Summary

One week into Season 15, the Tower leaderboards tell the story. Warlock sits on top with a sub-two-minute Tier 150 clear, driven by the reworked Blazing Scream build, while Druid's second-place finish leans on a bug interaction that may not last. Below is how all eight classes rank, which builds are carrying them, and what to play if you're starting a fresh character now with Diablo 4 Items in mind.

How the Rankings Work

These rankings are based on the highest recorded Tower completions, with clear times as the tiebreaker. Tower is the most consistent endgame power metric in Diablo 4, so it's the fairest way to compare classes early in a season. Note that in-game leaderboards no longer display equipment, so build details are pulled from the runs themselves.

One shared note for every top build: the talisman setup matters. The ideal loadout uses the Seal of the Diamond Mind charm to lower set bonus requirements by one, pairs it with a Hellfire Torch matching the set bonus you want, adds three more set bonus charms, and activates a five-piece set bonus while keeping two unique charm slots open. And almost every top build is designed around using Leoric's Crown - it's that much of a power spike.

S-Tier: Warlock - Blazing Scream

Warlock is the class to beat. Its fastest Tier 150 Tower clear is under two minutes, and it did that even after a brief infinite-damage exploit was removed.

That exploit is worth a mention: early in the season, the Fiend of Abaddon interaction let Warlocks scale damage without limit and broke the leaderboards within hours. Blizzard fixed it in roughly seven hours, which was a remarkably fast response. Even with the bug gone, Warlock stays at the top.

The build is Blazing Scream, no contest. Two uniques were reworked this season in a way that turns the burning skull skill into a true damage engine. The Tower-pushing variant uses the non-orbiting skullsplitter effect, spamming skulls as fast as possible. The engine underneath is the endless barrage variant of Bombardment, which kills enemies by the dozen per second at max stacks; each kill feeds life on kill, resource on kill, and the Black Soulstone splinter, which scales hard once it reaches 200 stacks slotted in Leoric's Crown.

Roughly ten Blazing Scream variants exist, but the skull-spam version is the one clearing fastest. Apocalypse is a solid secondary build, but the gap between it and Blazing Scream - both in power and in how smooth it feels to play - is wide right now.

A-Tier: Druid - Tornado Stormwolf (with a caveat)

Druid's recorded Tier 150 finish comes in just under five minutes, but the asterisk is huge. The top Druid runs are exploiting an interaction between the Grief runeword unique - which converts a portion of damage into poison over time - and the old Mountain charm set bonus that boosts Werewolf skill damage. Together they create an infinite damage feedback loop that keeps scaling the longer a fight drags on.

That's why top Druid runs look so different from each other: the loop does the heavy lifting, so skill choices are just utility and preference. If the interaction gets patched, expect Druid to drop several tiers.

Strip the bug out and the strongest Druid build on paper is Tornado Stormwolf, a classic archetype enjoying a resurgence. It's the build worth investing in if you want a Druid that stays viable after the leaderboard cleanup.

A-Tier: Sorcerer - Firewall

Sorcerer's fastest Tier 150 clear clocks in at 6:13 on a Firewall burning-over-time build. It's better than ever this season thanks to the crop of damage-over-time boosters, a splinter that raises all damage while removing crit chance, and the new runeword options.

At its peak, the build uses the Phoenix runeword unique - relevant both for its unique effect and its affixes. The tradeoff: this is a focused Pit-and-Tower build that feels flat everywhere else. If you want a smoother all-rounder, Blizzard builds are still clearing around Tier 146, barely behind while being far more comfortable in the open world.

B-Tier: Rogue - Penetrating Shot

Rogue had a famously rocky start: a heavily bugged build crushed the early season, but it was disabled fast enough that it barely touched the leaderboards. The legitimate top run is a Tier 149 that squeezed in just under the ten-minute Tower timer.

