A major scoring feature is the introduction of Clipping Zones. Drifting through these designated areas provides additional points, giving skilled drivers another reason to carefully control their lines and angle. There is also no lap limit, allowing players to keep pushing their scores.
Map Changes Make the World More Dynamic
Shimanoyama Circuit is being transformed into a permanent Drift Attack location, making it a new destination for competitive drifters. Playground Games also confirmed plans for additional Evolving World Drift Attack locations in future Series updates.
This continues the game's broader approach of integrating activities directly into the open world instead of separating them behind traditional menus and loading screens.
New Cars and British Automotive Content
Series 5 will also expand the garage with fresh Forza Horizon 6 Cars. The standout reward is the 1990 Jaguar XJ-S Forza Edition, a fully customized drift-focused version that can be unlocked through the Horizon Festival Campaign. A standard Jaguar XJ-S will also become available through the Autoshow.
Starting September 10, the British Automotive celebration will introduce three new-to-Horizon cars through the Festival Playlist, while Car Pass owners can expect four additional new-to-Horizon vehicles.
