summary
FC 27 introduces major changes to Football Ultimate Team, focusing on greater squad-building flexibility, more tradeable rewards, improved match rewards, and slower Player Item progression. For players looking to strengthen their squads and make the most of the expanded Transfer Market options, choosing to buy FC 27 Coins can provide additional flexibility when targeting specific Player Items. New systems such as Hall of FUT, Gallery, Holographic Items, and Streamlined SBCs expand progression options, while The Grounds, Archetypes, and Manager Live bring new experiences to Clubs and Career Mode.
Football Ultimate Team: More Choice and Better Progression
FC 27’s FUT changes are built around three main ideas:
· More choice in how Clubs are built: A greater proportion of rewards will be tradeable, while FUT Coins, SBCs, Evolutions, Campaigns, and other upgrade paths receive more balanced roles.
· Preserving player identity: Player Items will upgrade more gradually, with fewer Campaigns, smaller Campaign squads, and more targeted Attribute and PlayStyle improvements.
· Every match moves the Club forward: Rivals, Champions, and Squad Battles will provide increased FUT Coins, while eligible matches can award 15–100 Season Points, up to 850 per day.
Tradeable Rewards, Tokens, and TOTW Voting
Tradeable rewards will appear more frequently across Objectives, modes, and other FUT activities. This gives players additional ways to use the Transfer Market, complete Evolutions, access the Premium Pass, or save Coins for future purchases.
Champions Tokens also return. The Champions Token Store will offer different reward choices, including Champions-specific Team of the Week Players with Red Item designs, Evolutions, and cosmetic rewards.
FC 27 will also introduce a TOTW Community Player system. During Season 1, the community can help select one player for each of the first six TOTW squads. Voting begins each Tuesday, and players can change their choice before voting closes on Monday at 11:59 PM PT.
Packs, Rarity, and Quick Sell Changes
FC 27 removes the Common and Rare Player distinction. Pack names and structures will therefore become more consistent, using terms such as Mini, Small, Large, Jumbo, and Giant to indicate size.
Although Packs will no longer specify a minimum number of Rare Items, the intended likelihood of receiving base Player Items rated 82 OVR or below will remain consistent with comparable FC 26 Packs.
Quick Sell values are also being adjusted. Player Items will have values more closely aligned with previous Rare Player Items, while non-Player Items will have more consistent values across different Rarities.
Player Items, Campaigns, Evolutions, and Chemistry
FC 27 aims to make Player Items remain relevant for longer. Upgrade pacing will become steadier across SBCs, Evolutions, Campaigns, and mode rewards.
The maximum number of PlayStyles+ is reduced from five to three, while Attribute increases between Campaigns will also be reduced. Campaign Player Items will launch with all Roles++ for their position unlocked, creating more flexibility when building formations.
Campaign squads will become smaller and more focused. The first Campaign after Early Access, Destined for Glory, will feature 15 players per weekly Campaign Squad release. There will also be approximately five fewer Campaign weeks, with those periods replaced by Series content such as TOTY Warm Up and TOTS Warm Up.
Evolutions remain a major squad-building system but will appear at a lower frequency and at more deliberate points during the year. New tailored requirements will focus on positions and Attributes, helping players preserve the strengths that make individual Items distinctive. Training Camp Evolutions will also make it easier to begin developing lower-rated players.
Chemistry is receiving targeted adjustments. ICONs still receive full Chemistry when played in position and provide a +1 League link to every League, while their Nation contribution falls from +2 to +1. Heroes retain full Chemistry in position, but their League contribution drops from +2 to +1 while their +1 Nation contribution remains.
ICONs, Heroes, and Hall of FUT
FC 27 establishes clearer distinctions between ICONs, Heroes, and the new Hall of FUT tier.
Base ICONs will start at 88 OVR, with refreshed Attributes and PlayStyles. Heroes continue to represent players remembered for major moments and important club or league careers.
Hall of FUT celebrates players associated with memorable FUT experiences, strong links, standout performances, and lasting squad impact. Base Hall of FUT Items will be obtainable through the Token Store, while special Campaign versions will enter Packs later in the year.
Match Rewards and FUT Game Modes
Post-match rewards are being increased significantly. Rivals and Champions can provide several times more FUT Coins than the roughly 500–600 Coins typically earned from an FC 26 match, while Squad Battles will also receive increased rewards.
