PoE 2 0.5 Ritual Farming Guide: Most Efficient Strategy

POE 2 Jul-03-2026 PST

Summary

PoE 2 0.5 patch has changed the farming landscape significantly. Some strategies became worse, others improved, but Ritual remains at the top. With Omen of Whittling costing nearly five divines each, Ritual farming is incredibly profitable. This guide covers the most efficient Ritual strategies, how to reach 70,000 to 80,000 tribute per run, and how to minimize tablet costs while maximizing returns.

POE 2 Divine Orbs

Part 1: Getting Started with Ritual

The Head of the King

The most important component of any Ritual farm is the Head of the King. Most Ritual strategies rely on it because it provides more tribute, better chances for valuable items, and improved Ritual outcomes overall. Teleport to Karth and use the Head of the King to begin. This item can be purchased from the currency exchange and is essential for maximizing Ritual efficiency. PoE 2 0.5 Ritual Farming Guide: Most Efficient Strategy

Map Selection

Focus on city maps such as Feridon City or Azamite City. While it is ideal to run all six maps inside city biomes, using one or two maps outside the city can be more cost-efficient. The first map of the set should be outside the city, followed by city maps for the remainder. This approach saves currency while still providing strong returns from the city layout.

Atlas Tree Setup

For the Ritual Atlas tree, take Taint and the option that grants a 50% reduced penalty to tribute from monsters with increased toughness. This guarantees as much tribute as possible. The main tree is less important, but prioritizing tablet bonuses is recommended. Having a full atlas completed works well too, as all small nodes contribute to overall effectiveness.

Part 2: Master and Tablet Strategy

Choosing the Right Master

Juggernaut is heavily recommended for Ritual farming. Unexpected Missions adds additional random modifiers to maps, increasing tribute. Partial Translations provides up to 40% increased effect of explicit modifiers on tablets, which is a huge bonus for cheaper rerolls and more tribute. Doryani is an alternative, offering irradiated modifiers from Disengage Safeties and effectiveness from Evolutionary Pressure. However, Juggernaut with these two nodes performs better overall due to the tablet synergy.

Tablet Prioritization

The most valuable tablet is the one that grants ritual altars on the map, allowing rerolling favors three additional times. These tablets cost 13 to 20 POE 2 Divine Orbs depending on the market. Rolling for three additional uses is ideal, but buying a tablet with zero additional uses and divining it can be more cost-efficient when prices are favorable. Monitor the market regularly to determine the best approach.

The Efficient Tablet Combo

Instead of running two reroll tablets, which pushes the strategy cost too high, use one reroll tablet and two utility tablets. The first utility tablet should have an increased chance for omens and monster sacrifice, granting increased tribute. The second utility tablet should have rerolling favors costing reduced tribute, and more chance for omens. This combo costs approximately five divines for the utility tablets, making the total tablet cost around 18 divines for ten maps. With six maps in the Head of the King, this provides two city runs per tablet set.

Why This Combo Works

The first utility tablet maximizes the chance of spawning omens, including valuable ones like Chaotic Quantity, which sells for approximately 55 exalted each. The second utility tablet reduces the tribute cost of rerolls while increasing omen chances. Together with the single reroll tablet, this combination provides excellent returns without the high cost of a second reroll tablet.

Part 3: Waystone Selection

Early Maps

For early maps, basic corrupted waystones with around 20% pack size and some rarity are sufficient. Tier 16 maps provide slightly more tribute but are not worth the investment except for the last few maps. These early maps are primarily for setting up the Ritual chain and do not need expensive waystones.

Final Maps

For the final maps, run full pack size maps to maximize tribute. Use Omen of Chaotic Rarity, Omen of Chaotic Effectiveness, and Omen of Chaotic Monster together. Applying these with a chaos orb yields approximately a 47% pack size. Corrupting the result can produce even better rolls, such as a 54% pack size with 25% monster rarity. These high pack size maps provide significantly more tribute and better rewards.

Crafting High Pack Size Maps

The process is straightforward. Take a basic waystone, apply the three chaotic omens simultaneously, then use a chaos orb. This guarantees a map with a high pack size. Corrupting the resulting map can increase pack size further or add other beneficial modifiers. This is the best way to prepare final maps for maximum Ritual returns.

Part 4: Running Ritual Maps

Boss Priority

Killing the boss first is ideal if possible, as the boss gets resurrected in all other rituals. However, this is only recommended for the last maps of the chain. Early in the chain, tribute amounts are lower, and reroll tablets are not yet in use, so killing the boss first provides less value. For early maps, complete the Ritual encounters without prioritizing the boss.

Tribute Management

Early maps yield approximately 30,000 tributes, with higher amounts in later runs. Use rerolls to search for valuable items like Omen of Dextral Exaltation. When found, defer the item rather than buying it immediately to reduce the price over time. This strategy ensures tribute is not wasted on expensive early purchases.

What to Buy

If tribute is abundant, purchase basic items like Omen of Amelioration. Continue rerolling and deferring valuable items like Whittling, Dextral Erasure, and Sinistral Erasure. Items like Chaotic Quantity should be bought immediately when available, as they provide consistent profit. Keep buying basic items when extra tribute is available, as any purchase is better than leaving tribute unused.

Deferral Strategy

Deferring valuable items is one of the most important Ritual mechanics. When a valuable item appears, defer it rather than buying it immediately. The price will decrease over subsequent Ritual encounters, making it more affordable. This allows tribute to be stretched further and more items to be acquired over the course of the farming session.

Part 5: Profit Strategies

The Big Hits

Head Hunter and Mageblood are the big jackpot items. While rare, they can appear in Ritual rewards and provide massive profits. These items are the reason some players invest heavily in reroll tablets. However, for consistent profit, focusing on omens is more reliable.

Stable Profit from Omens

Omen of Whittling is the most consistent high-value item, with stable demand and prices around five divines each. Even without jackpot hits, Ritual farming provides stable income from omens. Basic omens like Chaotic Quantity sell for around 55 exalted each, with ten providing approximately two divines. Omen of Amelioration and other common omens also contribute to steady returns. Consistent returns make Ritual farming a reliable currency strategy.

Tablet Cost Efficiency

Continuously check tablet prices. Buying a tablet with zero additional uses and divining it can be cheaper than buying a three-use tablet directly. When the price difference is significant, divining is the more cost-efficient approach. For example, if one-use tablets cost 14 divines and three-use tablets cost 17 divines, buying the cheaper tablet and divining it may be more economical. Recheck prices regularly to optimize cost efficiency.

Market Awareness

The Ritual market fluctuates based on supply and demand. Monitoring tablet prices, omen prices, and other Ritual rewards ensures that purchases and sales are timed optimally. This awareness is essential for maximizing profit margins and avoiding overpaying for tablets or selling omens at low prices.
