Summary
WoW Forever continues to evolve during beta testing, with Blizzard adding class adjustments, quality-of-life systems, economy features, and new progression options. Recent changes include a 50% increase to Druid Wrath damage, updates for Hunters, Paladins, Priests and Shamans, improved gathering rules, cheaper talent resets, a Cooldown Manager, character statistics, the Black Market Auction House, Recent Allies, bad-luck protection, and changes to dungeon rewards. Since the game is still in beta, WOW Forever Gold, these systems may continue to change before launch.
1. Class Changes
Druids received a major early-leveling improvement. Wrath base damage has been increased by 50%, making the opening levels smoother before Bear Form becomes available. Thorns and Retribution Aura now update dynamically according to current stats, preventing players from keeping a stronger effect after changing equipment. Druid Mangle is also currently called Primal Bite.
Survival Hunters are receiving improvements for the upcoming level 30 cap. Strider Kick deals 100% weapon damage and provides 30% movement speed for three seconds.
Paladin Righteous Fury currently provides 60% additional Holy threat, while Renew and Rejuvenation can now critically heal correctly. Windfury Totem and Grace of Air can no longer stack, requiring groups to choose between the two effects.
2. Racials and Gathering
Racial balance remains an active part of beta testing. Gnome's resource discount is standardized at 10%, while Tauren Cultivation now has character-level requirements for higher-level herbs. At level 60, Tauren can gather herbs requiring up to 300 Herbalism skill.
These restrictions help prevent low-level characters from accessing advanced materials too easily. Controller support for Xbox and PlayStation-style gamepads is also receiving additional improvements.
3. Quality-of-Life Features
The Cooldown Manager is now being tested for Druids, Mages, Priests, Warriors and Warlocks. Players can track important abilities, create visual alerts and configure sounds for selected procs.
Character inspection has also improved. Players can inspect characters from a greater distance and view their talents more easily. A new Statistics panel tracks achievements such as exalted factions, epics, legendaries, mounts and vanity pets.
Talent resets are temporarily reduced to one silver once per hour, allowing players to test different builds during beta.
4. Economy and Social Systems
The Black Market Auction House has arrived at Powderfuse Port in Riverglades. Mr. Craft can offer rare crafting materials at fixed gold caps, creating another option for obtaining valuable resources.
Recent Allies is designed to make previously grouped players easier to encounter again. Bad-luck protection also improves group questing by making quest-item progress more consistent between party members.
5. Dungeon Rewards and Progression
Blizzard is testing dungeon reward changes, including potentially changing some blue quest rewards to green while keeping stronger rewards for final or capstone quests. Group quest items can also use a round-robin distribution system to spread rewards between party members.
Dungeon XP remains under evaluation, with current systems placing significant value on dungeon quest completion. Players should watch future beta updates for further adjustments.
6. New Collectibles and Long-Term Features
Snake Form has appeared as a special Wailing Caverns-related appearance, although customization through the Barber Shop is not currently available. Blizzard is also continuing to gather feedback through surveys and podcasts while expanding the beta population.
Overall, World of Warcraft: Forever Gold is combining Classic-style progression with modern convenience. Class balance, gathering, dungeon rewards, social tools and customization are still being refined, so players should expect additional changes before launch.
