Unlike standard static promo cards, Destined for Glory items can receive upgrades based on real-world performances throughout the season. This gives players another reason to follow domestic league matches after building their early FUT squads.
A Slower Promo Schedule
One of the biggest changes to FC 27 Ultimate Team is the reduced number of traditional promo weeks. EA says roughly five weeks of campaign squads have been removed from the annual calendar so major events and their featured items can stand out for longer. Player Items will also be capped at three PlayStyles+, helping create a slower power curve.

The new FUT Gallery adds another progression layer. Players can collect Gallery Tokens and exchange them for rewards such as Hall of FUT items, Kits, Crests and Holographic rewards as the season develops.
