Summary:

The latest Helldivers 2 Items update brings several combat changes and bug fixes, but some problems remain. Fire-based Stratagems and grenades are currently behaving incorrectly, the GL-52 De-escalator can damage its user, and Melta Mines may fail to activate. Illuminate defense missions can still have enemies reach generators unexpectedly, while the Suppressor and Maelstrom have separate issues. Players can also check new Maelstrom skins and test the Headbutt emote.

1. Fire Effects Are Currently Bugged

The most important issue affects several fire-based Stratagems and grenades. The G8 Emulation and Impact Incendiary Grenades can fail to apply their expected fire and panic effects. Enemies may walk through flames without being properly affected.

The fire behavior also appears to end incorrectly. Once an enemy stops burning, the effect can disappear immediately instead of following the expected duration. However, primary weapons such as the Coyote and Hyena still work normally, with enemies burning for around three seconds. Secondary weapons are also unaffected by this reported issue, which mainly concerns Stratagems and grenades.

2. GL-52 De-escalator and Orbital Cooldowns

The GL-52 De-escalator can now damage its user when the arc explosion hits the Hell Diver. Standing and firing directly at the ground can result in heavy self-damage. Going prone provides a safer method because the explosion is much less likely to hit the player.

Orbital Stratagem cooldowns also depend on planetary modifiers. Testing shows around 80 seconds on a normal planet, compared with approximately 98-100 seconds when a cooldown-increasing modifier is active.

3. Melta Mine and Illuminate Defense Problems

Melta Mines can sometimes fail to activate after being thrown. They may not trigger correctly when they land improperly or fail to attach to an enemy, making their performance less consistent.

Illuminate defense missions also appear to have unresolved problems. Wretches and Crushers may still clip through structures and reach protected areas despite previous fixes. Some players have also reported enemies appearing near generators unexpectedly, while Harvesters can sometimes fire at generators from unusual angles.

4. Suppressor Magazine Issue

The Suppressor remains a popular light-penetration weapon because of its high fire rate and suppressed design. However, its short magazines still reportedly lack the intended ammunition buff received by other small-magazine weapons.

Players using the Suppressor should therefore expect its ammunition capacity to remain a limitation until the issue is addressed.

5. Maelstrom Armor Bug and Customization

The Maelstrom has a reported armor issue on its right side. Destroying certain components can cause additional damage even when using a weapon that normally lacks the required penetration. Players should be careful when attacking or operating around this section.

The vehicle also has several customization skins available through the vehicle customization menu. Although the Maelstrom's appearance can be changed, its limited firing arc remains a major gameplay consideration.

6. Headbutt Emote

The new Headbutt emote can be used against teammates and Helldivers 2 Items for sale enemies, similar to the Kick emote. It can interact with melee-damage passives such as Rock Solid, but its practical combat value is limited. It is mainly a fun interaction rather than a serious combat tool.

Overall, players should expect several useful additions alongside temporary bugs that may affect fire builds, defensive missions, mines, weapons, and the Maelstrom.
