Summary:
This POE2 Currency farming strategy combines Memory Trauma boss rushing with Beasts, Heist lockers, Blueprints, Ore and Mercenaries. A long-form test generated 357.5 Divine Orbs in profit over roughly 9.4 hours, averaging about 35 Divine Orbs per hour.
PoE 2 Memory Trauma Farming Strategy
If you are looking for a reliable PoE 2 currency farming strategy, Memory Trauma boss rushing is one of the strongest options to consider. The core idea is simple: use Memory Tears on favorable maps, speedrun the connected maps, defeat the final boss, and collect the guaranteed Echo of Trauma.
Echoes of Trauma are valuable because they are used for crafting Enmity Rings and can be sold directly to other players. During testing, each Echo of Trauma was worth around 1.9–2 Divine Orbs, creating a strong baseline income before counting additional loot.
The strategy works especially well because much of its profit is effectively guaranteed. Instead of relying entirely on rare monster drops or lucky jackpots, you repeatedly complete Memory Trauma chains and receive valuable rewards from the final encounter.
Why Graveyard Is a Strong Memory Map
The recommended setup focuses on the Graveyard Memory Trauma route. Fungal Hollows are another possible option, but Graveyard has several advantages, particularly when it comes to map layouts and boss access.
A typical Memory Trauma can provide three to five maps. The goal is not to fully clear every map. Instead, you should move directly toward the boss and only stop for profitable mechanics that are located along your route.
This makes Graveyard particularly efficient. Some alternative routes can contain slower layouts or annoying boss encounters, reducing the number of Memory chains you can complete per hour.
The faster you complete each chain, the more Echoes of Trauma you generate, which directly improves your PoE 2 Divine Orb per hour.
Speedrunning Is the Key
The biggest mistake with this strategy is trying to fully clear every map. Your objective is currency per minute, not monsters killed.
Run directly toward the boss arena. If you see a Heist Locker, valuable Beast, Ore deposit or other profitable mechanic directly along the path, take it. Otherwise, keep moving.
A good run can complete several maps within only a few minutes. In testing, around 50–60 maps per hour was achievable depending on how much inventory management and Beast administration was included.
This approach also makes the strategy accessible to players who prefer fast mapping over complicated mechanics.
Add Beasts for Huge Passive Profit
Beasts are one of the biggest reasons this strategy becomes so profitable. Yellow Beasts can be collected naturally while you are already moving through maps, meaning they require very little additional mapping time.
The recommended setup uses Bestiary mechanics together with a duplication effect. When a yellow Beast is duplicated, every successful capture effectively becomes two sellable Beasts.
At the prices used during testing, yellow Beasts were worth roughly 5 Chaos each, meaning duplication could push their effective value toward 10 Chaos per captured Beast.
With several yellow Beasts appearing in many maps, this becomes substantial passive income.
Red Beasts can also produce major jackpots. Some valuable Beast types can sell for fractions of a Divine Orb or even multiple Divine Orbs, making them worth checking whenever they appear directly on your route.
How to Manage Beasts Efficiently
Many players avoid Bestiary because they dislike the inventory management. However, the testing showed that the administrative work can be surprisingly efficient.
The basic approach is to separate low-value Beasts from valuable ones, keep the profitable red Beasts, and bulk-sell your yellow Beasts.
Over approximately 10 hours of testing, the strategy generated around 76 Divine Orbs worth of Beast value. The total administration and selling time was only around 45 minutes.
That works out to an extremely high value for the time spent managing the Beasts. Importantly, this should be viewed as passive value added to the main strategy, rather than claiming that ordinary Beast farming alone generates 100 Divine Orbs per hour.
If you dislike Bestiary, you can simply remove it and still maintain a very strong Memory Trauma strategy.