Every high-tier Rogue Tower run centers on Penetrating Shot, paired with the Eagle Horn unique that makes the shot bounce off walls, plus poison imbement to stack damage over time. It uses Leoric's Crown and the Enigma chest - the new runeword that replaces your evade with Sorcerer's teleport, and it shows up across many classes because near-constant teleport on a resource cost solves so many mobility problems. Dance of Knives remains good but caps around Tier 130.

B-Tier: Paladin - Thorns Blessed Shield

Paladin clears Tier 145 in 9:14, and virtually every notable run uses the same build: the thorns variant of Blessed Shield, where throwing the shield pulses your thorns around it.

This version got a real boost this season. Leoric's Crown helps, the way mythic uniques function now supports it, and thorns percentage from Blessed Shield newly scales with skill ranks. Paladin also picked up better core-stat scaling in the same patch. It's a solid state, though most of the power is concentrated in that one build.

B-Tier: Barbarian - Burning Charge

Barbarian also clears Tier 145, in just under ten minutes, with a burning damage-over-time Charge build. You spam your movement skill to apply burn and stack amplification, leaning on the new D2 runeword weapons and the extra slots Barb brings to bear. The top run uses four Season 15 new uniques: Leoric's Crown, Stone of Jordan, The Furnace, and the Cult of Arms runeword.

This build was already strong last season and is simply stronger now. Whirlwind sits only about three tiers below - not negligible, but comfortably playable if you prefer it, and it's far more comfortable outside the Pit and Tower.

C-Tier: Necromancer - Bloodwave

Necromancer's top run is a Tier 143, about two minutes faster than Spiritborn's equivalent clear. The build is Bloodwave, refreshed for Season 15. The leading run uses the Infinity runeword unique for its stats and vulnerability application, Leoric's Crown for the splinter space it provides, and Enigma for teleport - a big deal for an otherwise slow class.

The next build down isn't far behind: a Skeletal Mage / Archmage setup built around the Hand of Nazuha unique sits only a handful of tiers lower, so Necromancer has reasonable breadth.

C-Tier: Spiritborn - Pestilent Swarm

Spiritborn rounds out the bottom with a Tier 143 Pit clear in about nine and a half minutes. It's running the same Pestilent Swarm build that has topped the class for three seasons: Counterattack with the swarm variant, using the Ring of Writhing Moon unique to make swarms orbit you and the Aspect of Infestation to echo direct damage as poison over time.

The reason it lags is structural: the build requires a specific unique helmet, so it can't use Leoric's Crown - the single biggest power item in the season. That said, the gap between Pestilent Swarm and every other Spiritborn build is enormous, which is why Spiritborn still can't catch up even though other classes get the crown.

Reward Highlights and What's Actually Strong

The big takeaways for rewards and investment: Leoric's Crown is the item that defines builds; Enigma teleport is a near-mandatory mobility pickup; and the talisman set-bonus trick (Diamond Mind + Hellfire Torch + three set charms) is what unlocks the ceiling. The new D2 runewords - Infinity, Enigma, Phoenix, Grief - are doing the most work across the leaderboard.

Who to Play Now

Want the strongest clear? Warlock, Blazing Scream. It's fastest, smoothest, and survived the bug fixes.

Want a safe long-term pick? Sorcerer Firewall or Druid Tornado Stormwolf - builds that won't evaporate if a bug patch lands.

Want comfort over speed? Barbarian Whirlwind or Sorcerer Blizzard - a few tiers lower but far more pleasant everywhere else.

Avoid building around the Druid Grief loop or any infinite-scaling interaction; both are obvious patch candidates.

Final Verdict

One week in, Season 15's balance is the tightest it has been in a while. Even bottom-ranked Spiritborn is posting Tier 143 clears this early, and the gap between first and last is far narrower than in recent seasons. Warlock's Blazing Scream is the legitimate class to beat, Druid's second place comes with a visible expiration date, and Sorcerer's Firewall is the safest high-end pick. For players looking to buy Diablo 4 Items, understanding which builds are currently performing at the top can also help guide resource priorities. Expect the rankings to shake out further as more players hit the leaderboard ceiling—and as the obvious scaling bugs get patched.
