Pearl's Core Mechanics and Role
Pearl scales primarily with DEF and provides sustain through several overlapping mechanics.
Repellency and Damage Reduction
Pearl's Talent generates Repellency by consuming Certified Bangers. Each Certified Banger provides 200 Repellency, with a maximum of 10,000.
Repellency reduces incoming damage rather than functioning as a traditional shield, so allies can still lose HP while the effect is active. Pearl also provides a 30% damage reduction effect when an ally falls below 50% HP, giving the team another layer of protection during heavy attacks.
She can also provide Effect RES and cleanse one debuff with her Enhanced Basic Attack or Skill.
Her Enhanced Basic Attack is particularly important because it provides AoE healing and a stronger heal for the lowest-HP ally. Since it also generates Energy, it should generally be Pearl's main action during normal rotations.
Her Skill can generate additional Bangers and healing, but it costs Skill Points. Because of this, it is better reserved for emergency healing or situations where additional Bangers are particularly valuable.
Pearl's Ultimate and Elation Synergy
Pearl's Ultimate is the most important part of her kit.
When used on an Elation ally in a Mono-Elation team, it grants that character an extra turn followed by up to 30% Action Advance. This can significantly accelerate an Elation DPS's rotation.
The Ultimate also generates temporary Certified Bangers and Punchlines for the entire team. Although the Bangers and Punchlines themselves are temporary, they can still interact with mechanics such as Silver Wolf's MMR and Evanessia's Energy generation.
Pearl can also restore 90 Energy once per Ultimate when the targeted ally uses their Ultimate. Because of this, Ultimate timing matters considerably. Manual play is generally preferable to automatically casting Pearl's Ultimate whenever it becomes available.
For Silver Wolf specifically, the Punchlines generated by Pearl can help her reach important MMR thresholds much faster. In many situations, giving Pearl's extra turn to a slower support such as Sparksy can generate more overall value than directly advancing Silver Wolf, since Silver Wolf already has very high Speed.
Best Pearl Build
Pearl is relatively easy to build because she does not need offensive Crit stats. Her priorities are mainly DEF, Speed, Effect RES, and Outgoing Healing.
Light Cones
Pearl's signature Light Cone provides a large amount of DEF and improves both her sustain and utility. Its additional effects can increase enemy damage taken while also providing Energy and healing.
However, it is not mandatory. Mushroom remains a strong alternative for a full Elation team, especially when Pearl already has enough sustain and the team does not require additional Energy or healing.
Relics and Stats
Dreamlit Actor is a strong option for Pearl, while Speed-based combinations can also be considered when maximizing her Action Value is the priority.
For main stats, prioritize:
Outgoing Healing on the Body
Speed or DEF on the Feet
DEF on other relevant pieces
Energy Regeneration on the Planar Sphere/Rope setup where applicable
For substats, focus primarily on Speed, DEF, and Effect RES. Pearl's personal damage is relatively unimportant compared with the utility she provides to the rest of the team.
Skill Priority
A practical leveling priority is:
1. Elation Skill
2. Talent
3. Enhanced Basic Attack
4. Ultimate
The Elation Skill is important for team damage, while the Talent improves Pearl's damage reduction and sustain.
Best Elation Teams for Pearl
Pearl's strongest applications are concentrated around Elation DPS.
Silver Wolf
Silver Wolf receives one of the biggest upgrades from Pearl.
Pearl provides sustain while also generating Punchlines, improving MMR generation, increasing Elation damage, and giving additional turns.
For this team, Pearl's Ultimate is often better used on Sparksy rather than Silver Wolf. Sparksy's slower Speed means the extra turn generally provides more Action Value, while her additional Punchline generation helps Silver Wolf reach higher MMR thresholds.
At higher Eidolon levels, however, directly targeting Silver Wolf becomes more valuable because her additional MMR thresholds make extra turns significantly stronger.
Evanessia
Pearl also works extremely well with Evanessia.
Her Bangers, additional turns, and Energy interactions can accelerate Evanessia's Ultimate cycle, while Pearl's Elation Skill provides a stronger damage increase than a conventional attack buff in this setup.
Pearl's Ultimate is generally best used on Yaoang to generate more Ultimate opportunities, although Evanessia herself can receive it when an additional attack is needed to finish a cycle.
Wave Venturine
Wave Venturine can also benefit significantly from Pearl, particularly when played as the main Elation DPS.
His additional turns and Action Value help him charge his own Ultimate faster, making Pearl's Ultimate particularly valuable when directly targeting him.
However, Wave Venturine has another strong option through an Ash Blade-based setup, so Pearl is less essential for this team than she is for Silver Wolf.
Pearl Eidolons and Pull Value
Pearl's E1 provides a substantial Elation damage increase when the team meets the required Elation-character condition.
Her E2 is particularly powerful. It significantly increases Bangers and Punchlines while extending Action Advance to the whole team and adding further Elation damage. This makes E2 one of Pearl's most impactful upgrades.
E4 further increases Elation damage, while E6 adds substantial Resistance PEN and allows Pearl to contribute much more personal damage.
For most players, E0 is already sufficient. If investing further, E2 provides a major team-oriented upgrade, while higher Eidolons are primarily for players specifically looking to maximize the Elation setup.
Overall, Pearl is best viewed as a specialized Elation sustain rather than a universal sustain. Her combination of Repellency, healing, Action Advance, extra turns, Energy generation, Punchlines, and Elation damage makes her exceptionally valuable in Mono-Elation teams.
Among the tested Elation DPS options, Silver Wolf benefits particularly strongly from Pearl due to her interaction with MMR and Punchline generation.
