Summary
Version 7.1 and 7.2 bring some of Genshin's strongest supports yet: Vajinita (current banner), Escafia (next), and Lana and Mitia (next patch) — and if you're short on Primogems, a Genshin Impact top up can help you secure them. Here's a breakdown of each to help you decide who's worth wishing for.
Vajinita
What she does: Strong buffing, instant kit uptime, great quality of life, and interruption resistance. She underperformed in pre-release hype but ended up slightly stronger and nicer to use than expected — not meta-defining, just solid.
Worth it for:
Skirk — Yes, very much. Close to her signature weapon or Fina, and better than Fina in some cases. Not a terrible alternative to Escafia.
Vestna — Yes, but not necessarily best-in-slot. Vestna R1 + Diano is about 10k higher, though Vajinita improves with Cryo main character C6 and should blow past 200k.
Sandron — Absolutely best-in-slot, but Danica will almost certainly be better. Skip unless you really want Mermaid.
Lohan — Totally worth it after testing.
Novallet — Slight upgrade, now his best team, but only if you still want to play him.
Chaza — Didn't like it. Mizuki — Better than thought, still not worth. Varka — Decent, not great.
Downsides: Only works with Hydro or Cryo DPS (and certain Stellar Hydro/Stellar Swirl DPS). Not universal.
Vertical investment: Good C1 and C2. Weapon is okay, better with C1.
Escafia
What she does: Off-field damage, teamwide healing with burst (initially teamwide, then to active character), and 30% Geo resistance shred. Geo resonance with Lunar Crystallize adds more shred. Gives EM buff to Lunar characters based on DEF.
Worth it for:
Skirk — Definitely, if you already have Skirk and don't have Escafia yet.
Lohan — Yes, one of the areas she's still worth it. Freeze variant is better than melt, and having two variants is powerful.
Aayaka — Worth it if you're still playing her.
Novallet — Fine if you love him and want him stronger.
Sandron — Don't recommend; Vajinita is better and Danica will likely be even better.
Chaza — Don't get her now that Novallet has a best team.
Var — Don't get her.
Downsides: Team restrictions are rough — hurts longevity and synergy. She fails to reach full potential often.
Vertical investment: Good C1, decent R1. Fav is too good for Stian. Battle pass weapon outperforms with high refine, but at base Fav is better.
Note: Escafia's weapon is low-key better on Chevruuse because Chevruuse doesn't need ER and still procs the healing passive.
Lana
What she does: Good off-field damage, teamwide healing with burst, 30% Geo resistance shred, Geo resonance with Lunar Crystallize, EM buff for Lunar characters based on DEF, and buffs Lunar Crystallize at baseline.
Worth it for:
Zabai — Obviously yes. Best upgrade, not strictly required, but makes fighting the Gecko boss much better because it requires healing.
Navia — Nicole Duran is good, but Lana version is better. Lana C2 is really good.
Noel, Ning Wong, Itto — Worth it if you're actually playing them (need Beina).
Jong Lee DPS — Fine with Lana, but wouldn't bother now because Jong Lee buffs are probably coming and he may become a DPS.
Nefer — No, interferes with Lunar Bloom. Llama C1/C2 or Danica are better.
Colombina DPS — Solid choice if you want to cover all bases.
Downsides: Lunar Crystallize limits future potential. If they do Geo again, it probably won't work with Lunar Crystallize.
Vertical investment: Broken-tier C2. If you have two five-star pulls to spare, Lana C2 is arguably the best choice.
Overworld: Goated mining — great if you mine crystals regularly.
Mitia
What he does: Good off-field AoE Stellar Superconduct damage (not as high as Yae Miko), teamwide EM buff (only 30 EM), and buffs Stellar Superconduct damage based on EM (bigger buff than Yae Miko). Can hold Thrilling Tales or Wandering Evenstar.
Worth it for:
Sandron, Rio, Sino, Cryo MC — Side grade, slight upgrade, or slight downgrade. Wait and see what Sarita and Danica do.
Sustainless teams — Upgrade, but not recommended for most players.
Replacing Yae Miko or Odet — Yes, can help create two teams (Stellar Swirl + Stellar Conduct).
Downsides: Lacks a niche where he's truly best-in-slot — at least for now.
Vertical investment: Some of the strongest early cons in the game. C1 and C2 are broken-tier. If they stay, he becomes one of the best characters in the game with C2. But they may be nerfed before release.
Overworld: Fine, nothing special.
New Player / Off-Meta Building
Vajinita — Nice if you have a plan. Good for fun teams.
Escafia + Vajinita — Great freeze core. Put any Cryo/Hydro characters on and it'll be decent.
Lana + Colombina — Good Geo core. Makes Geo characters viable. Fun to play.
Mitia — Can be your Stellar Conduct enabler. Cryo main character is such a good DPS that you'll always have a spot for him.
Serious Meta
Vajinita — Good if you have Skirk or Vestna. Not an obvious pull — you need a plan.
Escafia — Yes for Skirk.
Lana — Yes if you have Beina and no other Lunar DPS. Also try to get Zabai. If not, skip.
Mitia — Wait and see.
Final Thoughts
All four are really broken, but all are a little niche. None are must-pulls for everyone — though if you do decide to pull, you can buy Genshin Impact top up, and MMOEXP is a trusted and reliable option for that. The must-pulls are Odet and Sarita — those are for everyone. For now, these characters are all good pulls depending on what you have.
