Summary
This guide details Aion 2 Global Season 1's launch PvE systems, releasing October 5 with early Founder's Pack access. It highlights key differences from Korean servers, including larger dungeon and raid parties and no launch Heroic gear, making Unique gear top-tier. Core PvE content includes ranked Expeditions, Arcana-yielding Transcendence dungeons, field bosses, and a 10-player raid. Players earn vital progression materials and Kinah, and can buy Aion 2 Kinah to speed up gear upgrades, market trades, and early-game progression efficiently.
Aion 2 Global is set to launch on October 5 with Season 1 content. Players who purchase a Founder's Pack gain access five days early. This version brings several notable differences from the Korean servers that shape the early game experience.
Party sizes are larger. Expedition dungeons run with five players instead of four. The main raid supports ten players rather than eight. Most importantly, Heroic rarity gear does not appear at launch. It is absent from dungeon drops and crafting. Unique gear becomes the highest tier available, which changes progression priorities and the value of every activity.
This guide covers every major PvE system available at launch, what it rewards, how often it can be run, and how Global differs from Korea.
Expeditions: Exploration and Conquest Dungeons
Six Expedition dungeons form the core of early PvE. Each can be run on two difficulties: Exploration and Conquest.
Exploration versions act as tutorials. They introduce mechanics with more forgiving patterns. Players encounter the first one, Krao Cave, around level 22 while leveling. A guide character walks through the fights.
Conquest is the real version. Better gear drops come from these runs, and most Odyle Energy gets spent here in the early weeks. Conquest dungeons are ranked by stars. Krao Cave and Draupnir are one-star. Urugule Canyon and Vakran Sky Island are two-star. Fire Temple and Ferocious Horn Den are three-star.
Item level requirements sit higher on Global. Players cannot skip the one-star content the way some did in Korea. Krao Cave and Draupnir must be cleared to raise item level before moving into two-star dungeons. Hard mode Conquest is not available at launch. It arrives a few weeks later once average combat power rises.
Every Expedition contains three bosses. Groups choose between a one-boss run that skips mid bosses and focuses only on the final boss, or a full three-boss clear. Fire Temple sometimes used a two-boss variant in Korea. Each boss killed in Conquest has its own chance at gear. Full clears offer the best odds but take longer. One-boss runs trade drop quality for speed. The choice depends on whether the group is farming specific pieces or simply collecting materials and currency.
Rewards come from an Odyle Energy Cube. Opening it costs Odyle Energy, which regenerates at a steady rate. Membership increases the recovery. Energy should not be wasted on content the character has already outgrown in item level.
Exploration runs award bound currency. Conquest runs award unbound currency. Running Conquest on alternate characters becomes a practical way to transfer resources to a main character. In the economy of Aion 2, Aion 2 Kinah plays a central role in player trading and progression.
Dungeons also grant achievements for first clears and speed runs. These typically reward enhance stones, currency, and titles. Titles in Aion 2 provide permanent stats simply by owning them, making achievement hunting worthwhile once a group knows the fights.
Because Heroic items are missing at launch, Unique pieces are the best drops. Unneeded gear can be saved for later upgrade systems or extracted for enhance stones and a chance at the appearance. Each dungeon also drops Featherdowns and artwork scraps. Collecting enough scraps offers a chance to craft a painting for the market or personal use. Enough Featherdowns allow guaranteed crafting of the matching wings, which can be added to a collection, given to an alt, or sold.
Transcendence Dungeons and Arcana Progression
Two Transcendence dungeons are available at launch: Deus Research Base and Shattered Arkanis. These are timed runs. Groups fight two named bosses, kill a required number of monsters, and then unlock the final boss. The timer never stops, so constant movement is essential.
Global launches with four difficulty levels, matching Korea. Each higher level adds new debuffs such as poison pools, damage-over-time effects, extra boss mechanics, and higher monster kill counts.
The primary reason to run Transcendence is Arcana. These systems form a major part of character power. The dungeons drop Arcana and materials used to upgrade existing ones. Global improves on the Korean launch by allowing Rare Arcana to drop from level 1. In Korea, level 1 only produced Common pieces, making early clears less rewarding. That change makes level 1 worthwhile from day one, especially since Heroic items are unavailable.
Heroic amplified stone fragments should not be expected from these runs at launch.
Field Bosses, Paintings, and Pantheon Stats
Field bosses are large named monsters found in the open world. Each faction has many of them. In the Korean version there are 24 field bosses, with each faction holding unique variants. Most respawn on timers ranging from one and a half to four hours. Larger ones such as High Commander Lata take longer.
The in-game map includes a field boss tab that shows locations and timers, removing the need for external trackers.
These bosses drop gear, paintings, and materials. Drop chance scales with damage dealt, so most players tackle them in parties or forces. Valuable items are often sold on the market and the proceeds split. Note that market access requires membership. Random groups may not always honor loot agreements, so clear rules or private groups are safer.
Some materials craft paintings that do not drop directly. Paintings and statues placed in the Pantheon provide permanent character stats. Field boss kill achievements also grant currency, materials, and titles such as Executioner for defeating High Commander Lata.
Sealed Dungeons, Strongholds, and Daily Systems
More than one hundred Sealed Dungeons and Strongholds exist for farming Daevanion Crystals. These provide another steady source of progression materials.
Duty Missions and Command Scrolls offer daily and weekly objectives. Smart rerolling of Command Scrolls improves efficiency. Daily Dungeons have weekly entry limits that encourage consistent play without forcing burnout.
Overworld farming remains useful, and pet Insight levels are capped at level 3 at launch. Raising pets contributes to overall power and utility.
The Sanctuary Raid and Supporting Activities
The main raid at launch is the Abyssal Forge: Ludra, a ten-player Sanctuary encounter. Global also features the Snowfield of Sorrow with some design adjustments compared to Korea.
Nightmare mode provides solo boss practice and additional rewards. Ascension Trials award Stigma Shards, another key progression resource. The Shugo Festival adds mini-games and reward keys for a lighter side activity. A few elements such as Crobakhi's Secret Depository, Instant Clear Tickets, and certain membership bonuses remain unconfirmed for the Global version at the time of writing.
Managing Resources and Economy at Launch
Odyle Energy limits how many high-value cubes can be opened each day. Membership increases regeneration and unlocks the market. Bound currency stays on the character while unbound currency can be transferred, making alt runs valuable.
Players looking to accelerate progress often seek efficient ways to acquire more currency. Those who want to buy Aion 2 Kinah should research reputable sources carefully, as the in-game economy relies heavily on this resource for gear, materials, and market purchases.
Titles from achievements, Pantheon paintings from field bosses and dungeons, Arcana from Transcendence, and Unique gear from Expeditions all contribute to power. Without Heroic items, the early meta focuses on maximizing Unique pieces, collecting every available title and painting, and carefully spending limited energy.
Preparing for Launch Day
The larger party and raid sizes change group finding and coordination. Higher item level gates force players through the full set of one-star content. Rare Arcana on the lowest Transcendence level gives a smoother start than Korea experienced.
Focus first on learning Exploration versions, then move into Conquest for real rewards. Track field boss timers through the map. Clear daily and weekly limits consistently. Save energy for content that still upgrades your character. Collect Featherdowns, artwork scraps, and achievement titles whenever possible.
Aion 2 Global launches with a solid set of PvE systems that reward both focused farming and broader exploration. Understanding the differences from Korea and the absence of Heroic gear helps players set realistic goals for the first weeks of Season 1. With careful energy management and attention to unbound currency, progress remains steady even without the highest rarity items.
