs.
You also do not need Tributes if your only goal is Paragon experience. You can simply open the Undercity and repeat the experience-focused cycle.
3. Infernal Hordes Paragon XP Farming
Infernal Hordes are the newest of the three major Paragon leveling methods in this setup. Their extremely high monster density and rapid Elite spawns make them particularly effective when combined with the correct War Plans.
This method can also be excellent in a group, but the increased Monster Power means you need a sufficiently strong build.
Build the Right War Plans
Start with the Cult of Annihilation path. The Doomsayer is important because it gives you another Elite target during each round.
Next, invest into Method of Madness. This helps you repeatedly access favorable offerings, and the most important choice is Hellborne.
Hellborne count as Elite monsters, so getting as many Hellborne offerings as possible increases the number of Elite enemies you can kill during an Infernal Horde run.
You should also invest in Impending Doom. At the relevant War Plans rank, when there are 30 seconds remaining in a Horde round, the nodes around the arena activate events.
These events can spawn additional Elite enemies and Hellborne, creating another major source of experience.
Maintain Splinter of Terror
For Infernal Hordes, Splinter of Terror is the key Splinter.
It causes a Doomsayer to appear at the start of each round. After killing an Elite Pack, you have roughly 25 seconds to choose your next offering and kill the Doomsayer to continue the experience cycle.
Each Infernal Horde round lasts one minute, so the objective is to keep the buff active for as much of the round as possible.
The timing becomes especially important when using Impending Doom. When around 30 seconds remain, try to kill your final Elite with enough time left to choose the offering, activate the event, and reach a Doomsayer.
This allows you to take advantage of the additional Elite spawns instead of simply waiting for the round to end.
Increase Monster Power Carefully
This strategy can push Infernal Hordes to extremely high Monster Power, with runs reaching around +30 or +35 Monster Power.
However, higher Monster Power also makes enemies considerably tankier. Do not immediately jump to the highest level available.
Start with a difficulty your build can clear comfortably, run a few rounds, and increase the Monster Power only when you can maintain your Elite-killing speed.
For Hardcore characters, this is particularly important because sacrificing too much survivability for additional experience can make the farming method unnecessarily dangerous.
Which Paragon 300 Method Should You Use?
All three methods offer a different approach to fast Paragon leveling.
Helltides require the least preparation and are easy to start. Use Splinter of Wise and Splinter of Damnation, then prioritize Elite Packs while maintaining your movement speed.
The Undercity is built around a highly repeatable Attunement cycle. Use Jade Epiphany to generate experience orbs, Pathfinder to reach the boss quickly at Rank 4, and Destruction Primeval Power to increase the experience gained.
Infernal Hordes require more War Plans investment but can produce huge amounts of experience thanks to their dense monster spawns. Focus on Cult of Annihilation, Method of Madness, and Impending Doom, while using Splinter of Terror to maintain the experience cycle.
Whichever method you choose, the same principle applies: maximize Elite kills and minimize downtime. Moving quickly between packs, objectives, and bosses is what turns these activities into efficient Paragon XP farms.
Finally, remember to use the Tree of Whispers event while it is active.
