Pearl’s Combat Role and Core Mechanics
Pearl is an Ice character from the Elation path whose main role is sustaining the entire team while enabling Elation characters to deal more damage. Her biggest strength is a unique shared shield called Repellency, which is generated from her Certified Banger resource.
Each Certified Banger provides 200 points of shared shielding, with a maximum of 50 charges. This means Pearl can provide up to 10,000 shared shield points. When an ally takes damage, 60% of that damage is redirected to the shared shield. Allies below 50% HP also receive another 30% damage reduction, making Pearl extremely effective at keeping Elation teams alive.
Pearl can maintain this resource throughout combat and restore team HP with her enhanced Basic Attack. Her enhanced Basic also generates SP, deals AoE damage, and provides additional Elation damage based on the relevant characters' stats.
Enhanced Basic Attack and Skill
Pearl's enhanced Basic Attack is the center of her normal rotation. It heals the entire team, generates SP, removes one debuff from allies, and deals Elation damage. Because it provides both healing and SP instead of consuming SP, Pearl will usually prefer this attack over her Skill.
Her Skill restores HP and generates 15 Certified Banger, but it is generally a backup option when her resource is low or the team needs additional survivability.
Pearl's Elation Skill does not directly deal damage. Instead, it provides up to 40% additional Elation damage to allies' next attacks based on the number of Elation characters in the team.
Pearl’s Ultimate: Action Advance and Extra Turns
Pearl's Ultimate is arguably the most important part of her kit. It grants 20 Certified Banger and applies her Archetype buff to a selected ally while restoring all three enhanced Basic Attack charges.
The target also receives up to 30% Action Advance depending on the number of Elation characters. In a full Elation team, the target receives an additional turn as well.
This makes Pearl more than a traditional sustain. She can effectively create additional turns for key damage dealers or supports. However, characters taking an extra turn cannot use their Ultimate during that turn, so choosing the correct target is important.
Her Ultimate also provides temporary Certified Banger and Punchline effects and has a powerful energy refund mechanic. When the target later uses their Ultimate, Pearl receives 90 fixed Energy, significantly reducing the difficulty of cycling her expensive Ultimate.
Best Pearl Build
Pearl is relatively easy to build because she does not require offensive stats. Her main priorities are Speed, Defense, and Effect RES.

Speed is Pearl's most important stat because additional turns allow her to heal, generate SP, and cycle her Ultimate more frequently. Around 160+ Speed is a strong practical target, while extremely optimized builds can push beyond 180–190 Speed.
Around 3,000+ DEF is already useful, while 4,000 DEF represents a very high-end build. Pearl also benefits from Effect RES, with approximately 50% total Effect RES being a useful target.
She does not need Crit Rate or Crit DMG. Focus your substats on Speed first, followed by DEF and Effect RES.
Best Light Cones for Pearl
Pearl's signature Light Cone is her strongest dedicated option. It provides substantial DEF and additional benefits after using her Elation Skill, including enemy vulnerability, fixed Energy, and teamwide healing.
For players looking to save resources, Shroom's Adventures is an excellent budget alternative. It provides personal Elation bonuses and increases the damage enemies receive from Elation attacks.
Other supportive Light Cones can also work, especially if they provide Speed, Energy Regeneration, or team buffs. However, Pearl's signature and Shroom's Adventures are the most straightforward choices for dedicated Elation teams.
Best Relics for Pearl
The new Dreamland Actor four-piece set is designed around Pearl's playstyle. Its effects reward her targetable Skill or Ultimate by increasing Elation damage and providing a teamwide Crit DMG bonus.
The four-piece Eagle set is another interesting option because Pearl can cycle her Ultimate very quickly. More actions mean more healing, SP generation, and Ultimate opportunities.
For Planar Ornaments, Energy Regeneration sets are highly valuable because Pearl wants to maximize Ultimate frequency. Broken Keel is also useful for its teamwide Crit DMG contribution.
Best Pearl Teams
Pearl is highly specialized and reaches her full potential in Elation compositions. Strong teammates include Silverwolf 999, Evanessia, Sparksy, Yao Guang, and other Elation characters.

The key to Pearl's Ultimate is choosing targets who can reliably use their Ultimate afterward, allowing Pearl to benefit from her 90 Energy refund.
In the Silverwolf 999 showcase, Pearl can alternate her Ultimate between Yao Guang and Sparksy depending on who is closer to their Ultimate. Sparksy is especially valuable because she can make excellent use of the extra SP and help cycle Pearl's Ultimate.
In an Evanessia team, Pearl can frequently target Evanessia because of her reliable Ultimate frequency, while Yao Guang remains another valuable target when the rotation lines up.
Pearl Eidolons
Pearl is already highly functional at E0. Her early Eidolons mainly improve damage and team buffs rather than completely changing her gameplay.
E1 improves Elation damage and provides additional survivability. E2 is particularly powerful because it adds a strong teamwide damage bonus while improving the value of her Action Advance mechanic.
E4 further increases her Elation Skill damage, while E6 provides teamwide Resistance Penetration and significantly boosts her enhanced Basic Attack.
For most players, E0 is enough to experience Pearl's complete gameplay loop.
Is Pearl Worth Pulling?
Pearl is an extremely specialized character. Inside Elation teams, her combination of sustain, damage mitigation, healing, SP generation, Action Advance, and extra turns gives her an unusually complete support package.
Outside Elation compositions, however, much of her value is lost because many of her strongest effects depend on Elation teammates cheap Honkai: Star Rail Top Up.
If you are building an Elation team, Pearl can become a core part of the composition. If you are not interested in Elation characters, saving Stellar Jades for future characters may make more sense.
Overall, Pearl's biggest selling point is not simply her ability to keep the team alive. She combines sustain with turn manipulation and Ultimate cycling, giving Elation teams a completely different level of consistency and flexibility.