The major modes retain clearer roles:
· Rivals: Ongoing competitive PvP.
· Champions: Competitive play with exclusive rewards.
· Squad Battles: Flexible PvE progression.
· Live Events: Rotating experiences connected to Campaigns and Seasons.
Rivals will have more noticeable reward differences between Divisions, more frequent Bounties, increased FUT Coins, and tradeable Pack rewards at launch.
Champions retains its 15-match Finals structure. Champions Qualification Points can now be earned through both Rivals and Squad Battles, while the Division 6 qualification requirement has been removed.
Squad Battles will also award CQP, giving PvE players a direct route toward Champions qualification.
Holographics, Streamlined SBCs, and Gallery
Eligible Campaign, TOTW, Hero, ICON, and other special Player Items can appear as Holographics from TOTW 1 onward. Items rated 87 OVR or below can appear as Regular Holographics, while 88 OVR and above can appear as Pristine Holographics.
Streamlined SBCs provide another way to use Club Items. Instead of completing a traditional squad, players contribute eligible Items toward a target score across multiple submissions. Item Scores are determined by OVR, Rarity, and Holographic status.
Gallery adds a long-term collection system. More than 100 Sets will be available at launch, covering major leagues, clubs, Rarities, Squad Foundations, and TOTW. Items recorded in Gallery history remain relevant even after leaving the Club and can contribute to future Sets.
Gallery Sets provide Club customization rewards, while higher Grades provide Gallery Tokens. The Token Store will offer Hall of FUT Items, Kits, Crests, Holographic rewards, and other content.
Season 1 and Early Access
Ultimate and Ultimate+ Edition pre-orders provide Early Access from September 18, with Season 1 officially running from September 17 to October 22, 2026.
Early Access content includes:
· TOTW 1 and 2
· Ones to Watch Player SBCs
· Challenge and Upgrade SBCs
· Evolutions
· Squad Foundations
· Season Point opportunities
Ones to Watch returns with upgrades based on real-world performances. Items rated 83 OVR or higher retain their Base Attributes, while lower-rated Items are boosted to 83 OVR. Each Item receives at least 60 Pace and all positional Roles++.
Destined for Glory begins September 25 and includes players such as Kylian Mbappé, Morgan Rogers, Matheus Fernandes, Alexander Isak, and Bryan Mbeumo. These Items can earn upgrades throughout the domestic football season based on performance milestones.
The Grounds and Archetypes
The Grounds becomes the new home of Clubs in FC 27 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. League and Playoff matches return alongside new Club experiences.
Archetypes remain central to Pro development. Players earn AXP and Grounds Coins across street and stadium activities, while Club Tournaments and Playoffs provide larger rewards.
Amps introduce temporary gameplay adjustments, including Signature Amps inspired by famous footballers. Resetting a build does not cost Grounds Coins, encouraging experimentation. At launch, Amps will not provide PlayStyle+.
Season 1 introduces European Nights, featuring UEFA Champions League-themed events, followed by Screaming Grounds for Halloween. The Grounds Stores will also rotate streetwear inspired by football, music, local culture, clubs, and seasonal themes.
Career Mode Expands Further
Career Mode continues to develop through Manager Live, Community Driven Challenges, Creator Challenges, and seasonal ICON content.
Manager Live launches with challenges such as:
· Transfer Savvy: Make a profit during the opening transfer window.
· Winning Start: Remain unbeaten early in the League Season while winning at least three matches.
· Top at Christmas: Finish top of the league at Christmas.
· Rio's Rising: Develop Rio Ngumoha into a superstar during the 2026/27 season.
Players can also create and share their own Manager Live Challenges, while Creator Challenges are planned for the Career community.
ICONs return to both Player Career and Manager Career. Season 1 will feature Kaká, Antonio Di Natale, Alessandro Del Piero, Raúl, and Robin van Persie, with additional ICONs becoming available throughout future Seasons.
Overall, FC 27 connects FUT progression, Clubs, The Grounds, and Career Mode through more flexible reward systems, slower Item power progression, additional player choice, and more seasonal content. For players looking to strengthen their Ultimate Team and take advantage of these expanded progression options, cheap Fut 27 Coins can provide another way to build and upgrade a competitive squad.
