1. Frozen Trail and Store Update
Update 1.47 adds two new color variants to the Reposa set and requires a download before entering the game. The major highlight is the upcoming Frozen Trail first look, scheduled for September 23 at 10 a.m. PDT. Embark plans to provide an extended preview of the October 8 update, with more gameplay systems and features expected to be revealed.
Players also have an important cosmetic reminder. The community-made Rubber Duck rewards will no longer be delivered through the inbox after October 8, so make sure to log in and claim them before the deadline.
2. Gameplay, Inventory and Map Fixes
Several gameplay problems have been corrected. Door blockers will no longer create a duplicate mesh on the opposite side, while doors that appeared open but were actually closed should now remain synchronized.
Keyboard inputs should also work correctly after launching the game unfocused or returning from the background. Inventory fixes prevent items from being placed into incompatible containers, such as putting non-quick-use items into the belt. Additional safeguards have also been added for invalid inventory slot indexing.
Buried City receives lighting improvements, while Riven Tides gets visual fixes. Incorrect object colors have also been corrected for lockers, toolboxes, office chairs, cars, chests, and shipping containers.
3. Performance, Stability and Skill Tree Changes
The patch addresses inventory tooltips retaining data from previous screens, which could increase memory usage during long sessions. Crash detection and diagnostic tools have also been improved.
Rare server-shutdown crashes and Xbox resource conflicts have been fixed, while PS5 players receive stability improvements related to physics and inventory changes. The Expedition Project button now shows when an Expedition is paused after its cutoff and prevents players from committing resources.
Skill point assignments have also changed to hold-to-assign by default, helping prevent accidental selections.
4. Fair Play and Anti-Cheat Improvements
Embark continues expanding its fair play systems. Accounts showing bot-like behavior are being sanctioned, with detection being refined for suspicious activities such as XP farming. The team is also monitoring unusually valuable item transfers and item duplication.
Shared-license policies are being strengthened so sanctioned players have more difficulty returning through another account. Embark is also extending first-strike permanent bans when violations are detected with a high degree of confidence. Players are encouraged to report suspicious behavior to help improve detection.
5. Expedition 5 and Known Issues
Expedition 5 closes its departure window on September 29. Players must complete the Expedition Project and register before the deadline, with no last-call period planned.
Several known issues remain, including Xbox Series X|S crashes, quick-wheel switching problems, broken weapon-swap animations after vaulting, Baron Husk animation problems, floating Shredders, Leapers passing through ARC turbines, incorrect shots while riding ARC machines, revival jitter, incomplete Matriarch ranged attacks, inaudible footsteps during constant shoulder, downhill sliding problems, reset custom keybinds, and disappearing long text lists.
These issues remain under investigation and may receive further fixes in future updates.
