Ultimate Scream is on the official EA SPORTS FC 27 Season 2 roadmap. A recent leak suggests that the campaign could arrive on October 23, while EA has confirmed that Season 1 ends on October 22.
For players deciding what to do now, the priority is to finish wanted season rewards, decide which packs are worth holding and avoid committing a squad budget to an unrevealed card.
How Credible Is October 23?
A leak dated October 15 suggests that Ultimate Scream could arrive on Friday, October 23, 2026. That fits the broad Season 2 window in EA's FC 27 roadmap and falls the day after Season 1 ends.
These details make it a coherent planning estimate, but they do not independently verify the date: EA's roadmap gives no exact campaign launch day.
Information | Evidence | What It Means for You |
Ultimate Scream in Season 2 | Official roadmap | The campaign is planned |
Season 1 ends October 22 | Official Launch Update | Prioritize rewards with an approaching deadline |
Ultimate Scream starts October 23 | Unconfirmed leak | Use as a provisional date for checking content |
Campaign launch hour | Not established | Do not schedule around an assumed reset time |
Plan around the season deadline first; keep the possible promo launch separate from the pass reset. Neither establishes when a level-based reward becomes obtainable.
Player Rumors and Related Pass Rewards
No FUT 27 Scream squad is established by the evidence reviewed as of October 15. Circulating artwork shows an 89-rated Luis Suárez, but it supplies no evidence of a live item or whether he would come through packs, an SBC or another route.
Reserving FC 27 coins specifically for him would therefore tie up resources without even knowing how the card could be obtained.
Separately, an unauthenticated Season 2 pass report places 88 CM Karchaoui or an 86×3 pack at Premium level 30, with 86 Thompson and 87 Fermín on the ordinary track.
Its connection to Ultimate Scream has not been established. The reported Premium placement provides no basis for treating Karchaoui as free or expecting both options. Do not pay for Premium on this report alone.
Karchaoui also had an 88-rated Scream item in FC 26, so check the game version when comparing images. That overlap does not prove the new report false. A meaningful player-versus-pack comparison will require the released item and final pack terms; it is not a decision you need to make today.
FC 27 Changes the Upgrade Calculation
In FC 26, Ultimate Scream combined permanent Role+ and Role++ upgrades with a temporary boost to 99 in one random face stat for seven days. Evolution Scream items were excluded from those full-moon upgrades.
SBCs, Objectives and Live Events also accompanied the campaign. These are historical examples, not a published FIFA 27 content list.
FC 27 already changes the starting point: EA says Campaign items launch with all of their position's Roles++ unlocked. Last year's Role-based progression would consequently have less to add in those positions.
If EA retains full-moon upgrades, their focus or benefit could change. That is an inference from the announced rule, rather than evidence for a particular replacement system.
For a player budgeting FUT 27 coins, the useful comparison is the permanent card against the boosted version. If a temporary effect returns, ask whether the permanent attributes and PlayStyles would still improve your team after it expires.
A card that only solves your problem during a short boost has a shorter useful window. The same Scream design on an Evolution item would not, by itself, establish identical upgrade eligibility.
Pack and Coin Decisions before October 23
Start with your FC 27 Season 1 level and objective timers. Identify the reward you still want, the progress remaining and which available objectives can close that gap before their deadlines. Prioritize an attainable reward: putting it off risks missing a dated opportunity, while the rumored new pass has no established access conditions to act on yet.
For packs, first check whether each can be retained and what items it can contain. Holding an eligible pack could give it access to the Scream player pool if you open it while those cards are available.
A pack restricted to a different item group would not gain that benefit simply because you opened it later. Holding also delays whatever useful players or challenge items its current contents might provide; it does not guarantee a promo pull.
Keep FIFA 27 coins available for a specific squad need rather than a speculative 99 boost. If your current starter is adequate for this week's matches, postponing that upgrade preserves options. If a weakness is already costing you results, a limited improvement can serve an immediate purpose even before Scream arrives.
Your Situation | Decision and Trade-Off |
Your lineup works and packs can be saved | Holding some preserves a chance at eligible event items later; you delay using their contents now |
You need players or items for a current target | Opening relevant packs can help now; those packs will no longer be available for the promo |
A rumored temporary boost is your main attraction | Compare the permanent item first; do not value a short effect as a lasting upgrade |
A Scream Evolution appears | Read its own eligibility and reward rules before committing a player or resources |
On the reported launch date, check whether the squad is actually available before opening saved packs.
Then separate pack items from SBC, Objective and Evolution routes, and compare their stated costs and requirements. Check the Season 2 pass independently for its own rewards and access terms.
