Summary

The Series 4 Winter Festival Playlist is now live in Forza Horizon 6, bringing a fresh set of seasonal challenges and rewards. One of the quickest ways to earn Festival Playlist Points is the "Ohtani Region" Treasure Hunt, which rewards players with 3 Playlist Points and 100,000 Credits. If you need extra funds for upgrades, you can also buy Forza Horizon 6 Credits. The Winter season runs from August 27 to September 3, 2026, giving you plenty of time to complete it.

Find the Ohtani Region

First, open the Festival Playlist and select the Series 4 Winter Treasure Hunt. The clue tells you to follow a photo to discover the treasure, but it does not immediately place a chest marker on your map.

The Ohtani Region is located north of Tokyo City and near the western side of the map. For this particular Winter Treasure Hunt, you need to head toward the Matsumi Great Bridge area.

Locate the Treasure Chest

Once you reach the Matsumi Great Bridge, don't stay on the main paved road. The treasure chest is hidden underneath the bridge, along a dirt road/track on the lower level.

Look for the dirt path running beneath the bridge and drive toward the underpass. The chest is positioned on the northern side of the bridge area, so you may need to follow the dirt road around slightly before spotting it.

The good news is that there is no specific car requirement for this Treasure Hunt. You can use practically any vehicle in your garage. A car with reasonable off-road ability can make the dirt section easier, but a standard road car can also reach the chest.

Smash the Chest and Claim Your Rewards

After finding the wooden treasure chest, simply drive into it. You don't need to complete a race or perform any additional objective. Breaking the chest immediately completes the Treasure Hunt and awards 100,000 Credits plus 3 Festival Playlist Points.

Those three points can help you progress toward the Winter reward cars, including the 1974 Toyota Celica GT at 20 points and the 1989 Toyota MR2 SC at 40 points.

Final Tips

The Ohtani Region Treasure Hunt is one of the easiest Series 4 Winter activities once you know the location. Head to Matsumi Great Bridge, drop down to the dirt road underneath it, find the chest, and smash it. With 100,000 Forza Horizon 6 Credits and 3 Playlist Points available, it is well worth completing before the Winter season ends on September 3.
