Summary:
Choosing a class in MapleStory Classic World Mesos is about more than damage or leveling speed. This ranking considers five factors:current DPS, gameplay enjoyment, fourth-job potential, cost, and party utility. DPS and fun receive the most weight, while fourth-job potential is based on what each class may become in the future.
1. S-Tier:Bandit and Fighter
Bandit takes the top spot because it combines exceptional single-target damage with excellent mobility. Savage Blow can provide some of the highest single-target DPS in the game, while Haste makes movement much more enjoyable. Bandits are expensive because claws, throwing stars, and upgrades are highly contested, but their damage and future Boomerang Step and Assassinate combination give them enormous potential.
Fighter is another excellent choice. Their Power Strike provides strong single-target damage, while their area attacks are effective against groups. Rush significantly improves mobility after the second job, making Fighters much more enjoyable to play. Rage also provides valuable party damage, giving Fighters strong utility without requiring excessive investment.
2. A-Tier:Page, Spearman, Assassin and Ice/Lightning Mage
Page has damage similar to Fighter but is slightly weaker with blunt weapons. However, Pages are extremely cheap to develop and could become much stronger with Explosion and Advanced Power Strike. Their main weakness is limited party utility.
Spearman has lower DPS than other Warriors but benefits from good weapon range and strong future potential. Hyper Body makes the class especially valuable later, although spears and polearms can be more expensive because of their popularity.
Assassin delivers excellent single-target damage through Lucky Seven and has outstanding mobility because it can attack while jumping. Haste is also a useful party skill. The major drawback is cost, with high demand for claws and throwing stars making Assassins one of the most expensive classes to build.
Ice/Lightning Mage is a strong farming class thanks to Thunderbolt, which can hit multiple enemies at range. Teleport also provides excellent mobility. Their single-target damage is less impressive, but their strong area clearing keeps them firmly in A-tier.
3. B-Tier:Hunter, Crossbowman and Fire/Poison Mage
Hunter has strong single-target and area damage, with Arrow Bomb offering excellent second-job mob clearing. However, the lack of mobility makes them less enjoyable when surrounded.
Crossbowman is cheaper than Hunter but has slower attacks and weaker DPS. Their fourth-job potential is promising because of Sharp Eyes and classic Sniper skills.
Fire/Poison Mage has respectable damage against fire-weak enemies but struggles elsewhere. Poison Breath is also a weak area skill, leaving the class below Ice/Lightning Mage.
4. C-Tier:Cleric
Cleric has the lowest general DPS, although Heal can be useful against undead enemies. Teleport makes movement excellent, while Blessing and Heal provide some party support. However, changes to Holy Symbol and uncertainty surrounding fourth-job skills make their future difficult to predict.
5. Final Ranking
Overall, Bandit is the strongest all-around choice, while Fighter offers an excellent balance of Buy MapleStory Classic World Mesos damage, affordability, fun, and party utility. Assassin is ideal for players who value mobility, Ice/Lightning Mage excels at farming, and Page or Crossbowman are attractive budget options. Ultimately, the best class is the one whose gameplay you enjoy most.
